A Blessed Gift Bag - Guest Designing for SVG Attic

Today is my last day as guest designer at  SVG Attic.  I have so enjoyed my month, and thank Beth and her wonderful team for this opportunity!

Yesterday, I had lunch with two of my best friends.  I made two of these treat bags, filling them with chocolate - and love.

This gift bag is part of the JGW Sweetest Heart kit.  It is the Heart Window Tall Tote. I cut the bag out exactly as sized, using my Silhouette Cameo.  Papers are from Piggy Tales. The stamp is from Close To My Heart. I found a whole spool of the ribbon in a Ben Franklin store in Northern Minnesota for $1.  Score!

This bag is the perfect size to hold a few chocolates.  I think it's also perfect for any time of year to show affection and friendship.  My two friends loved them and the chocolate didn't last long!

You can find more gift bags, plus lots of other wonderful SVG files in the SVG Attic store.  Have you joined the SVG Attic Fanatics group on Facebook? You'll find lots of inspiration, great conversations, and fun there.

Thanks again to SVG Attic for this great opportunity!  I've enjoyed every minute of it!

Back to School Blog Hop!

Welcome to the SVG Attic-3 Girl JAM Back to School blog hop!  We are so excited to have you join us today!

When I thought about a Back to School project, I was a bit stumped.  I don't have children, so therefore, no grandchildren.  I do, however, have teachers who are friends.  I decided to create something for one of my good friends who is an elementary school teacher.

This cutting file from SVG Attic is part of the Wedding Wishes Kit.  It is the Love Stories Gift Card Box.  3 Girl JAM products used are Jute Ribbon and String Bundle and Goblin Green from the Spooky Bundle.

The image is a digi stamp from Lacy Sunshine, called Molly.  I colored her with Copic markers and used a Spellbinders die to cut her out.  Papers and embellishments are from Close To My Heart.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Now how about some blog hop prizes??

Friends Make Life Colorful!

I'm pleased to be guest designing today for SVG Attic.  I was on the design team for awhile, switched to their sister team, Snapdragon Snippets, but jumped at the chance to guest design for Beth and my SVG Attic sisters.  I love all the wonderful SVG files in the Store!

I used two different collections today -- SDS Home Tweet Home and the Step Card SVG Collection.

The one-story birdhouse is only part of the fun in the SDS Home Tweet Home kit.  There are 2 more adorable houses you can construct, too (plus a blue bird box and a birdhouse card).

Papers for both these projects are from Close To My Heart.  They are retired, but still one of my favorites.  The crinkle ribbon on the birdhouse is from 3 Girl JAM.  It's from one of the new bundles -- charcoal, from the Rustic Country Bundle.

The step card is one of 5 designs that come in the kit. This is the center step card:

Today's card is also part of the Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog. The image is from one of our sponsors -- Polkadoodles.  This is Octavia - Best Friends. I colored Octavia with Copic markers. Her BFF, the owl, was colored with Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment is from Close To My Heart

Our challenges are always anything goes, so please join us!

When I was given the opportunity to guest design for SVG Attic, I was given a gift certificate.  I'd like to pass that gift on to one of you.  To win, please leave a comment on today's post.  Also make sure you are a follower of my blog.  Visit my blog again on August 15th for the joint SVG Attic/3 Girl JAM blog hop, and again when I guest design on August 19.  I'll pick a winner from the comments for the gift certificate. 3D Cornucopia -- for Snapdragon Snippets

Here it is, Wednesday, and the day before Thanksgiving here in the U.S.  I needed a centerpiece for the dinner table, and being crafty, I decided it was best to make it.  After all, why buy fruit when you can make it, right?
The cornucopia and everything in it is from Snapdragon Snippets.  I had such fun with this!

There's 3D apples, a 3D pear, and even a 3D pumpkin, all tucked inside a fancy cornucopia all found in the Silhouette Design StoreYou can also find this in the SVG Attic store here.
All papers for this project are from Close To My Heart.  The cornucopia is made out of Kraft and designer paper from the Path Finding paper pack. I cut everything out on my Silhouette Cameo.
Make sure to check out the new Snapdragon Snippets store for lots of fun projects.  Then, visit the blog for great inspiration from this talented design team.  And, check out the Snapdragon Snippets Facebook page, too, for more inspiration, fun, and contests.
This Thanksgiving, I'm counting my blessings.  And you, are among them!

It's Fall! for Timeless Twine

It's Monday, and I'm posting today for Timeless Twine and Bella Creationz.  This month, I'm featuring a really great twine color -- Autumn Splendor
I love the colors of Fall, so I adorned a gift bag with my favorite Fall leaves, then added some of the beautiful Autumn Splendor Timeless Twine:

The bag is an SVG file from SVG Attic. The fall leaves can be found here in the Silhouette Design Store.
That pretty twine makes the bag, doesn't it? Autumn Splendor
baker's twine is on SALE!
I'll leave you with one more look at the gift bag.

