Two Faced
I thought I would do the side of a head in a different way, weird eh?
I used the mirror tool in sketchbook pro on my tablet. I used pixlr-o-matic on the background for the starry effects.

Art Buttons on Art
I have an article in the new issue of Cloth Paper Scissors about making art buttons. Well they are more like recycling than making from scratch. I use old buttons together with art work or found images. These are samples showing some of the recycled buttons. The buttons on the ATC above was actually an inkjet print that didn't print quite right but it was in my stash of papers. So it came in handy one day. The ATC was made from craft vilene and painted with acrylics, then stitched with running stitch and French knots.
The art on the blue buttons below were painted and roller stamped. The background is paper, with bits from a music book and bits of doyley which were both painted. Again hand embroidered.
I used brush pens and liner pen on the button man below. The background was hand painted and roller stamped paper. Button man was made from a book page, painted and applied to the background, then hand stitched.
For the one below I used a found image [not sure if it was from a book, a ticket or something else] which I had coloured with brown ink. I used a bought tag but altered it by applying painted music to it before attaching the button with metal thread.

Workman ATC and Valentine Bunnies
The Take a Word challenge is an 'old fashioned' ATC.
For my ATC I used a photo I took at Beamish museum for the background. The man is from the Graphics Fairy and the adverts on the trunk are from a photo also taken at Beamish which was on the side of a building.
As it is Valentine's day tomorrow I thought I would post this digital collage. The heart shape with the flowers and text was from a greetings card which I cut off and coloured. The cute bunnies are another image from the Graphics Fairy.

Envelopes and IF [suspense]
I created this envelope on the computer using a free label from here and doing a few alterations such as space for a stamp. I printed it and made it into an envelope. The envelope below was already a cute little square brown envelope. For this one I used a purchased stamp to decorate around the edges.
Illustration Friday's challenge this week is 'suspense'. I used this drawing from my sketchbook of a giant prawn and a man on a beach. Are the tables turned? Will the prawn eat the man instead of the other way round?
