Ladybug Daisy -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Sunday, and Stella is telling us it's time for another sketch Challenge over on the Catch the Bug Blog.  Yes, it's Stella Says Sketch time!  This challenge will run for the next 2 weeks.

I'll show you my card first, then the sketch.

This card uses the Bugaboo Stamps digital image, Ladybug Daisy.  I colored Ladybug Daisy with Copic markers.

Here's the sketch for the current Stella Says Sketch challenge over on Catch the Bug:

As you can see, I followed that sketch almost exactly.  I even put the image in the same place, because I thought I would like all that white space.  Then, of course, I had to try to fill it, so I added some sequins.

The papers are from Crafter's Companion, and the sentiment is from a stamp set I've had for a long, long time. It's from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you can join us over at Catch the Bug Challenges for our Stella Says Sketch Challenge. I'd love to see your take on the sketch, and Bugaboo Stamps has such generous prizes!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Bee-utiful -- for Catch the Bug Challenges

It's Saturday -- the first Saturday of the month, and that means it's time for an Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug!  Bugaboo images are not required, but we'd love to see them!

For this Anything Goes Catch the Bug Challenge, I used the Bugaboo Stamps digi, Bugaboo Bee 3 to create this:

I colored Bugaboo Bee 3 with Copic markers.  Papers on this card are from Honey Bee Stamps.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  The stitched circle dies are from Lawn Fawn.  The bee die was a freebie from a magazine subscription long ago, and I'm finally remembering to use it!  The cloud die is an oldie, from American Crafts.  I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday to help me construct the card.

An Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug!  What could be better?  Come join the fun!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Things Will Bee Okay -- for All Dressed Up Stamps - & a birthday winner!

It's August 1st, and today starts a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group. You'll find an album there with this month's theme - Fantasy &/or Wings.

I think this Busy Little Bee is the sweetest image, and perfect for the Fantasy &/or Wings theme.  What do you think?

I colored Busy Little Bee with Copic markers.  She has wings, so fits the theme.  You'll find many adorable images in the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop that work for the theme.  Take a look here!

I embellished Busy Little Bee with papers from Honey Bee Stamps.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, and so is the honeycomb die cut.  The bee die is one I've had for a long time and have finally remembered to use.

I hope you join us this month for our Fantasy &/or Wings challenge found in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group

If you're a regular follower of my blog, you know I celebrated my birthday early in July, and had some blog candy I gave away for the month of July.  Today is the day I'm picking my winner.  I used Random.org to pick the winner.  Thirty three people left comments on my post, and #7 was chosen.  Joy Wilson, that is YOU!!!!  Congrats, faithful reader, Joy!   I will be emailing you shortly on how to send you your prize.

Bee Okay Bear -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday, and that's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps.  Every Tuesday, there's a new release, and it's always 50% off for the week, so it's a good time to grab it!

Today's new release is Butterfly Bear Ice Cream.  I recently got a bee stamp set with a bunch of bee sentiments on it (from Simon Says Stamp) so I decided to make my Butterfly Bear into a Bee Bear.  Here's the bee themed Butterfly Bear Ice Cream card using today's New Release:

He looked a little sad, like perhaps his ice cream is melting too fast, so I thought the sentiment fit well.

I colored Butterfly Bear - Ice Cream with Copic markers, then fussy cut him.  I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday to construct the card. Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The aqua paper on the top of the card is from the Honeycomb paper collection.  The other 2 papers are from the Bumble Bee Collection

The sentiment and the octagon shaped die cut are from Simon Says Stamp.  The bee die is from Anna Griffin.  The glimmer trim and solid card stock are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you visit the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented Bugaboo designers did with today's new release.  Check back each day for tons of great inspiration! There's also the Bugaboo Stamps Fan Club on Facebook to check out!

Hey Bird Friend! for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

I'm posting today for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  Patricia draws the cutest, most whimsical art, and I love to color it up and create cards with it.  She has animals, fairies, dragons, monsters, snowmen, all kinds of adorable characters.  It's definitely worth a trip to the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store to see it all.

Today, I'm showcasing a digi image called Magpie Thief.  Magpies are black and white -- a very striking bird -- but since I'm in spring mode, and I'm waiting anxiously to see the first bluebird where I live, I colored my Magpie Thief to look more like a bluebird:

He looks like a thief, with his mask on and his bag to hold all his treasures, doesn't he?

