Alice in Wonderland Blog Hop!!!

Today we are celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, and what better way to do that, than to share lots of creative projects inspired by this wonderful story.

Not only will you see lots of amazing artwork today, but you can also win prizes from the following amazing companies;

Prize winners will be selected from Random blogs throughout the hop using Random.org to select each winner.  In order to be eligible for a prize you must visit all stops on the hop and leave a comment. The prize draws will be open until July 18th, with winners announced on July 20th.

I thought long and hard about my favorite Alice in Wonderland character and kept coming back to the Mad Hatter.  The older I get, the more I can relate!

This image is from The East Wind. The image is Lucy Loo 'Mad Hatter'.  I colored her with Copic markers and fussy cut her. Here's a close up of the image and the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company. It seemed very appropriate for The Mad Hatter!

The teacup-shaped easel card is a cutting file that I found in the Silhouette Design Store. The papers are retired from Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is my favorite -- 3 Girl JAM!  No Mad Hatter card would be complete without a hat pin.  This one is from Pinque Peacock.

Blog Hop List
Julie  you are HERE!

I'll leave you with my favorite Lewis Carroll quote:

"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense."

I hope you are enjoying this Alice in Wonderland hop as much as I am! Off you go to Katie's blog!  Don't get lost in all this mad talent!

*****Please note this post has been previously published on the new blog. I am in the process of switching everything back. Thank you for your patience.*****

I {heart} You -- for Timeless Twine

It's Monday, and my sweetie is back at work.  He packs his lunch every morning.  Now and then, I like to put a little surprise in for him, just so he knows I'm thinking of him.  Bella Creationz and Timeless Twine have lots of bags and containers to make this very easy to do.

This small glassine bag (3x5 1/2) was the perfect size for a package of cookies and a small bag of candy. Then, all I needed to do was decorate it up a bit. The Plan Nerd 2 stamp set was just what I needed. A bit of imagination, a bit of stamping, and I had a love letter for my hubby.

I wrapped the bag with Autumn Splendor (on SALE for $4.50!) Timeless Twine.  The burlap flower is from Pinque Peacock. I didn't want anything too "girly".  After all, it's in my husband's lunch today!

Check out the Timeless Twine blog each day for tons of inspiration.  I know I do!

Cutest Girl EVER -- for Fitztown

There's a new challenge starting today on the Fitztown Challenge Blog, and it's a fun theme -- "Glitz and Glamour"!  I've been wanting to color this sweet girl for a long while now, and finally got the opportunity to do it.  Oh, what FUN!

This Fitztown image is from the Stardust and Pumpkin Collection.  It is SnP 1.  I colored her with Copic markers and used a Wink of Stella clear brush on her wings.  The sentiment is computer generated.
The papers are from Paper Wishes, the glitter paper is from American Crafts. The lace and crinkle ribbon are from 3 Girl JAM. The stick pin is from Pinque Peacock.  I used a couple of Spellbinders dies on this card, and my We R Memory Keepers scallop corner chomper.  And I had a GREAT time!
Come join the challenge at Fitztown, and have a fun time yourself! The challenge goes for 2 weeks.

Have a Fall-tastic Day! for Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

Happy Friday, crafty friends!  Have you heard of Amy Doodle Stamp Company?  Well, you soon will!  I discovered it several weeks ago, while spending time on the Kit and Clowder Facebook Page, and I was instantly enthralled.  Amy Purdie draws the most delightful digital images!  Let me show you!

