Feathers in the Sky and more pages from my sketchbook
There were some interesting things in the sky yesterday. I could hear a lot of planes - the Sunderland Air Show was on - but I also saw these feathers in the sky, well clouds but they look like feathers. Click on the images to enlarge.
More pages from sketchbook 16
There were also a lot of bees and wasps flying around yesterday too, but I only saw one like this.

Tast 28
Take a Stitch Tuesday - the stitch this week is 'up and down buttonhole' or 'mirror buttonhole'.
Another new one to me and easy once I had worked out how to do it. Having said that there are a few errors on the stitching over the feather. I have used the stitch to couch down both the trim and the feather. A friend was having a sort out the other day and the trim was in the box, so thanks Gill. I put a few decorative beads on the feather too. Quite a simple page for my journal this week.

Domino Bird
Two versions of Domino Bird
one is a collage on a fantasy game board - paper bird & feather with dangly cord legs
the other is made from fabric which has been printed on an inkjet, then stitched and stuffed, cord legs and a real feather