I colored Magpie Thief with Copic markers, then used a frame die from Craftin' Desert Divas to frame him with.  I found a challenge at The Outlawz for using damask, so I used this fleur de lis, or damask paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles as a background paper.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, and is an acrylic stamp.

You can find my Kinda Cute inspiration in the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group and on Instagram.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

You're Some Bunny Special -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's the 15th of the month, and that's Oldie but Goodie day on the Sasayaki Glitter Blog.  This month, bunnies are being featured.  Cute, cute, cute!

I used Bunny Be Mine, and colored the digital stamp with Copic markers.  The sentiment is part of an acrylic stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. The butterflies were cut out with dies by Cheery Lynn.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The background daisy paper is part of the Miss Daisy paper collection.  The blue butterflies are a new April release.  It is one of the Spring Butterflies Too papers.

I used the current sketch at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  Here's the sketch:
I hope you have time to check out all the cute bunny projects over at the Sasayaki Glitter blog.  Then, do some shopping at the Sasayaki Glitter Etsy Shop!

Happy Ewe-ster -- Stella Says Sketch

Happy Sunday to you, and Palm Sunday, if you are religious.  I am spending this morning at church on the organ bench, while the kids process and wave those palm branches.  Meanwhile, in the crafting world, Stella Says Sketch over on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  I don't know about you, but I find Stella a bit intimidating.  If Stella says sketch, I sketch!

First the card, then I'll share the sketch:

This card uses Bugaboo Stamps digital image, Easter Ewe.  I colored Easter Ewe with Copic markers.

Here's the Stella Says Sketch for the next 2 weeks (April 14-27):

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are rom the April New Release.  The background paper is one of the Color Burst papers.  No need to create the color burst effect, just print it!  Amazingly easy!  The circles are from the Spring Butterflies collection & Spring Butterflies Too.

The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp acrylic stamp set.  candy dots are from my stash.

I hope you can join us at Catch the Bug Challenges the next 2 weeks for Stella Says Sketch!  There are great prizes to win, and it was a fun sketch to use.  I'd love to see what you create!

Hoppy Easter -- Stella Says Sketch

It's Sunday, and Stella and laid down the gauntlet to sketch again.  When Stella says sketch, I do!  You can find the sketch and challenge on the Catch the Bug Blog for Bugaboo Stamps

Easter is still a ways away, but I'm starting on a few cards.  This is my first:

This card uses Simple Cute Bunny 01, colored with Copic markers.

Here's Stella's Sketch for the next 2 weeks:
As you can see, I followed the sketch pretty closely.  I put the sentiment at the top instead of the bottom, and used some CTMH glimmer trim instead of the scallop border.

Papers on this card are from AMB Illustrations.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Simon Says Stamp.  The candy dots were part of my stash.

Have you picked up the Friday Freebie?  Use it to join in on the challenge.  I'd love to see what you create, and you could win even more incredible Bugaboo Stamps

Enjoy the Ride -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's a new month, so there's a new challenge at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  This month, the theme is 'Travel'.  Naz has some wonderful digis in her Etsy shop, and many of them would fit the transportation theme.

I used the adorable Mouse on Bike to create this:

I colored Mouse on Bike with Copic markers.  I saved the tires for last, and was on the second tire when, "blop", my Copic marker dripped.  I was able to hide the mistake with my sentiment.  Phew!  That was close!

I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday on this card.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. There are 2 collections represented here, both from the November New Release.  There's a Touch of Teal (polka dot paper) and  Watercolor Canvas (circle and teal strip behind image).

The bicycle paperclip is from a card kit I purchased long ago from Simon Says Stamp.  It took me about as long to find it as it did to create the card.  But I knew I had it somewhere!

I hope you can join us this month at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog for our travel themed challenge.  I'd love to see your creations!

Monstrous Birthday Wishes -- for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's time for a bit of mid-challenge inspiration at Aloha Friday Challenges.  The theme this time is Halloween/Fall.

I used a Halloween image and Fall colors to create this birthday card:

One of our sponsors for this challenge is Polkadoodles, and this is Polkadoodles Monster 4, colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut.

I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday to create this card.  Here's the sketch:

The orange designer paper is from Close To My Heart.  The sequins are from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you can join us at Aloha Friday Challenges for our Halloween/Fall challenge.  You still have all week to link up!