Gotta go -- Fall's nearly over where I live.  I need to get outdoors and enjoy the weather before the snow flies!

Dia de los Muertos SDS Blog Hop

I'm participating today in the Snapdragon Snippets Dia de los Muertos blog hop.  In case you just stumbled on my blog, here's the hop order:
Roberta
Hello, crafty friends, and happy November!  If you live in the U.S, or a country that celebrates Halloween, I hope you survived yesterday's sugar high!  Today is another holiday -- Dia de los Muertos.  This is a first for me, but I had a great time learning about this holiday, and making a project for today's blog hop.  I always love working with Snapdragon Snippets and SVG Attic files!
Any celebration requires gifts, and gifts require gift bags, so that's what I made for today's hop:
Hola amigas creativas! feliz noviembre!

The gift bag is from SVG Attic. It's one of the Basic Gift Bag collection.  When I did some research on Dia de los Muertos, I learned marigolds are significant to the day.  I used the Snapdragon Snippets Layered Flower to portray my marigolds.
Here's a close up of the flowers...

Do they look like marigolds to you?  I inked the edges in black, to keep with the theme of the day.  You can find this file in the Silhouette Design Store.
The image is a digi stamp from Amy Doodle Stamp Co. This image is on sale this week for 50% off!
Que les parece? se asimilan a los Zempasuchitl? les añadi tinta negra en las orillas para mantener el tema del día. Ustedes pueden encontrar este diseño en la tienda de Silhouette.
La imagen digital es de Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

I colored it with Copic markers. I used several sizes of Lifestyle Crafts dies to layer circles of color behind the image.
Some Close To My Heart silver glitter tape and various ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon finish off this treat box.
I'll leave you with one more view of the treat box, before I send you off to the next stop on the hop.
Colore mi imagen con marcadores Copic. Utilice varios suajes de Lifestyle Crafts para crear los círculos que ven detras de la imagen.

This image from Amy Doodle Stamp Co. is being offered for 1/2 price for the 2 days of this blog hop.  Grab it while you can!
Snapdragon Snippets is offering 2 gift certificates to the SDS online store for $15 each.  There are also some stamp sets to be won! There are 3 mini stamp sets shipping anywhere in the world, and 3 shipping to the US. Please follow each hop participant and leave a comment on their blogs.
Now, off you go to the talented Gaby's blog.  Have fun!

Orange, Black, Cats -- it must be Halloween! for Snapdragon Snippets

Hello, and happy hump day!  How did it get to be Wednesday already? I hope you are having a great week! I am posting today for Snapdragon Snippets.  They have soon many great designs!  The hardest part of this assignment was narrowing down what to make. Since I'm on a quest to get at least 50 Halloween cards made for my nursing home residents, I knew I wanted to make some cards.  Here's what I did....
This first card is the SDS Halloween Black Cat Rocker Card (Silhouette Online Store). It is also available as part of the JGW Bewitched Bootique kit at SVG Attic. OR, you can look for this file in the BRAND NEW Snapdragon Snippets Store!
It was very fun to put together, with it's various layers to cut and assemble.  There is a tutorial here that can help also.
I also made two very easy cards -- 5 minute assembly.  You gotta love that!

These cards are the SDS Candy Corn Card, found in the Silhouette Online Store.  They can also be found at SVG Attic as part of the Spooky Cards set.
Here's one more look at a Candy Corn card-- simple, but really cute!

Halloween is almost here.  I better get my craft on!

Happy Fall, Shaker Style, for Snapdragon Snippets

Today is an exciting day for me.  It is my first day posting for my newest design team -- Snapdragon Snippets!  I was on the sister team, SVG Attic last term, but I've been asked to switch my talents and energies to the SDS design team.  So, here we go!
I've been enthralled with Jodie Warner's files for quite some time now.  She recently released some WondErFul new canning jar files, and I want to make many things with them.  When I saw one of the canning jar card files, I immediately thought - "shaker card"!  So, shaker card it is!

I used the Mason Jar Window Gift Card Box file found in the Silhouette Online Store, or the JGW Neighbor Gift Set at the SVG Attic Store.
Papers, feather stamps, and sentiment stamp are from Close To My Heart.  The Fall-colored sequins are from Bella Creationz.
Snapdragon Snippets files have a world of possibilities.  This is going to be a great adventure!