This image was a freebie I got from the Kit N Clowder Facebook Group (did I mention Amy is generous, too?)
I colored this Autumn Fairy with Copic markers, using a Wink of Stella glitter pen on her wings and on the berries in her wreath.  I sponged several colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edges of the image while it was still in the Spellbinder label die.
Papers for this card are from Close To My Heart.  Ribbon and jute are from 3 Girl JAM.  Skittles are by my friend Carri at Double Click Connections. The stickpin was made by another friend, Jess, from Pinque Peacock
Make sure you check out the Amy Doodle Stamp Company. There are more wonderful stamps being added all the time. And, there's a fun Amy Doodle Stamp Co. Facebook Page, too! Now, get coloring!
I'd to enter this card in the following Challenges:
Alphabet Challenge -- 'R' is for round or rectangle
Art by Miran -- ATG
Patties Creations Challenge -- Autumn Colors in your image
The Outlawz Challenges -- Twisted Thursday -- favorite technique (coloring with Copics)

Sunflower Season -- for 3 Girl JAM

The sunflowers are in bloom! I love this time of year! My husband and I were on the motorcycle last weekend and we went by many fields of sunflowers.  Every flower was turned towards the sun and they were soooo beautiful!
That was the inspiration behind this card for 3 Girl JAM.

I used watercolor paints on the sunflower stamp (a retired Close To My Heart stamp), then used a fancy Spellbinders label die for accent.  There's 3 Girl JAM jute ribbon and 3 Girl JAM Sunflower crinkle ribbon from the Harvest bundle.
The papers are from Close To My Heart.  The pearl stick pin is from Pinque Peacock
Want some 3 Girl JAM goodies for yourself?  Use discount code JO10 for an awesome 10% off anything in the store.
Like those sunflowers, turn your face to the sun!

You're One in a Melon!

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at Delightful Challenges.  Our theme this week is "Layer It".  I had fun with this one!

I made a tri-fold step card, using the following Digital Delights by Louby Loo products:  Watermelon Time Set and Wicked Watermelon Digital Paper Pack.

I added some layers to this by adding a rhinestone flourish, and by making a flower from the paper pack using a heart-shaped punch.  There's a Pinque Peacock 3/4 inch fabric covered button in the middle of the flower for yet another layer.
Here's what the card looks like closed up:

And here's a view of that adorable Watermelon Time image up close, colored with Copic markers:

You Rock! -- for The Cutting Cafe

It's Wednesday, Hump Day!  And, I'm also posting today for The Cutting Cafe.  We were given lots of choices of files to work with for this time's project:

CUPCAKE BOX WITH LID TEMPLATE - CUTTING FILE

CAMERA PHOTO SHAPED HOLDER TEMPLATE....CUTTING FILE

I debated long and hard on what to make, but finally decided to use the Cupcake Box with Lid template because it's so versatile! And, once I got going, it was so fun, I made several boxes with it:
With this first box, I used the label cut out:

Here's the box with the plain top:

and, with the cupcake inside:

You may have noticed those cute sentiment tags on the boxes?  They are from the Candy Sentiment Sets Printable Stamps -- another of the choices to work with this time.  Adorable, aren't they?  Just print, trim, and attach.  Simple!
Papers and bling are from My Mind's Eye.  I also used 3 Girl JAM Crinkle ribbon, Timeless Twine baker's twine, and a Pinque Peacock felt popper. My friend, Lynn, at the Chetek Bakery, decorated this cupcake just for me. Yummy and cute!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Real Friends Listen with Their Hearts -- for Fitztown

After guest designing for Fitztown for several months, I've been asked to stay on the team, and I couldn't be happier!  This is a great group to work with, and some super images to design with!
Today starts a new challenge on the Fitztown Challenge blog, and the theme is always popular -- Anything Goes.
I used 2 of my favorite images on this card:

The flower is a new Fitztown image, found in the MorgansFaeWorld Etsy Shop, called Flower Set (6 flowers).  The butterfly is Garden 16, and is part of a collection of 6 butterflies.
I have some new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers I am experimenting with, and I used them on both the flower and butterfly. Here's a closeup of both of the images:

