Owl say Hello -- for Julia Spiri

I have a bit of mid-month inspiration today for the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   Our challenges go for a month.  The themes are Anything Goes with a twist.  If you choose to participate in this month's twist, it's 'Vintage'.

For today's card, I used the image 'Griselda with Owl' and colored her with Copic markers:

I fussy cut Griselda with Owl after coloring her.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  Papers for this card are by Echo Park and Close To My Heart (card stock).  The peacock colored crinkle ribbon is from D.L. Art's Etsy Store.  The foil 'Hello' was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

I hope you join the Julia Spiri Anything Goes with optional Vintage Challenge this month.  You have plenty of time.  I'd love to see what you make, and we have great prizes!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

You Are Fabulous -- for Julia Spiri Challenge Blog

It's Tuesday, and we're starting a new challenge today on the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   The theme this month is "Vintage".

Julia Spiri has MANY great images in her Etsy Shop that will work wonderfully for this challenge.   I used Marie Antoinette to create this:

I colored Marie Antoinette with Copic markers, then used several dies from Craftin' Desert Divas to cut out and back the image.

The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Company, cut out with a die from Paper Wishes.  Crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

I hope you can join in on this month's vintage challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   You can win some of Julia's wonderful digis, and I'd love to see what you make!

Oh Happy Day! for Julia Spiri

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 'In the Garden' (add a flower, tree, etc).  I love flowers, so this was a great challenge for me!

I used Pink & White Roses clip art from Julia Spiri to create this card.  It is a wedding card for some very special friends.

I printed the rose on white paper, then used 2 sizes of Spellbinders dies to cut it out and back it.

The card base is a cutting die by Sizzix.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye.  Some Timeless Twine wraps it up.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our Garden challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   Then, check out the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group.

On Your Special Day -- for Julia Spiri Challenge Blog

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It's time for a new challenge on the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  For the next 2 weeks, our theme is 'wedding.'

I used the Peonies and Ranunculus, Watercolor Clip Art, to create this:

I layered several of the flowers and vines together to get this effect, and added the sentiment using a font on my computer.  After that, it was a matter of finding some elegant paper that looked like 'wedding', an elegant die cut, some glitter trim, and the card was complete!

This is definitely the season of weddings and wedding showers.  I have several coming up in the next few weeks and this card is going to come in handy!

I hope you can join us at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog for our 'wedding' challenge.  We've got great prizes, and I'd love to see what you make!  Join the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group, too, for more inspiration, fun, and occasional freebies!

Happy Birthday -- for Julia Spiri

It's time for a new challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.  As always, our challenges are Anything Goes with an optional twist.  This time, the twist is  -- For a Child.  I took advantage of the twist to make an always needed birthday card.

I used 'The Bunny and Cake' on this card, colored with Copic markers.

After I got done coloring 'The Bunny & Cake', I constructed the card using papers from Photo Play - Birthday Boy Collection.  The dies used to cut out the image are from Lawn Fawn.  The Kraft paper is by Carta Bella.  The card stock, sentiment, and shimmer trim are by Close To My Heart.  The enamel dots are from my stash.

I hope you can join in the next 2 weeks at Julia Spiri Challenge blog, where challenges are always Anything Goes.  This time, the optional twist is - For a Child.  You have a chance to win some great Julia Spiri images of your own, and I'd love to see what you make! Join the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group, too, for more fun, inspiration, and news.

Enjoy the Moment -- for Julia Spiri Challenge Blog

It's time for a new challenge at Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   Our challenges are always Anything Goes with a twist.  This times twist is -- 'Film, Book, or Song'.

I used the Julia Spiri image, The Victorian Hat, and used it to create this:

I read Emma, by Jane Austen, many years ago, but The Victorian Hat reminds me of the book.  I loved reading Jane Austen books!

I colored The Victorian Hat with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from an old stamp set from a company that has gone out of business, but seemed to fit the image and the challenge theme.  Papers are all digital, from my scrap pile.  Dies are from Craftin' Desert Divas. Bling is from my stash.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes with a twist -- book, film, song challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  I'd love to see what you make!  Check out the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group, too, for even more inspiration and news.

