Deck the Halls -- for the MHKDesigns Nov. Challenge

November 1st, and I'm already making plans to "Deck the Halls."  It's also the start of a new challenge at MHKDesigns.   The challenge is Anything Goes, if you use an MHKDesigns image, or these is a mood/picture board if you choose to use something else.  But, with the many awesome MHKDesign images, why not go with the Anything Goes option?

Here's my card for this month's MHKDesign's challenge:

I used an image and sentiment from the Deck the Halls digital stamp set.  The stocking is colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut.  The card base and layers were created with a shape I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The base was duplicated and welded.  Papers on this card, also from MHKDesigns, are the Deck the Halls Digital Papers.  The crinkle ribbon and rhinestones are from my stash.

MHKDesigns products used on this card:

Here's a picture of the November mood/picture board, if you'd like to use it:

The challenge goes until November 30, so you have plenty of time. Please join us at MHKDesigns!

Sending an Old Fashioned Hello -- an MHKDesigns New Release

Here it is.  The last day of New Releases at MHKDesigns.  I hope you've had a chance to check out the other designers and the guest designers, too.  All the sets are available in the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop.  Hasn't it been a fantastic New Release week?  I've had so much fun!!

I love today's set!  It's vintage all the way!  It can also be used on masculine cards, which I think we all tend to struggle with.  It's MHKDesigns The Write Stuff.

I truly had trouble deciding which of the fun images from the set to use, but decided on this one as it was just so elegant!  The sentiment, also from The Write Stuff, fit so well snuggled right up (or is it write up?, LOL) next to the image.  More Kraft paper?  I must be addicted!

The pink strip of paper on this card is MHKDesigns Stenciled Roses digital papers.  The black designer paper I found in my stash and I liked how bold it was.  The glimmer trim and enamel dots are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you have enjoyed this week's new releases as much as I have!  Don't forget to check out the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop and the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook group.

You are Paws-itively the Best! for MHK Designs

It's time for a new challenge at MHK Designs.  The October/November challenge starts today and runs until November 20.  If you use MHK Designs products, our challenges are anything goes.  If not, you can still join us, but here's some photo/color inspiration for you:

Using the colors of this photo, and the circle from the wreath, I created this:

I used the MHK Designs Fur & Paws set and colored it with Copic markers, just doing a bit of shading. The sentiment is part of the Fur & Paws set. There are some great sentiments in this set!!

The designer papers are also from MHK Designs.  They are  Pawsitively Purrfect and Deck the Halls.

I created this rocking card on my Silhouette Cameo with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The paw print brad is from Paper Wishes.

I hope you join in on the MHKDesigns challenge this month.  Shop the MHK Designs Etsy Store for some great vintage images and wonderful papers, create something fantastic, and link up!  I'd love to see what you make, and you can win some more great stuff!

Wishing You a Sunny Day -- for MHK Designs

It's Sunday, and wherever you live, I'm wishing you a sunny day today!  Today, I'm posting for MHK Designs.  I love sunflowers.  I think they speak autumn like no other flower.  When I found this digital stamp set in the MHKDesigns Etsy store, I just knew I had to color it up!

This card was created using the Stitched Sunflower Digital Stamp set, colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is also from the set.
Papers for this card are also from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop.  They're Autumnal Accents Digital Papers.  Beautiful, aren't they?

I created the card base with Spellbinders dies.  A Hot Off the Press die was used for the sentiment.  The ribbon on this card is from 3 Girl JAM.

Have you joined the MHK Challenge yet?  There's still a few days to enter, and you could win some amazing digital sets for yourself, so link up!

Does My Butt Look Big? for Oddball Art Stamps New Release

Woohoo!  It's New Release day at Oddball Art Stamps!  As always, there are some fantastic new releases available today.  Many of them have a Halloween theme to them, but not all.  Some of them, like the one I'm showcasing today, can be used a variety of ways.  today, I introduce image #332, The Jones:

I had a bunch of different sentiments bouncing around in my head as I created this, but eventually settled on this one.  Little Jone's seems worried, somehow.

I colored Image #332, The Jones, with Copic markers.  The frames were cut out with a Lawn Fawn frame die.  The designer papers are from MHK Designs.  The sentiment was computer generated and cut out using a Spellbinders die.

Make sure to check out the Oddball Art blog today to see the other great New Releases.  When it's time to do some shopping, use discount code DTJULIE10 to get 10% off of anything in the Oddball Art Etsy Store!

Join us again tomorrow on the Oddball Challenge blog for a little mid-challenge inspiration.  There's still plenty of time to link up with our 'Going in Circles' theme.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Asha's Birthday Bog Hop! Woot, Woot!!

Hello, and welcome to our SURPRISE Birthday Beach Blog Hop for the lovely Asha!  You should have arrived here from the lovely and talented Judy's blog.  If not, start at the MHKDesigns blog to complete the hop for more chances to WIN!  We are celebrating a very special lady today, and we're doing so by creating beachy birthday cards to wish her many happy returns!

I used the colors in this photo inspiration, and the MHK Eat Your Cake birthday digi set to create this:

I colored the MHK Eat Your Cake digi with Copic markers, then fussy cut.   I added some Wink of Stella glitter pens to the flames. The sentiment, also from the Eat Your Cake set, was cut out with a die from Top Dog Dies.

I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo using a file I found in the Silhouette Design store.  The music dies are from Spellbinders.

Thank you so much for joining in our hop to say "Happy Birthday" to a dear friend!  Your next stop on the hop is the talented Lilian.  Enjoy the hop, and eat some birthday cake along the way!