Sunshine and Blue Skies -- for SVG Attic

Hello, and happy Tuesday!  This is my last post for SVG Attic.  My time, this term, is nearly over. I have LOVED being on this team -- watching the company grow, working with the fantastic designs, and experiencing the friendships have been awesome.  I want to thank the owners, designers, design team leader, and design team.  I've loved every minute.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I am sending you all off with 2 wishes from one of the newest kits in the SVG Attic store.  I made two very similar cards from the JGW Above It All kit. Soooo many cute things in this kit!

I used the hot air balloon from the kit, sized it to fit on the front of a card, and cut it three times on my Silhouette.  Then, I scored them and glued them together.  The card will lay flat for mailing.

I used a Joy's Life stamp set for the sentiments, as I thought they were very fitting for the cards, and for the message I wanted to leave with you all today.
Papers are from Close To My Heart.  They retired long ago, but I keep hoarding this cloud paper, using it in little bits. On the second card, I used a We R Memory Keepers Cloud Corner Chomper. The Aqua Blue Timeless Twine finishes off the card.
My wish for all of you today and everyday -- sunshine and blue skies!

An Apple (Box) for the Teacher -- for SVG Attic

Looking for the DigiStamps4Joy blog hop?  Please click HERE!
I recently threw a party for one of my staff.  She is cutting way back on her hours with me, and starting a full-time teaching job.  I made her a few things to show her how much we all cared about her.  One of the gifts was this Apple Box from SVG Attic.

I used the optional cupcake cutout in the bottom and the cupcake fit in perfectly.  It didn't last long, though!
This Apple Box is part of the SDS Gearing Up 4 School kit.
I put a tag on top, and wrote a sweet message on it, telling her the things I was thankful for in the 8 years we've worked together.
I've got one last view to share with you of my apple box.

She plans to keep the box on her desk, filled with her favorite candy. I like that idea!

Fall Pumpkins for SVG Attic

September 1st?  How did that happen?  I'm still waiting for summer! We still haven't hit 90 degrees where I live, and we might not now.  We went from winter to a little warmer and we're heading back into winter.
September 1st starts a new contest at SVG Attic and Snapdragon Snippets.  Any Fall themed item will do -- Autumn, Halloween, even School will work. You have all month, and there are gift certificates to be won!
Here's what I made, with a fall theme --

3D Pumpkin Boxes!
These are part of the JGW "Sam the Scarecrow" kit, found in the SVG Attic store.  The boxes are perfect for home decor or for storing a small gift.
This is the tallest of the boxes:

Here's the smaller one:

These were very fun to make, and they look very Fall-like and festive sitting in my living room. Bring on Fall!

Christmas Wishes -- for SVG Attic

Happy Tuesday! There's a chill in the air at night here in Northern Wisconsin, reminding all of us that Fall is just around the corner, and Christmas is not that far away.  I've been trying to make several Christmas cards each month throughout the year.  With the help of the delightful SVG Attic JGW Sweet Wishes Card Kit, I've managed to get more than several made this month (pat on the back).  Today, I'm showing you 2 cards, but it's one variation of the same theme.  I used the Vintage Sleigh card to make these:

Both cards are pretty similar, with the only exception being I used designer paper (Echo Park Dots & Stripes) on the sleigh on the top card.  I love how lacy and wintery the sleigh looks!  I used double sided cardstock from Echo Park.  It's actually the same piece of cardstock, just reversed for a different look on each card.  The sentiment is a Unity Stamp Company stamp.  All other cardstock is from Close To My Heart.  The bling is from my stash.
This JGW Sweet Wishes Card Kit is a wonderful kit -- check it out for yourself!

Designer paper is from Echo Park.  Cardstock is from Close To My Heart and American Crafts.

Christmas in August -- for SVG Attic

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I'm trying to get a jump start on my Christmas cards, making one or 2 a month so the task isn't so overwhelming when the holiday season arrives.  SVG Attic recently released a new Christmas card kit, and it was just the inspiration I needed to make a Christmas card:

This card is part of the JGW Sweet Wishes Card Kit.  It is larger than most cards I make, measuring 5x7 -- plenty of space to catch up with family and friends.
Here's another angle:

I used some retired Christmas papers from Close To My Heart on this card, and the bling is from my stash.
Visit the SVG Attic blog for tons of great inspiration and ideas using the wonderful SVG Attic kits.

So Sweet Berries -- for SVG Attic

Hello, and happy Tuesday!  We've had a cool, wet summer here in NW Wisconsin, so strawberry season is going longer than usual this year.  I love berry season!  That was the inspiration behind today's project for SVG Attic.

This shaped card from SVG Attic is called the "Sweet Sentiment Card SVG Collection".
Cards like this are so fun because you can get many different looks depending on the papers you use.  The designer papers on this card are all Echo Park Dots and Stripes.
I hope you enjoyed this berry sweet card -- gotta go pick berries!
