It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges. For the next 2 weeks, the theme is "Add Glitter" -- it can be glitter, glitter glue, glitter paper, liquid pearls -- however you want to make your project sparkle!
I just love coloring up Di's Digi Stamp images, and there are so many wonderful ones in the Di's Digi Stamp Store! I used Hide & Seek Mice to create this:
I made this tag by first coloring the Hide & Seek Mice image with Copic markers. I then added Stickles glitter glue (Christmas red) to the poppies and added a clear Wink of Stella pen to the mushroom.
Papers on the tag are from Heartfelt Creations. The tag dies used to build the tag creation are by Paper Wishes. The fibers are retired from Close To My Heart.
Di's Digi Designs Challenges has the best prizes! You can win images from the Di's Digi Stamp Store -- some of the cutest digital stamps around! I hope you enter our "add some glitter" challenge this next 2 weeks. I'd love to see what you make!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge -- Flowers
Outlawz Sunday Songs & Rhymes -- Butterfly
Brown Sugar -- Flowers
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Merry Christmas Wishes -- for Imagine That! Digistamp
It's time for a bit of mid-month inspiration over at the Imagine That! Creative Playground. Have you found time to play along yet? This month's challenge goes until December 2, and the theme is - Christmas is Coming! And, yes, it is! Waaaaay faster than I'm ready for this year. Uff dah!
I used one of my favorite Imagine That! Digistamp images and some of my favorite Christmas papers (also from Imagine That! Digistamp) to create this Christmas card:
This card uses Imagine That! Digistamp Christmas Bird Trio (there are several sentiment options to choose from, and one without a sentiment at all, if you prefer), and Bella's Beauties Merry & Bright Digital Papers.

I colored the Christmas Bird Trio with Copic markers, then used some Icicle and gold Stickles on them to sparkle them up a bit. I printed the Christmas Bird Trio 3 more times onto Merry & Bright Digital Papers, fussy cutting their hats, and glueing them on their heads. A spot of red ribbon, and the card is DONE! Yea! Add it to the stash. Hey, I have to start thinking about mailing these Christmas cards out soon, don't I? Geesh!
Come join the Christmas card fun at the Imagine That! Creative Playground. Link up those Christmas cards! You have until December 2.

Seriously? A Big Day for Oddball Art and Whimsy Stamps
It's a big day! Oddball Art Company has a few new releases at Whimsy Stamps today. I got the privilege to be able to work with one of the very fun new stamps! This is part of the Lizzy Love Collection.
This is Alex and her Happy Tacky Christmas Sweater, found at Whimsy Stamps. I colored Alex with Copic markers. I'm not so sure she likes that tacky Christmas sweater she's wearing, but she sure does look cute!
The base of the card was created with various washi tapes. I used a Craftin' Desert Diva's die, cut several times, to back the Alex rubber stamp with. There's some UmWow Studio chipboard, decorated with Stickles, on this card, too.
Check out the rest of the new Lizzy Love Collection New Releases at Whimsy Stamps here. Then, check out the other creations by the design team on the Oddball Art Company Blog. And, of course, there's tons of fun and wonderful projects to be found at the Oddball Art Stamps Facebook Group.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Joy To All -- for Not Just Cards, and a winner!
It's the first Monday of the month, which means there's a new challenge starting today at Not Just Cards Challenge blog. The challenge is always Anything Goes, and it runs all month!
One of our sponsors this month is Ike's Art.
I used one of her fantastic images and created this Christmas card.
This digi image is called Robins. I colored Robins with Copic markers, then used some Stickles on the snow and berries.
I used several sizes of a Spellbinders label die to make the card. All papers and sentiment are from Close To My Heart.
Last month, Not Just Cards had a blog hop to celebrate our 1st birthday. Each team member used a sponsor's image and that image will be given away to one lucky recipient that participated in the hop. I used a digi, Little Friends from Crafty Sentiments.

Muslin, with an Easter Twist -- for 3 Girl JAM
I'm posting today for 3 Girl JAM. My usual style is a card or 3D item. However, 3 Girl JAM has some wonderful muslin bags in the store, and I want to showcase one of those today.
Here's one side of the bag:
This is the reverse side of the bag:
I got the idea for these bags from this video. The Easter Fun printable stamps are from The Cutting Cafe. I added some Stickles glitter glue to their tales.
This is the 2 inch by 3 inch muslin bag from 3 Girl JAM. I removed the cord that came in it and threaded in some Diagonal Striped Ribbon in it's place.
There are so many uses for these bags -- I love them for little gifts (or Easter candy). Pick some up today! Use discount code JO10, and get 10% off your entire order!

