Happy New Year! for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, where I get to wrap up a great year of crafting, and wish everyone a happy new year!

What better way to toast in the New Year than with a little bubbly?

That darling focal point is from Tutti Designs.  It's Champagne Flutes. I thought it was perfect for New Year's Eve, but it's actually good for any festive occasion -- birthdays, weddings, anniversaries.  It has many uses.

Here is a picture of all the supplies I used on this card:

The star border on the side of the card is from Technique Tuesday, but this one from Frantic Stamper would work equally as well. The larger stars were cut out from dies by Spellbinders.

Supplies used on this card found in the Dies R Us Store:

The papers and sentiment are from Kaisercraft.

I wish you a happy and safe new year, and here's one more view of my card:

I hope you check this blog every day for wonderful inspiration!  The design team is so creative, you don't want to miss anything.  Then, join in the challenges at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  Here's one last link to the Dies R Us Store for you, too!

A New Year Toast -- for Scrapy Land Challenges

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so there is a new challenge starting today at Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  Challenges are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Scrapy Land Store.  There is a wide selection of dies sold there, so this is easy to do!

I am just about done making Christmas cards, and I've started making a few New Year's cards to send to friends and family.  Here's one of them, using a Tutti Design die:

This card uses Tutti Designs die, Champagne Flutes.  I cut it with gold foil paper, and I think it looks so festive!  I'm using this image for New Year's, but I think it could be used for any celebration -- birthday, wedding, anniversary.  I look at those Champagne Flutes, and my mind says, "clink, clink".

All the other elements on this card are from Kaisercraft -- the paper. the banner, and the sentiment, are all part of the Kaisercraft Starry Night release.  It made for a quick card.

The Scrapy Land Challenge will run for the next two weeks, and I do hope you can join us.  One lucky winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Scrapy Land Store!

Oh, Deer! for DigiStamps4Joy

DigiStamps4Joy is proudly sponsoring Through the Craft Room Door this week. Some of the DigiStamps4Joy team members are providing some inspiration for the challenge and a blog hop.  Here's an extra card I made for this fun celebration!

I used DigiStamps4Joy image, Under the Mistletoe, and colored it with Copic markers.  I cut it out with a Die-versions die.  Designer papers are from Kaisercraft.  The card stock and Shimmer trim are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join the celebration, blog hop, AND challenge going on this week at Through the Craft Room Door.  It's sure to be a LOT of fun!

Oh, Baby, Thinking of You! for Crafty Sentiments

Looking for the Colors of Summer Blog Hop?  Please click HERE
It's New Release Day at Crafty Sentiments Designs, and I was given 2 images to work with.  What's fun about the new releases is you never know what images you'll get.  You just know they'll be cute and fun!  Today's new releases are no exception.
This first card features Isobel:
This rubber stamp is called Isobel Expecting.  She looks so happy, doesn't she?  She's shopping for baby, and glowing inside.  I colored Isobel Expecting with Copic markers. I computer generated the sentiment.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the center step card.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye.   The tie dye ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM, and the wood velour heart is from my stash.
New Release #2 from Crafty Sentiments Designs features Josh:
This is Josh - Floral Collection, and he is also a rubber stamp.  Once again I colored him with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out.  The card base was cut out on my Cricut using a Close To My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge. The designer paper is from Kaisercraft.  The flowers are from Prima Marketing.  The bird is from my stash.
There is another rubber stamp being released today (3 altogether).  To see it, and the other creations from this talented design team, please visit the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog

Congratulations, you've made it to the last stop of the hop. You should have arrived here from Raechelle's blog.  If you got here by accident, or just stopped by to visit my blog, you may want to start HERE at the beginning of the Colors of Summer Blog Hop.  By now, you've seen lots of fantastic projects featuring all 5 bundles of wonderful new ribbon colors.  Aren't they all amazing?
Here's what I created for the hop:
I made this treat bags for a get-together with some friends.  I filled them with several kinds of their favorite chocolates (what else?)
I used double sided papers, and got 2 of them out of each sheet, so this is the front and back of 2 sheets of 12x12 papers from Kaisercraft.  The bags, made on my Silhouette, are 2 different cutting files found in the Silhouette Design Store here and here.
This treat bag (below), uses the Saturday Morning Ribbon Bundle.
This treat bag (below), uses the Sunny Meadows Bundle.
This bag uses the Rustic Country Bundle
This bag uses the Summer Harvest Bundle
Once more, altogether now!
Did we mention there would be prizes along the route?  I love 3 Girl JAM ribbon, and I love designing for Julie, the owner of 3 Girl JAM.  I want to pass some of the goodness on to you.  So, pick out your favorite ribbon of the 5 new bundles and leave it in your comments.  Follow my blog if you don't already.  Leave me a way to contact you, too, and I'll pick a winner next week.  I will send you the bundle of your choice from the 3 Girl JAM Store.  Woohoo!  That's a great prize, if I do say so myself!
There's also a sale at the 3 Girl JAM Store.  Use discount code NEWHOP from 5/23 to 5/25 for 30% off of your order.  I'm going shopping!

