Planning for 2016!

I'm posting today for The Cutting Cafe.   We had an Anything Goes theme to work with this week.  I've been needing a 2016 planner for all my design team assignments, so I took advantage of the free assignment to get it made.  I made one of these last year, and I've used it every single day of 2015.  It's the best thing I've ever created, so I knew I had to make another one!

Here's the front cover of this year's version.  The planner measures 8 1/2 by 5 1/2.

The first page is a 2016 calendar. I printed it on both side of the paper, rather than have a blank page.

Each month is arranged with a tab, stamped with that month on it, then a calendar of that month, then ...

day planner pages for writing more details

This is the back cover.
I used a combination of card stock and copy paper in this planner.  The front and back covers, and all the tabbed pages are card stock.  I cut the tabbed pages out on my Silhouette Cameo, using SVG files that Regina provides with the planner.  I stamped the months on the planner, but there are different options offered for the tabs, including months.

There are so many things you can add to your planner -- a monthly bill page, a pocket page, notes, doodles, lists -- lots and lots of options.  I learned from last year what I used the most and what format worked for me and duplicated that.

All card stock for this project is from Close To My Heart.  All ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Planner files are all from The Cutting Cafe.

I hope you'll visit the Cutting Cafe's blog on or after Nov. 7 to see what the rest of the design team has made.  It should be a great post with all the anything goes projects.  Leave a comment on that post and you could win 3 sets of your choice.  This would be a GREAT set to win!

Cool! for Inspiration Destination

I haven't posted for awhile for Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog (IDCB), but when I had a chance to work with an Art by Miran digi, I couldn't resist the opportunity!  The challenges at IDCB are always anything goes, they always last a week, and they start fresh each Wednesday, so come join us!

This is Winter Sofia, and I colored her with Copic markers.  I mounted Winter Sofia on a Spellbinders die cut.  The designer paper and sentiment tab are from Echo Park, Winter Park 6x6 papers.  The tie dye crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  I also used my handy dandy We R Memory Keepers scalloped Corner Chomper on this.

I really hope you can join us this week at IDCB.  I'd love to see what you make!

Winter Wishes --for Crafty Sentiments

There's a new challenge starting today at Crafty Sentiments Challenge blog.  Our theme this week is Purple and White.  This seems like it should be an easy theme, but I realized I have very few purple designer papers in my collection.  Time to shop!

This rubber stamp, from Crafty Sentiments Designs, is Snowman's Hug.  I colored it with Copic markers, using primarily shades of purples and whites.

I used a couple different Spellbinder dies, designer papers and ribbon are from Bobunny.  Card stock is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join us this week for our purple and white challenge!  Let me see those purple papers -- it'll help me in my shopping choices!

Sunflower Thoughts

It's Tuesday, and Digi Choosday.  Yea!  Go grab that 33% off discount code while you can!  You only have 24 hours, and there's some new GREAT stuff in the Polkadoodles Store!

Starting today, and for the next 2 weeks, our theme is "Reds, Oranges, &/or Browns"  -- the colors of Autumn in Wisconsin.  While on a car trip this past weekend, I saw fields of sunflowers past their prime.  They were the inspiration for today's flip card.

The sunflower image, colored with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils,  is from the Sundae of Seasons CD (Halloween).  The sentiment tag and designer paper is from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection.  It's also on CD.

The card base is cut out using my Big Shot and a Sizzix Scallop Square Flip-it Die.  There's some Timeless Twine on here, and some embellishments from Close To My Heart.

The "Favorite Color" challenge is still going on for another week, so join in on that one, too!

With Gratitude -- for Path of Positivity

Today is the start of a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This is the month where Thanksgiving is celebrated here in the U.S., and our theme this month is Gratefulness.

We have two awesome sponsors this month -- Kitten Scraps, and Scribbles Designs.  For this challenge, I worked with an image from Scribbles Designs.

This is Pumpkin Fall Topiary, and I colored it with Copic markers.  I used several different Spellbinders dies to cut it out.  The banner dies, and the die behind the sentiment are from Craftin' Desert Divas.   Papers for this card are all from Close To My Heart.

The Gratefulness Challenge run from today (Nov. 2) until Dec. 6.  We all have so much to be thankful for, so please join us at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog.

Be Yourself -- a New Release at DigiStamps4Joy

It's New Release Sunday at DigiStamps4Joy.  It's a busy day there, as it's also the start of this month's challenge.  There are several, fun, new releases that are VERY worth checking out in the DigiStamps4Joy Store!  I worked with the fun, quirky, and delightful Lil-Jill.

I colored her up with bright, happy colors using Copic markers, gave her a funky hair color to fit the mood of the card, and a spunky sentiment to go with it.

Papers and sentiment are from Close To My Heart.  The doily die is from Cheery Lynn.

Happy Fall! - for DigiStamps4Joy

It's a new month, so it's time for a new challenge at DigiStamps4Joy. This month, our challenge theme is 'Anything Goes with the Twist of Autumn or Fall'.  Here's my creation for the challenge:

I used Toadstool Thicket on this flip card, coloring the image with Copic markers.  It was such a lovely digi stamp to work with!  Absolutely perfect for the Fall challenge we're hosting!

This rectangle flip card was found in the Silhouette Design Store and was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo. There's some Timeless Twine, studs from Close To My Heart, and designer papers by Echo Park Reflections Fall 6x6 pad.

I hope you join us this month at DigiStamps4Joy for our Anything Goes with a twist of Autumn challenge.  I'd love to see what you make!