Hey There, Hop Stuff! for QKR Stampede

It's Friday!  Yea!  And, the last Friday of the month.  It's also the start of a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  The challenge goes from Friday - Thursday, and is always Anything Goes.

Today, I have a super cute bunny image to share with you.  He's just too cute!

This is Questioning Bunny (ES-digi24504), colored with Copic markers.  There's a cotton ball on his tail, although it's a bit hard to see it in this picture.

Bunnies make me think of spring, and pastel colors make me think of spring, so I'm in a very spring-time mood with this card.  He is really hop-stuff, isn't he?!?

The sentiment on this card is from a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  The papers on the card are from Close To My Heart.  The oval dies are from Die-namics.  The banner die is from Craftin' Desert Divas.

I hope to see you linked up at the QKR Stampede Challenge blog this week for our Anything Goes Challenges.  We've got great digis you can win (like this one!), and I'd love to see what you create!

Hey There, Hop Stuff! For Bloobel Stamps

Hey, hey, Hop stuff!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Easter is fast approaching.  With it falling on April 1, I think it's really going to sneak up on me this year.

Lisa Bloobel, of Bloobel Stamps, has the funnest, quirkiest, most recognizable style that I just love.  Today, I created a card using Bunneh 2.  This guy is h-o-t!

Isn't he the greatest?  There's a bundle of these bunnies, (Bunneh Pack) and all 3 of them are just a hoot!  You seriously need them ALL in your digital collection!

I colored Bunneh 2 with Copic markers, then fussy cut him out.  The sentiment, which fits his expression perfectly, doesn't it?!? is from a Simon Says Stamp stamp set.

The papers on this card are retired Close To My Heart.  I cut the bunny border out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, with a file I found at the Silhouette Design Store.  The oval die is from Die-namics. I used this week's sketch at The Outlawz Wednesday Challenge as my starting point for the card.

Don't forget to check out the Bloobel store.   You owe it to yourself!

You're my kind of Peep! -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Today is my first post for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  I've been following Patricia's artwork for some years now, and it's been so fun to watch her grow and develop as a digital artist.  When I saw she was having a DT call, I had to try to see what happens.  Happily, here I am!  You'll find her Kinda Cute by Patricia shop here.  She has digital stamps, digital papers, and clear stamps.  Really awesome stuff!

Since Easter is fast approaching, I thought I'd feature an Easter-themed card today, using digital stamp, Easter Bird:

I colored Easter Bird with Copic markers, then fussy cut out the image.  The designer papers on this card are also from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  They are Easter Pastel digital papers

The card base is a cutting file from the Silhouette Design Store.  I cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo 3.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  It seemed to be just what I was looking for!  The silver foil tape is from Close To My Heart.

You'll find more inspiration, a monthly challenge, and news of new releases in the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group.  I'll be back later in the month with one of the New Releases I was talking about.  I can't wait!!

Kindness in Shades of Blue -- for the Path of Positivity

Blue, blue, this card is blue. Blue is this card because I'm missing you!  And, because Shades of Blue is the optional challenge theme at Path of Positivity this month.  To be eligible for the prize from our guest sponsor, your card must be 55% blue.  I think this one is!

I used papers from one of this month's sponsors at Path of Positivity Challenge Blog this month, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The 2 blue papers on this card front are from Lisa's Naturally Cool Digital Set.

The heart was cut out with a stitched die from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  The butterfly sticker cluster is from Pebbles Paper Co.  The twine is from my stash.

Here's another similar card I constructed with the same concept, but not quite as much blue:

Which do you like better?  Lots of blue or the pink heart version?

Blue is one of my favorite colors.  I wear a lot of blue (it brings out the blue of my eyes), but I also find myself using a lot of blue in my crafting.  How about you?  Is blue a color you gravitate towards?

I hope you find time to join us over at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog where the optional theme is Shades of Blue.  Or, if you like, you can link up any positive-themed project.

Sunflower Mini Gram -- for Pickled Potpourri

Hello, everyone!  I hope you are finding time to enjoy the summer. We've had a cool, rainy summer, but the flowers are beautiful!  Just like the flowers on this Sunflower Mini Gram from Pickled Potpourri Designs.