It's a Dog Pile -- for Eureka Stamps

It's Monday, and time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.  This week, our theme is "non-traditional Christmas colors". Being a dog person, I found the perfect digi stamp in the Eureka store to use on today's card.

I used 2 digis from the Eureka Store -- the image is Dog Pile (digi17703).  The sentiment is Christmas Love (digi22605).  I colored the image with Copic markers.
The non-traditional Christmas papers I used are from Kaiser Craft - the Christmas Carnival 6x6 Collection.  The card stock base is Pixie Close To My Heart paper.  The glitter bling is also from CTMH.
Join us this week at Eureka Stamps for our Non-traditional Christmas Colors challenge.  It's a fun one!

Have I got a Black Friday deal for You, my Friends With Flair Peeps!

Here we are, officially launched into the Christmas shopping season.  I hope my American friends had a blessed and relaxed Thanksgiving. You will find my no where NEAR a store today.  No way, no how.  I will not get in that mess.  I don't like crowds.  I'll hide in my craft room, thank you very much!
My husband's family has the tradition of exchanging a small Christmas decoration for the tree or home at Thanksgiving each year.  I try to make mine homemade.  I've done a variety of things through the years -- cross stitch, Hardanger, basket weaving. This is what I made for my sister-in-law this year:

I used a Unity Stamp of the Week (Holiday Joy Christmas Tree) and colored it with Copic Markers. I mounted it to a coaster that I covered with a piece of DP from Kaisercraft. The 1.5 inch striped grosgrain ribbon and the coaster are from the Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions Store.
If you visited my blog last week, I offered a giveaway if I made it to 300 followers.  Well, I got VERY, very close, but didn't quite get there.  It's bothered me all week that I didn't just have a giveaway anyway.  So this weekend, I'm having a giveaway, no matter what.  I will draw a name earl next week and announce the winner of the grab bag.  If I do happen to get to 300 followers, I'll add LOTS of goodies -- papers, 3 Girl JAM ribbon, Close To My Heart stamps, embellishments -- lots of fun stuff that I've been buying and saving for my 300 follower giveaway.  To be eligible, please follow my blog, leave a way to contact you, and comment on this post.
There's lots of inspiration on all The Unity Friends With Flair blogs.  I'm off to spend time being inspired.  Have a great weekend, everyone! Shop on!

Wishing You Sunshine -- and a prize winner

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend.  It was cool, cloudy, and off and on rainy here.  I worked yesterday, so the holiday was short, but it was still enjoyable.

I have a tutorial today on All That Stickles, showing how to make your own glitter domes.  To showcase the technique, I made this card:

She seemed like the perfect image for a cool, rainy weekend! I used Kaisercraft Fine & Sunny 6 1/2 inch papers, Sparkle Creations Rainy Day Ruby stamp, Copic Markers, Cryogen paper, Spellbinders dies, Turquoise Stickles (so I can enter this in the current All That Stickles Linky party), and a free sample of ribbon from Ellen Hutson.  The "wishing your sunshine" sentiment is from Joy's Life Pun in the Sun stamp set -- lots of great sentiments on this one!!

I promised you a prize winner.  If you commented on my blog during the Joy's Life Super and Everyday Hero hop this weekend and follow my blog, you are eligible.  I used random.org to pick the winner.  Comment #4 was chosen:  Crafty_ma_am.  Congratulations, Crafty_ma_am!  Please let me know where to send your goodies.  You can leave an email address with a comment here and I'll be in touch.

I also want to let my followers know about some challenges that I am a part in.  I know some of you love challenges and I'm helping with some new, fun ones.  There's the All That Stickles linky party that I mentioned earlier in this post.  The current Stickles color is Turquoise.  If you can spell it, you can use it, LOL! Do you like digital stamps? Get Inky! Stamps Challenge blog has a new challenge every two weeks.  The current theme is glitter.  Embrace it, enter, and you might win digis of your choice.  Do you have a Silhouette?  There's a new challenge blog on the block.  Take a look at Silhouette Challenges.  The current challenge is "Anything Goes", but you have to be quick, because it ends May 31.  A new challenge starts June 1.  And, speaking of June 1, a brand new challenge blog launches on June 1! The Craft Lovin' Challenge Blog! We're going to work hard to make it one of the best challenge blogs out there. This new blog is sponsored by Tabitha's Designs ( you will find her new shop here -- digi papers and BRAND NEW digi stamps -- really fun stuff that can be won in the challenges!) and My Crafting Channel.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
