Studio Workspace

My studio has been re-arranged and one of the clever things my husband came up with were these pull out drawers for my printer and cutter. Before they were on top of the workbench which made it difficult to work there because they were in the way.

Patterns on Drawers

Collage in a sketchbook. I started with a drawing of drawers, below, then applied the collage elements - text from a silk painting instruction sheet and pattern pieces from a magazine.
I used brusho and aquamarkers for colour.

More of Beamish

I love drawers so there are a number of photos of them. The drawers above were in the garage, most people were looking at the cars and things related to cars, while all I was interested in was the drawers. There was another set next to these but I couldn't get a good shot.

There was a new [to me] 'open store' with an array of objects

Little Drawers

I've probably mentioned before that I like little drawers so I thought I would show you these. I've had them a few years now, and although they are not the best quality I like them and they are very useful too.
My machine embroidery threads are kept in some of the drawers.

And beading threads in another.

The larger drawers at the bottom look untidy so I didn't take photos of them, but they are full of beads, jewellery and trinkets.

Printers Drawers / Button Drawers

I love drawers, little drawers and I got these a few weeks ago. They are not the best wood but I varnished them and I think they have come up a treat. I love the insides, they are printers drawers, it's what they keep their alphabet letters in. I've been collecting buttons for donkey's years and that is what I am keeping in them now, sorted into colours. Most of the buttons are from old clothes or spares that you get with new clothes. I probably won't use the buttons that often, but I like looking at them. Some of the photos are a bit bleary, I seem to move the camera as I press the button and I probably delete as many as I keep!