A Pretty Poinsettia -- for Eureka Stamps
It's Monday, and time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps. This week, our theme is "Use glitter". UGH! If you know me at all, you know I stay away from the stuff at all costs. Glitter and I do NOT mix! This challenge was just that -- a challenge. However, with some new products I wanted to try out, I managed to make a mess (of course), get glitter everywhere (I always do), AND have fun. I guess that's what this hobby is all about!
I used the Eureka Stamps digi, Poinsettia (digi16501) and colored it with Copic markers. Then, the glittering began. I added several shades of Stickles glitter glue to the Poinsettia itself. I used gold Frantage by Stampendous around the edges of the diecut, then mounted it on American Crafts glitter paper. The designer paper is by Echo Park. The "joy" sentiment is a diecut from Lawn Fawn. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. It is from the Ribbon Candy Bundle.
The cardstock base is from Close To My Heart.
I had my glitter challenge -- I hope you join us this week at Eureka Stamps and glitter up your own project. I'd love to see what you make!

Bring on the Flowers -- for Whoopsi Daisy
It's a busy Monday for me, and an exciting one! Today is my first post for the Whoopsi Daisy Challenge blog. The images are adorable, and the team has proven very helpful and easy going, so I think this is going to be FUN!
This week's theme is all about flowers, so I chose an image that had flowers in it. This is from Sheet 541, found in the Whoopsi Daisy Shop, and I colored it with Copic markers.
Signs of Fall are everywhere in NW WI, so I wanted a late summer, early fall feel to this card. The leaves are starting to turn on this tree, and the flowers look similar to those I see on my daily walks. That sweet girl and dog are basking in the last of the summer sun. The sentiment is a stamp from Great Impressions stamps. Designer Papers are from My Mind's Eye. I used 2 different Spellbinders dies on this card. The chipboard flowers are from Piccolo, with Stickles on top. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. It is the Seasons Bundle.
I have two other posts today, too, so don't miss those. I'm having them go live at various times throughout the day. Check back!
For more great Whoopsi Daisy inspiration, tune in next Monday. And, don't forget to enter the Throw on those Flowers challenge. You have all week!

Best Teacher
It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at Delightful Challenges. This week's theme is School Daze. With many schools already back in session, or, here in Wisconsin, heading back after Labor Day, school is on many people's minds.
One of my staff, who has worked for me for 8 years, has also worked her way through college. She was just hired to teach 4 year old kindergarten. She will be moving about 3 hours away. However, she likes the job and the residents so much that she still plans on working every other Saturday. In honor of her and her new career, I made her a notebook to take to the classroom with her:
This notebook uses several delightful Digital Delights by Louby Loo products: Scholar Myrtle, School Digital Paper Pack, and the School Sentiments Pack.
Here's a closeup of Scholar Myrtle, colored with Copic Markers...
Oh my, she looks studious, doesn't she? And that pencil background paper from the School Digital Paper Pack works beautifully with the theme.
Some 3 Girl JAM ribbon tied along the binding, and some UmWow Studio chipboard, covered with Stickles finished this School Daze themed notebook.
Our sponsor for this week's challenge is:

Bling it On! for Delightful Challenges
It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at Delightful Challenges blog. This week, the theme is "Bling it On". I'm not always one to use a lot of bling on my card, but I tried to go heavy on the bling this week!
I used a stamp from The Flower Set on this card, and a sentiment from the "Spring Sentiment Set"
I have some new ShinHan Touch Twin markers, and this is the first I've tried them. I used them on the flowers. There's also some Stickles to make them sparkly. I used some glitter paper to bling the card up a bit more, and some rhinestones from Close To My Heart.
This week's challenge is sponsored by Cut N Paste Memories.
Bling up a project, and link it up at Delightful challenges. You have all week!