Paris - With Love -- for Julia Spiri

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.  Our theme is always anything goes with an optional twist.  This time, the twist is 'Paris'.  Julia recently released some incredible Paris themed digis you can find in the Etsy Shop.

I've always wanted to go to Paris.  It's on my bucket list.  While making this card, I was there in my dreams, walking my dog...

I used Promenade in Paris on this card.  I liked that it was an entire scene, or I could have used portions of the digi, if I had chosen to.  I colored Promenade in Paris with Copic markers.  I used papers from Echo Park.  The Eiffel Tower paper is a digi paper I found at Pixel Scrapper.  Dies are from Die-namics and Spellbinders.  Crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

I hope you join us for our Anything Goes with an optional Paris-themed challenge at Julia Spiri's challenge blog.  It will run for the next 2 weeks.  Check out the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook Group, too -- there's lots of inspiration there!

From My Heart -- for Julia Spiri

It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge on the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.   The challenges are always ATG with an optional theme.  This fortnight's optional theme is "Love is in the Air".  There are lots of great Julia Spiri images to use for this theme -- especially with the new release!

Here's what I did for the challenge, using 'Girl with Pigtails'...

I colored Girl with Pigtails with Copic markers, then fussy cut her out.  The card base was created with various dies from Top Dog dies.  I used my Anna Griffin Minc machine to create the glittered "From my Heart" sentiment circle.

I hope you can enter our Anything Goes with optional From the Heart challenge this next 2 weeks at Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   We've got great prizes to win, and I'd love to see what you create!

Have you tried Pocket Letters yet?  That's the theme of the challenge for the next two weeks at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog

I had to do a little research (on Pinterest, of course ), before I started my Pocket Letter. Here's my first attempt at one!

I use the Julia Spiri image, Teddy & Gift on this project.

Here's a close up of the Teddy & Gift -- colored with Copic markers.

The project life cards on this page are from Studio Calico.  Bling is from my stash.

A Dollhouse for Julia Spiri

It's time for a new challenge on the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  This one will run for a month, and we are veering far away from Christmas.    Our theme this month is "Dollhouse".  This can be interpreted in a variety of ways, as you can see from visiting the Julia Spiri Challenge blog and seeing what other DT members did.

Here is my interpretation:

I used Julia Spiri's The Birds and Hair on this house-shaped card.  I colored her with Copic markers, then fussy cut her out.  The house shaped card is an SVG file from My Scrap Chick.  I used the Country Village Small House Box, but chose to make it into a card instead.  Papers are from Echo Park.

I hope you join us this next month at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog for our Doll House challenge.  I'd LOVE to see what you make!

Warm Winter Wishes -- for Not Just Cards

It's the first Monday of the month, so that means it's time for a new challenge at Not Just Cards challenge blog.   The challenge runs all month, and it's always anything goes.

This month, one of our sponsors is Julia Spiri. I love anything she creates, so the tough part was deciding which image to color.  Here's what I decided on:

This is Snow Fairy.  I colored her with Copic markers.

I created the card using Spellbinders dies. The designer papers are digi papers from Pixel Scrapper.  The lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  The sentiment is from Whimsical Designs.

I hope you join our Anything Goes challenge this month at Not Just Cards.  We'd love to have you link up.  There's great prizes to win, and I'd love to see what you make!

A Bit of Altered Art -- for Julia Spiri

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.  Today, we start challenge #7, alter something.  I chose to alter a Kraft container, and used a delightful (aren't they all?) Julia Spiri image to do it.

I used "Girl with Hair Wrap" and colored her with Copic markers.  I used a Spellbinder die, cutting it out 3 times, to back the image with.  The Kraft container is covered with some Close To My Heart papers, matching the colors in my image.  The white lace, from Really Reasonable Ribbon, was inked on the edges with some Tim Holtz distress ink.

I plan to use this container for a birthday gift.  I'm thinking it will be perfect to hold some hair accessories.

I hope you find time to join us at the Julia Spiri challenge blog for our altered item challenge.  It will run for 2 weeks.