The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart.  Designer papers are from the My Mind's Eye Vanity Fair 6x6 pad.  Ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  This is Tuxedo, from the Celebrations Bundle. The pearl stick pin is from Pinque Peacock. I also used a We R Memory Keepers Scallop Corner Chomper on this.
Come join the Anything Goes challenge, and check out the awesome inspiration from the Fitztown Creative Team.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Crafting When We Can -- Bright Colors
Fairytale Stampers -- ribbons, lace, bands
Just Us Girls -- ribbon

I'm Recycling, and saying Goodbye -- for Pinque Peacock

Hello, and happy Friday!  Today, I'm posting for Pinque Peacock.  It is my last post for Jessica and her wonderful products.  I will miss the great camaraderie I've experienced with this team, but know I'll "see" many of these gals around blog land.
I received a bar of soap awhile ago, and thought to myself, "I could do  something with that box."  I saved it, recycled it, and created a treasure box of Pinque Peacock products.
This is what the box looked like when I received it with the bar of soap inside.

Here's the front of the box, recycled:

I covered the box with some Echo Park Dots & Stripes paper, tied a bow out of May Arts silk ribbon, and added a big, bold Pinque Peacock 1.5 inch fabric covered button.
Inside the box...

Make sure to visit the Pinque Peacock blog for tons of inspiration, and check out the Pinque Peacock Challenges and Link ups for the latest Challenge.

The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company Itty Bitty stamp, "Simply Fabulous Peacock".  But the crowning glory on this strutting peacock card is the Pinque Peacock embellishments.  I used a 3/4 inch fabric covered button, a small Elegant Floral, and Soft Bright Sticky Back Jewels, also found at Pinque Peacock.

100% Sweet -- for Pinque Peacock

It's Wednesday, and Independence Day is so close, the fireworks having been going off every night in anticipation in our little town.  I'm posting today for Pinque Peacock, and I've combined two big events happening right now -- strawberry season, and the patriotic 4th of July:

Yes, this is a red, white, and blue strawberry.  Stand up and salute!
Looks kinda yummy, though, with that Pinque Peacock 3/4 inch red fabric covered button, doesn't it?  There's also some 3 Girl JAM ribbon from the Red, White, and Blue Bundle. This strawberry shaped card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe, and so is the "100% Sweet" tag.

I have a giveaway going on, celebrating several events: I wrote my 500th blog post last week, I just reached 400 followers on my blog, and I have over 100 "likes" on my Facebook page, Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  To celebrate all those things,  I'm having a giveaway:  I have some Timeless Twine, some 3 Girl JAM ribbon, a Unity stamp set, a Close To My Heart stamp set, some Pinque Peacock embellishments, a 6x6 paper pad, and various embellishments that I need a home for. I also have two generous sponsors:  DigiStamps4Joy is giving a $10 gift certificate to the store, and The Cutting Cafe is offering any 3 sets.  WOW! If you'd like to be eligible to win, please leave a comment on any of my blog posts between now and July 6.  I'll draw a winner on my birthday.  It's my day, and you get the present!  I'd also love it if you "like" my Facebook page and follow my blog, if you don't already.
Do you have big plans for the 4th?  It's a huge event here in my little town -- parade, family picnic, waterski show, and it all ends with a big fireworks display.  Woohoo! Have a fun, safe, 100% SWEET 4th of July, my American friends!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Sending Happy Your Way

It's Friday, and today I'm posting for Pinque Peacock.  I'm also combining it with Unity Friends With Flair.  I love using Pinque Peacock products on my projects.  They finish them off "oh-so-pretty" -- as you will see!
I made a card with happy colors and a happy theme today.  After all, it's FRIDAY!

I stamped this happy image, then colored it with some bright colored Copic markers.  I mounted it on bright papers, and found a great Large Layered Garden Beauty from Pinque Peacock to pull the card all together.
The stamp is from Unity's Stamp of the Week collection, and is called, ironically, "Sending Happy Your Way."

I have a giveaway going on, celebrating several events: I wrote my 500th blog post this week, I just reached 400 followers on my blog, and I have over 100 "likes" on my Facebook page, Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.
