I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog --always a pleasure for me!
Do You collect washi tape? I keep buying it, and then never seem to get around to using it. I decided it was time to put some to good use on this card:
I created the background with strips of washi tape. It was very easy to do. Once I got that made, I found a sentiment I wanted to use. Of course, any sentiment would work, but with Valentine's Day just past, I thought this one is appropriate, This particular set of sentiment dies is from Spellbinders. I found the smallest heart die I had in my collection. The ones in the heart die set from Impression Obsession would work great for this!
I used a liquid glue to adhere the sentiment to the washi tape.
Here's one I made in another color:
Check out the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog for tons of great ideas! And, you'll want to shop the Dies R Us Store.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

After the Rain -- for Imagine That! Digistamp
April 15? Already? Do I say this every month, LOL? Today, it's time for some mid-month inspiration over at the Imagine That! Digistamp Creative Playground. The current challenge goes until May 5, so there's lots of time. If you use an Imagine That! Digistamp image, you can win the Rainy Day Fun set (I used one of the images and one of the sentiments on this card) for FREE!
Here's my inspiration!
I used one of the black & white images from the Rainy Day Fun set (the 2 birds), and one of the pre-printed images from the set (the puddle), along with a sentiment, to create the focal point of this card. The birds are colored with Copic markers. The sun-shaped card in an SVG cutting file from The Cutting Cafe. I used some thin washi tape on the rays of the sun so give it a bit of extra sparkle and shine. The cloud die is from American Crafts, with some pen work added to match the puddle.
I love this sentiment from the Rainy Day Fun set. It keeps me going on some of my "low" days. I had a bone marrow biopsy (major ouch!) on Thursday, and now I'm waiting for the results. The test was needed to prove that I am for sure in remission -- that there is no longer cancer in my bone marrow and spinal fluid. Prayers are appreciated! I should know the results some time this upcoming week.
If you celebrate Easter, have a blessed day. For me, this one will be particularly special, a day of re-birth and truly starting over. I'm excited! He has given me new life!
I hope you join the Imagine That! Digistamp's challenge this month at the Creative Playground. I'd love for you to have a chance to win this set. I'd also love to see what you make! Check out the wonderful Facebook group too, for even more inspiration, news, and fun!

Seriously? A Big Day for Oddball Art and Whimsy Stamps
It's a big day! Oddball Art Company has a few new releases at Whimsy Stamps today. I got the privilege to be able to work with one of the very fun new stamps! This is part of the Lizzy Love Collection.
This is Alex and her Happy Tacky Christmas Sweater, found at Whimsy Stamps. I colored Alex with Copic markers. I'm not so sure she likes that tacky Christmas sweater she's wearing, but she sure does look cute!
The base of the card was created with various washi tapes. I used a Craftin' Desert Diva's die, cut several times, to back the Alex rubber stamp with. There's some UmWow Studio chipboard, decorated with Stickles, on this card, too.
Check out the rest of the new Lizzy Love Collection New Releases at Whimsy Stamps here. Then, check out the other creations by the design team on the Oddball Art Company Blog. And, of course, there's tons of fun and wonderful projects to be found at the Oddball Art Stamps Facebook Group.

It's a Dog's Life -- for QKR Stampede
Today is my final project for QKR Stampede Challenge blog. I've been on the team for a year now, and it's time for a break. However, I will miss the delightfully quirky images and the wonderful bunch of ladies I've grown to enjoy so much! This week's challenge this is 'Washi tape'. Love the stuff!
This super fun image, from QKR Stampede, of course, is "Walking the Dog"(digi17102). The sentiment, also from QKR Stampede, is "Dog's Life"(digi14619). I colored 'Walking the Dog' with Copic markers. I've had the Washi tape for so long, I don't remember the brand name. The Dog designer paper is digital, and is from Pixel Scrapper.
Come join us this week at QKR Stampede. Use a bit of your Washi tape, and enter it in the challenge!

Swimming by to say Hi -- for QKR Stampede
It's Friday, and time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede. Our theme this week is "for a child". Since it's summer, I went with a water -- swimming -- theme on this card:
I used QKR Stampede digi, Floating Gator (digi5602) on this card. I colored Floating Gator with Copic markers. The background was created using washi tape. The sentiment is computer generated. A simple card, perfect for a child, or a child at heart!
Please join us this week at QKR Stampede for our "For a Child" Challenge.

Up, Up, and Away.....for QKR Stampede
It's Friday, and time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede. Our theme this week is "balloons". QKR Stampede's sister company, Eureka Stamps, has some incredible balloon stamps, so I use a couple of theirs.
I used Eureka Stamps digis, Boy Balloon holder (digi5002) and Spring Balloon (digi3504). I colored both images with Copic markers. I used a Spellbinders die behind the Boy Balloon holder, and fussy cut the Spring balloon, drawing in the string to connect them. The background is created with washi tape.
Join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Balloon challenge. It's a great way to catch up on those party-themed projects.

This week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is Masculine or Grungy. Since the grungy theme is a tough one for me, I went with masculine. And since I've needed a bunch of Graduation cards recently, that was the theme I chose to create this:
I used Eureka Stamps digi 18901 (522) on this card. In Microsoft Word, I merged it to get the repeating pattern, printed it and colored it with Copic markers. I used an old piece of designer paper that looked dignified and fitting for a graduate to me. Then, I added some Washi tape for a playful, masculine effect. The sentiment is a sticker.
Make sure you check out what the rest of the talented design team has made, and link up your masculine projects this week at Eureka Stamps Challenge blog. With Father's Day just around the corner, this should be an easy one!