You're Awesome - for Julia Spiri Challenges

It's Thursday, and already time for another challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  These weeks fly by!  The new challenge theme, starting today, is an easy one -- add a sentiment.  See?  Easy peasy!

This card was created using the totally awesome Julia Spiri image, Forest Hairdressing. I colored the digi stamp with Copic markers.  The card was created using a Spellbinders die in several sizes.  The sentiment is a stamp by Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  The stick pin is from Prima Marketing.

There are so many details in this Forest Hairdressing digi that I find irresistible.  I love the concept of this cute gal sitting under that flower to dry her hair, the squirrel perched with the mirror, and the butterfly with the nail polish. It's all too cute!

Come join us at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  You have 2 weeks to enter the "add a sentiment" challenge.  You can do it!

I'm posting today for my favorite ribbon company, 3 Girl JAM.  Since this is the month of Thanksgiving, and I have much to be thankful for, including you stopping by my blog today, I made this card...

This adorable Autumn Elf is by Julia Spiri. I colored him with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils, then used a couple Spellbinders dies to back him with.   The designer papers are from Close To My Heart.  The beautiful Jute Ribbon, that adds texture and so much fall feeling to this card, can be found at the 3 Girl JAM Store

This is Julia Spiri's digi, 'Picking Mushrooms'.    She's colored with Copic markers, then cut out with a couple sizes of a Spellbinders die (old).  The designer papers on this card, Acorn Hollow, from Little Yellow Bicycle, are at least a year old.  I used ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon -- purchased last fall, and finished it off with a We R Memory Keepers scalloped corner chomper (a few years old).

Have you discovered Stamps by Julia Spiri yet? They are the cutest ever!  You really owe it to yourself to check them out.  We're on to our third challenge already. Time flies when you're having coloring fun!

Our theme for the Julia Spiri Challenge starting today is -- add some bling.

This image is 'French Lady' and she is tres chic!  She looked like a princess to me with that big feather in her hat and fan in her hand.  I blinged the card up not with sparkly things, but with peacock feathers, fit for a princess.

French Lady was colored with Copic markers.  All the dies used on this card are from Spellbinders.  Papers and sentiment journal card are by Graphic 45.

I hope you join us this week at Julia Spiri Challenge blog for our 'Bling it Up' challenge.  You'll have an opportunity to win some cute images for yourself!

This is Girl on a Swing, and she's colored with Copic markers.  I used 2 sizes of a Spellbinders label die to cut her out and back it.

Backing paper and the sentiment are from Pink Paislee - Prairie Hill Collection.  Paper behind the image is from We R Memory Keepers.  I also used their scalloped corner chopper. The card base is Bazzill card stock.  There's Webster's Pages lace trim, and 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon on here.  Although it's hard to see in the picture, I also used a Spica glitter clear pen on the sun and the clip in her hair.

Ballerina Hugs -- for 3 Girl JAM

Welcome, crafty friends!  I'm posting today for 3 Girl JAM, my favorite ribbon company in all the world!   I recently discovered a new digital stamp artist, and I thought her art and the tie dye ribbons would work well together, so I got busy...

The new digi stamp artist I discovered is Julia Spiri.  Her Etsy shop is here.  Her soon-to-launch challenge blog is here.  I heard about her design team call for her challenge blog and said, "Why not?"

Hurray!  I made the team!

But wait!  This is a post for 3 Girl JAM!  Back to my card....

I used the digi stamp, Little Ballerina, and colored her with Copic markers.  I used cutting dies by Die-namics and Paper Wishes.

The tie dye ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  This is Tie Dye Green from the original Tie Dye Bundle.  I enjoy pleating it the length of a card, using double sided tape.

There's a special this month at 3 Girl JAM.  You can grab the Caribbean Splash Bundle for only $1 with purchase of any other item using code August.  Or, for 10% off of your entire order, use discount code JO10.

Don't forget about the 3 Girl JAM Anything Goes with Ribbon challenge, going on all month.  You can find it here.

Join us Saturday, August 15 for a joint blog hop with SVG Attic.  There'll be prizes, fun, and lots of great inspiration!