Celebrate! for Eureka Stamps
Hello, and happy Monday! It's time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps, and this week's theme is "sports". We're a little odd in this house -- no interest in the usual football, baseball, or hockey. Sports, to us, is long distance running, biking, kayaking -- quiet sports. But every sport, regardless of the type, needs someone cheering them on. That was the inspiration behind today's card for the Eureka Stamps Sports Challenge:
I used digi 7701 (cheerleader) on this card. I colored her with Copic markers and added some Stickles to her pom poms to make them sparkle. Isn't she cute?
I used My Mind's Eye Collectable 6x6 papers on this card. The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart. I used two Spellbinders dies, and finished it off with some Timeless Twine in Simply White. And, of course, it needed a pom pom. After all, this is a card about cheerleading!
Come join the fun with our sports challenge at Eureka Stamps this week!

Christmas in June -- really!
I'm making one a month, and I need about 50. Hmm. Not enough months in the year. I'm talking about Christmas cards. But, hey, it's a start! Here's a card I made for the DigiStamps4Joy monthly Christmas challenge, using this month's free digi:
I colored the image with Copic markers, then added some Stickles to the mailbox and tops of fence posts to make it look like sparkling snow. I folded the paper over at the top of the snowglobe, then cut through both layers, leaving a bit of a fold at the top, creating a shaped card.
I have a giveaway going on, celebrating several events: I wrote my 500th blog post this week, I'm close to 400 followers on my blog, and I have 100 "likes" on my Facebook page, Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. To celebrate all those things, I'm having a giveaway: I have some Timeless Twine, some 3 Girl JAM ribbon, a Unity stamp set, a Close To My Heart stamp set, some Pinque Peacock embellishments, a 6x6 paper pad, and various embellishments that I need a home for. I also have two generous sponsors: DigiStamps4Joy is giving a $10 gift certificate to the store, and The Cutting Cafe is offering any 3 sets. WOW! If you'd like to be eligible to win, please leave a comment on any of my blog posts between now and July 6. I'll draw a winner on my birthday. It's my day, and you get the present! I'd also love it if you "like" my Facebook page and follow my blog, if you don't already.

It's Tulip Time!
Spring! My favorite time of year! The birds return, the flowers begin to bloom, and the mosquitoes have yet to appear! Tulips were the inspiration for today's card using a My Scrap Chick cutting file and Unity stamps.
This Tulip A2 card from My Scrap Chick is only $1.00, and it makes such a beautiful card! I used a stamp I got for free from Unity to stamp the butterfly and sentiment. The stamp set is called, "A Lovely Butterfly Day".
Here's a close up of the sentiment and butterfly:
And, I wanted you to be able to see those tulips up close. They are so pretty!
I used Ariana designer papers and cardstock from Close To My Heart. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. I used some Stickles on the wood birds and butterfly-- also from Close To My Heart.
We're having a very late spring here in NW Wisconsin, not yet hitting 70 degrees. I have one tulip in my yard brave enough to bloom, so I included a picture of it for your enjoyment.
I'm linking this card up to Unity Friends With Flair.

A Rainy Friday for Friends With Flair
Hello, and happy Friday, my crafty friends. We're in a rainy stretch of weather here, but the flowers are beginning to poke through and signs of spring are everywhere! I was feeling happy when I made this card, using Unity stamps:
I spent some time last week with 3 of my best friends, up north. It rained every day. And, snowed 4 inches one of the days. The day the weather was the worst, I spent some time coloring some stamped images I had brought along with Copic markers. This is one of those images. The stamp I used is "Spring & Bloom" -- an Itty Bitty. I didn't think I had any paper to match (really? with the million pieces of paper I have, I should be able to match anything!) but I hunted and hunted, and found some really old papers that I had forgotten I had. Please don't tell my husband. I tell him I know where everything is in my scrap room! And, usually I do. Maybe it's an aging thing? Not a too much paper thing?
I used a couple Spellbinders dies, some Stickles in the center of the flowers, and some bling from my stash on this card to finish it off.
Make sure you check out the great inspiration with the other Friends With Flair link ups. This group is incredibly talented! And, have a great weekend!

