Take Time for.... For Bugaboo Stamps

Did you know that Monday was "Feed the Birds Day"?  You didn't?  Well, such things are celebrated over on the Catch the Bug Blog! It's Humor Me Wednesday, when all sorts of wacky (and sometimes serious) days are made note of.  My husband and I enjoy feeding birds -- and squirrels, and deer, and rabbits, and sometimes even inadvertently raccoons and bear!  So, in honor of Feed the Birds Day, here's a little inspiration for you, using a Bugaboo Stamps image, of course!

This digi stamp is called Snowman and birds (no surprise there!), and I colored Snowman and Birds with Copic markers. The sentiment is from a Stampendous acrylic set that I have. The snowflakes are dies from Lawn Fawn.

I used this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday to complete the card. Here's the sketch:

Designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are 2 papers from  the Shabby Christmas Collection.

I  hope you visit the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented designer are celebrating today.  It's bound to be entertaining!  Then, do some shopping at Bugaboo Stamps, including picking up yesterday's New Release for 1/2 price!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Take Time to Chase the Snowflakes -- a New Release at All Dressed Up Stamps

It's the 22nd of the month, so we're showcasing new releases at All Dressed Up Stamps today in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.  There are 4 new releases this month, all available in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.  I had the pleasure of playing with the delightful Bear Hat

I colored Bear Hat with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image.

I used papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop to create the card.  There's a piece from Shabby Christmas (the one with stars on it -- the die cut rectangle), there's a piece from Color Me Christmas ( snowflakes on the background piece), a piece from Loving Winter ( the  pink strip that says "warm winter wishes"), and the snowflakes are cut out of a piece from the Frozen Collection

The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Stampendous, and the snowflakes are dies from Lawn Fawn.  Oh, and that stitched rectangle is from The Scrapping Cottage.

I hope you visit the All Dressed Up Facebook Group to see the other New Releases this month and what the other designers made with them (so CUTE!) Then, enter the challenge there!  I'd love to see what you create!

Yappy Birthday -- a New Release at Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday, and that's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps.  But, this isn't just any Tuesday!  Today is my first official day as a Bugaboo Stamps design team member!  I've been guest designing for Bugaboo Stamps the last 2 months, and I've been asked to stay on.  I'm so excited!  I love Bugaboo Stamps, and I love the talented team, so I think this is going to be a great journey!

If you frequent my blog, you know I love dogs, so today's new release is very popular with me.  This is Puppy Pile:

I colored Puppy Pile with Copic markers, trying to make each pup a bit different color.

The sentiment is an acrylic stamp, part of a Stampendous stamp set.  I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

Check out the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other wonderful designers did with this fun Puppy Pile new release. Then, visit the Bugaboo Stamps store, pick it up while it's on sale, grab the Friday Freebie, and do some other shopping while your there!  Color up these wonderful images and enter the Catch the Bug Challenges

It's Friday!  Or, I should say, it's Freebie Friday over at Bugaboo Stamps.  With my love of dogs, today's Freebie is just PERFECT!

This card uses Flower Puppy, colored with Copic markers.  This flower puppy looks a bit like my new pup, always pulling my flowers and ferns out of the beds.  He's a natural pruner!

I cut out the card base on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. The sentiment is from an acrylic stamp set I have from Stampendous.

The Catch The Bug blog has some other great examples of what can be done with this Flower Puppy stamp on it today, so check it out.  Then, pick up the freebie, and enter the Catch the Bug Challenges.  Join the fun!

I colored Happy Puppy with Copic markers, then used a couple of oval stitched dies from Lawn Fawn to cut out the Happy Puppy image and back it.

Greetings, fellow stampers!  I'm on the Scrapbook Stamp Society Blog today.  I love coloring up My Besties images!  They always challenge and push me to be a better colorist.

Now that Labor Day is over, and most schools are back in session, my thoughts are turning to Autumn.

This adorable Leaf Girl digital image by Sherri Baldy, found in the My Besties Shop, was a joy to color up and create with!

I colored Leaf Girl with Copic markers, working hard to create dimension in all those leaves!

This little Leaf Girl is ready to celebrate the season of Fall, isn't she?

There is a sale going on until September 18!

Visit the My Besties Shop!

Papers on this card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are the Pumpkin Delights paper collection.

I Woof You -- Ike's Art Progress Freebie Challenge

Hello, and happy Monday!  I spent the day today trying to recuperate from this nasty upper respiratory infection that I've been fighting for 3 weeks, AND making cards!  The card making was the fun part!  Ike's Art is starting a progressive challenge in her Facebook group.  This month's image is free, and it's a d-o-g, so there was no hesitation for me to play along!  I love ALL THINGS DOG!!!

Here's my card, and thanks so much to Ike for the lovely freebie!

I colored this cute dog with Copic markers, then fussy cut him.  I used the sketch in this week's challenge at Outlawz, modifying it only slightly to fit in my paw print brad.    Designer papers are from the Silhouette Design Store, printed on my printer.  The sentiment is from Stampendous.  The speech bubble die is from Spellbinders. The lovely heart border die is from Close To My Heart.

That's it for this little cutie!  Enjoy the rest of your week!  I'm off to walk my own darling, Gracie.

Happy Halloooween! for QKR Stampede

Hello, and Happy Halloween weekend!  There are lots of fun things happening in my small town this weekend in honor of the approaching holiday, and probably in your city, too.  Enjoy!

Today, at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog, we're starting an optional themed "Happy Halloween" challenge, or you can always enter an "anything goes" project.

Here's my "Happy Halloween" themed entry:

I used QKR Stampede digital stamp, Carved Pumpkin (Q-digi14209) and colored it with Copic markers.  The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from Eureka Stamps (ES-digi3907).