I printed the Sunflower Mini Gram on yellow paper, then used color pencils to color the designs on it.

Here, I'm just getting started:

I love sunflowers, so this was very fun for me to color up!
All I need to do is write message on the other side, fold it in 3rds, seal the Sunflower Mini Gram, and it's done!
Pickled Potpourri has so many fun designs in their store, at very reasonable prices.  Please check it out for yourself!  Do you prefer rubber stamps?  Check out Red Rubber Designs instead.

Missing You -- for Oddball Art

It's the end of the month, and at Oddball Art, we're in the middle of our Anything Goes challenge.  It's time for a bit of mid-challenge inspiration.

I have a friend I've been missing lately, so I took advantage of the Anything Goes theme this month to use the Image #30, Evie & Bunni, to create this:

I colored Image #30 with Copic markers and stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp near her.  Then, it was a matter of creating the card.

Label dies from Spellbinders, papers from Close To My Heart, and crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM completed this Missing You card for the Oddball Stamps Anything Goes Challenge.

Today is a Good Day to Smile! -- The Outlawz Progressive Challenge

Woohoo!  It's been a great, productive, crafty weekend for me.  I hope whatever you've been doing, you've been enjoying yourself!

I try to play along with The Outlawz Monthly Freebie Progressive Challenge each month. This month's freebie was generously provided by Di's Digi Stamps, and it's wonderful!

I love coloring animals and I love sunflowers, so this mouse & sunflower digi was pure joy to color!

I colored the Mouse & Sunflower image with Comic markers, then used a Spellbinders label die in various sizes to cut it out and back it. I used a smaller version of the die to showcase the sentiment -- a clear stamp from a Simon Says Stamp set. The sunflower crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  I also used my We R Memory Keepers scalloped corner chomper on this card.

Spread Kindness -- for Oddball Art Challenge Blog

It's the 15th of the month, and that means we're starting a new challenge at Oddball Art Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is "For You Blue" (use something blue).  LOVE blue -- love this challenge!

I used image #317 - Fiona on this card.  I colored image #317 with Copic markers, then used 2 sizes of a Spellbinders die set to cut her out and back her.

The sentiment on this card is from Simon Says Stamp. Fiona seems deep in thought, like she may be thinking of ways to change the world. The sentiment seemed to fit her expression.

The 'For you, Blue' challenge will run from Aug 15 to Sept. 14.  I hope you'll join us!  If you need a fantastic Oddball Art image (or several) of your own to color up, use discount code DTJULIE10 to get 10% off of anything in the Oddball Art Etsy Store

Thanks! for Great Impressions Stamps

Yea!  It's Saturday, my day to post on the Great Impressions Stamps blog.

I recently needed to make a dozen thank you cards.  I wanted a design I could mass produce that would still look like some time had been put into them.

As usual, I reached for Great Impressions Stamps.  I used H251 - Tall Tulips and some distress inks to create these cards:

I used distress markers directly on the H251 - Tall Tulips rubber stamp.  After huffing a bit of moisture on it, I stamped it on the white paper.

A strip of designer paper and a couple of dies (by Paper Wishes and Craftin' Desert Divas) finish off the card.  The card base is from Simon Says Stamp.

Great Impressions Stamps has an Anything Goes Challenge going on all month.  Come join the fun here!

Don't forget to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Store to see the other elegant floral stamps, plus all the other wonderful Great Impressions Stamps.

A Note to say Hello -- for Julia Spiri

It's time for a bit of mid-month inspiration over on the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  The theme is always 'Anything Goes -- with a twist', if you choose to participate.  This month's twist is At The Beach or Sea.

I have a little inspiration for you using a Julia Spiri image.  I love to color flowers, and since our mid-month inspiration posts can be anything we choose, I chose this beautiful floral arrangement called, 'Wedding Flowers'.

I colored 'Wedding Flowers' with Copic markers, then stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp on it.

The card base was cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  The file is from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  The Wedding Flowers were cut out with a Spellbinders die.  The designer paper is Echo Park's Neapolitan Dots & Stripes.  The mulberry flowers were purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you join in on the 'At the Beach or Sea' challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog this month.   Julia has some great mermaids and 'at the beach' images to color up!  Check them out in her Etsy store here!  Check out the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group, too, for lots of inspiration, fun, and notice of freebies and sales.