Seriously? for Pinque Peacock and Friends With Flair
It's Friday, and time for a product spotlight at Pinque Peacock. I'm spotlighting the large fabric buttons. They're big, they're bold, and they're beautiful. I was given two of them to work with to showcase today. Both of them are so pretty all by themselves.
These 1 1/2 inch buttons work so well for 3D projects because of their size. Here's what I created with the Pink Snakeskin button:
This cute little heart-shaped box was cut out on my Silhouette. I found the shape in the Silhouette Online Store. It's by Snapdragon Snippets. I made a floral ribbon to support the button from 3 Girl JAM Tuxedo Black crinkle ribbon from the Celebrations Bundle.
Here's another view:
I had a great time with the Summer Safari 1.5 inch button. I made another box. This one, I cut out on my Cricut, using the Cricut Artiste cartridge:
Isn't that owl just the cutest? This is Bernie, a Unity Stamp Company Itty Bitty. I colored him with Copic markers, then used some Stickles glitter glue on his hat and a Viva Decor Pearl pen on the snow on the branches. The paper is a retired paper from Close To My Heart, but I thought it was the perfect match for this Summer Safari button. The ribbon is once again 3 Girl JAM. I used Cherry Lipstick from the Pink & White Bundle.
And, another view of the button, owl, and box...
I love these buttons! There's a great variety of them in the Pinque Peacock shop. Check them out and see where your creativity takes YOU!
I also want to share a few pictures from last Saturday. My husband and I were on the Northern-most tip of Wisconsin, at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. These are ice caves, formed by the waves of Lake Superior and sandstone cliffs.
We had a perfect day for our adventure -- blue sky, no wind, and 17 degrees. It doesn't get better than that in January in Wisconsin!
We weren't the only ones that hiked 2 miles across frozen Lake Superior to reach the caves. There were probably over 1000 people there that day.
I think a troll or hobbit lives in this cave!
My very strong husband had to hold up that icicle or the whole side of the cliff would have fallen down. Good thing he was there!
I shared a few different pictures in yesterday's post, and I'm saving a few more for Monday's post. I hope you enjoyed them. It's a very beautiful, unique experience.

Happy Holidays, Happy Day!
Happy Hump Day, everyone! I've been looking forward to this day for a long time! Beckie, of Just B Creative Crazy, owner of the wonderful online store, Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions, has asked me to be a guest designer for her blog. Woohoo! I am super excited and very honored to be chosen. She sent me some wonderful supplies to work with and I'm having FUN! You'll see my creations today, and the next 2 Wednesdays.
For my first project, I immediately fell in love with the 1.5" striped grosgrain ribbon. It spoke of Christmas to me, so I went with a Christmas themed project.
I made this wall hanging using one of the sweet coasters from the Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions store as my base. I covered it with some designer paper from Close To My Heart, then sanded the edges. The adorable bird image is a Unity Stamp set, "Birdies, Hugs, and Mistletoe". I colored it with Copic markers and used some Crystal Stickles on the hat rim and pom poms, plus a little Christmas Red on the bow of the present. The sentiment is a Close To My Heart stamp, stamped with StazOn ink on to a wood flag piece from Unity Stamp Company.
Right now, I have this piece hanging on a wall between our kitchen and laundry room. I plan to give it to my in-laws for Christmas, but it sure does look cute where it is. Hmmm. Do I have time to make another one?

Giraffe and Butterflies for FWF
Whoop! So glad it's Friday!
The nursing home where I work is celebrating 50 years of serving the community today. We're having this huge picnic and open house. We've been planning it for months now, with most of the planning/ordering/decorating falling on my shoulders. I'll be VERY glad when this day is over. I love big events once they are underway, but I get nervous preparing for them, wondering what I've forgotten to do.
Remember last week, when I was at the Copic classes? Well, I learned a lot! I thought I should have a card today using Copics. This is actually one I colored before I took the class, but I still like how it turned out. It uses a Unity/Phyllis Harris stamp, Big Time Special.
I just love this stamp. It makes me smile! I used MME "The Sweetest Thing" papers, and of course, Copic markers.
Last week, I shared a card with a butterfly on it. Well, when I made that butterfly, I made several just like it. Here's a card using another one of the butterflies, made into a sympathy card for a co-worker who lost her sister-in-law.
This card uses Unity Stamp Co's/Donna Downey Bold Butterfly stamp and "With Sympathy". I used Close To My Heart sky card stock for the base and True Blue Stickles for the butterfly trail and on the small stamped butterfly.
I have some blog candy to give away this weekend, in honor of the Joy's Life hop I'm participating in tomorrow. To be eligible to win, please follow my blog and leave a comment on this post. To increase your chances, come back tomorrow and comment on my Joy's Life hop post and/or my Pinque Peacock post. Thanks!
Have a great weekend everyone!
