Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream is a relatively new brand obviously with input from golf legend Jack Nicklaus.   Strawberry Lemonade  was the first flavor I tried from this brand and I didn't really like it, however, one of our fellow ice cream instagrammers recommended I try a few other flavors from the brand including Coffee and Donuts. As it happens, Sam's Choice recently discontinued their spectacular Coffee and Donuts ice cream and I've been looking for a replacement and I thought I would test this one out! Jack Nicklaus Coffee and Donuts is The perfect flavor for our coffee shop lovers! Our Coffee and Donuts Ice Cream will awaken your tastes buds any time of the day or night, with a perfect mix of premium coffee-flavored ice cream, cinnamon, sugar and moist chunks of donut. The base was a solid but not great coffee ice cream.  It was a very sweet and creamy coffee flavor.  I prefer a stronger and less sweet base ice cream, but I know there are some non-coff...

I'm going to start this post off with some bad news. Sam's Choice is going to discontinue this flavor, in addition to their Chocolate and Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle. However, this change isn't happening until March, and while taking these three flavors away, Sam's Choice will be adding 5 new, yet to be disclosed, flavors to their line up! So you still have plenty of time to give this one a try and get pumped for the new flavors! Yes these is actual coffee in this flavor, unlike the Great Value flavor! This flavor is described as Coffee Ice Cream with Swirls of Icing and Donut Pieces . So this flavor is the only ice cream I've seen with an icing swirl. And what an icing swirl it is. Look at the picture of the swirl. Wow. The swirl, however, did not stay this thick through the entire container. The swirl is also incredibly sweet and intense. Kyle and I randomly decided to go to Wal-Mart the other day.  (This may not actually have been so random, I've had my eye on Sam's Choice Ice Cream for quite a while.)  In the ice cream aisle I decided to pick up a quart of Sam's Choice Coffee and Donut ice cream. I'm kind of surprised that I haven't seen this flavor combination before now.  I mean, coffee and donuts go together so well as do ice cream and donuts.  (Don't believe me?  Go try it.)  I had really high hopes for this ice cream in the sense that its really difficult to do a bad coffee ice cream, and donut chunks can only enhance things.  Boy were my expectations blown out of the water.  This is a contender for best ice cream of the year.  Wow.