The dies are from Stampendous and the candy corn digital paper is from MHKDesigns.  The card base and sequins are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you join us this week at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog for our optional "Happy Halloween" themed challenge.  I'd love to see what you make, and we have great prizes!

A Marvelous Challenge -- for MHKDesigns

September 1st?!?  Where do these months go?  That means we're starting a new challenge over on the MHKDesigns blog.  As always, the challenges are Anything Goes if you used an MHKDesign image.  There is also an Inspiration Board for you if you choose NOT to use an MHKDesigns image.  It will be pictured below.

I have some pretty mums blooming in my yard, and they were the inspiration for this card, along with the colors from this month's inspiration board:

I used the Mum's the Word Digital stamp set, and colored the flower image from that with Faber-Castell color pencils.  The sentiment is from the Marvelous Digital Stamp set.  The designer papers on this card are from MHKDesigns.  They are:
Pawsitively Purrfect (dark blue)
Stenciled Roses (turquoise paper and pink houdstooth)
Rosy Posy papers (green dot)

MHKDesigns products used on this card:

I hope you join us this month at MHKDesigns Challenges.  Here's the Inspiration Board to help you:

Love is a Warm Puppy -- for QKR Stampede

This is a first for me!  I'm posting a day late for QKR Stampede's challenge.  This week's optional theme is, "Keep Your Eye on the Ball."  You can always enter Anything Goes, if you prefer.

We have a new Golden Retriever puppy in the house, so this card seems perfect:

This card uses 2 QKR Stampede digi stamps -- Happy Puppy (Q-digi17400) and Warm Puppy (Q-digi11301).

I colored Happy Puppy with Copic markers.  I used some new dies I bought from Stampendous to make the card base and layers.  Papers are digital.  They are the Echo Park Bark Collection, purchased from Snap Click Supply.  I printed the Warm Puppy sentiment on one of the digital Bark Collection papers.  The tennis ball was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our "Keep Your Eye on the Ball" challenge.  It runs until Friday, Sept. 1.

I'm Praying for You -- for QKR Stampede

It's Friday again!  These weeks keep on rolling, rolling, rolling!  When it's Friday, it's time for another challenge at QKR Stampede challenge blog. This week's optional theme is "shaped cards (anything but square or rectangle)", but you can always enter Anything Goes.   I love shaped cards!  They are one of my favorite things to make!  Combine them with a flower image -- my favorite thing to color, and I'm a very happy card maker!

This card uses 2 digi stamps from QKR Stampede's sister company, Eureka Stamps, Pansies (ES-digi9304), and I'm Praying for You (ES-digi13107).

I colored Pansies (ES-digi9304) with Copic markers.  The shaped card was created with a set of cutting dies from Stampendous.  They made the construction of this shaped card, including the sentiment (ES-digi13107) very easy.   The yellow background paper was found at Pixel Scrapper.

I hope you join the challenge this week at QKR Stampede.  I'd love to see your shaped card, and we've got great prizes you might win!

A Christmas Thank You -- for Eureka Stamps

It's Monday, the last one of 2014, and time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.  This week, our theme is "Something Old, Something New".  I used some old things from my stash and a new technique.

I used 2 digis from Eureka Stamps -- Candy Cane (digi10702) and a Christmas Thank You (digi12601). The candy cane and ribbon are colored with Copic markers, then cut out with a Spellbinder die (one of the old things for this challenge).
The designer papers are Echo Park Reflections Christmas (used scraps).  The card base is Ruby card stock from Close To My Heart.
The new technique is the Frantage glitter from Stampendous.
Did you get some new scrapping supplies &/or tools for Christmas?  Break them out and join our "Something old, Something new" challenge this week at Eureka Stamps. FUN!

Christmas Joy -- for DigiStamps4Joy

It's Wednesday, Christmas Eve, and time for a new challenge at DigiStamps4Joy.  Today, we start an "Add Glitter" challenge. This will be a 3-week challenge, going until January 13, giving the team a bit of a holiday.
Here's my "add glitter" creation:

I used the DigiStamps4Joy digi stamp, Mr. Snowman on this card.  I colored the image with Copic markers, then used some Frantage by Stampendous around the edges of the snowman and on the diecut deer.  The deer is cut out of chipboard with a Sweet Cuts die.  The "joy" sentiment is a Lawn Fawn die.  There's also a Spellbinders die used to cut out the shape behind the snowman.
I added touches of glitter using some Stickles glitter glue on the snowman's scarf and hat, and the bird's wings. The gold glitter trim is from Close To My Heart. Designer papers are by My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland 6x6.
I hope you join us for our Glitter Challenge.
Merry Christmas!  I hope it's full of magical moments!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

A Pretty Poinsettia -- for Eureka Stamps

It's Monday, and time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.  This week, our theme is "Use glitter".  UGH!  If you know me at all, you know I stay away from the stuff at all costs.  Glitter and I do NOT mix!  This challenge was just that -- a challenge.  However, with some new products I wanted to try out, I managed to make a mess (of course), get glitter everywhere (I always do), AND have fun.  I guess that's what this hobby is all about!

I used the Eureka Stamps digi, Poinsettia (digi16501) and colored it with Copic markers.  Then, the glittering began.  I added several shades of Stickles glitter glue to the Poinsettia itself.  I used gold Frantage by Stampendous around the edges of the diecut, then mounted it on American Crafts glitter paper.  The designer paper is by Echo Park. The "joy" sentiment is a diecut from Lawn Fawn.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. It is from the Ribbon Candy Bundle
The cardstock base is from Close To My Heart.
I had my glitter challenge -- I hope you join us this week at Eureka Stamps and glitter up your own project.  I'd love to see what you make!
