I was experimenting with watercolours on watercolour paper and a few posca pens before I read the challenge - galaxy,  but I thought it would fit the bill.

Plain or Fancy?

I made the stamp out of a used foam nail buffer block, then added colour with brusho and posca pens.

Do you prefer the plain version or the colourful one?

Dog and Swan, Pages from my Sketchbook

A page of text was collaged to the sketchbook then coloured with brusho. I drew the dog on top with aquamarkers and posca pens.

The lower half of the 'swan' was a found image, the top half was drawn on. I used brusho, aquamarkers, pen liner and posca pens.

Easter Rabbits

Above- from a sketchbook, collaged painted leaves, the rabbit was drawn on fabric. Brusho, aquamarkers, posca pens.

Caterpillar Magazine and Sketchbook Pages

I've got a couple of my little illustrations as part of a collage in 'the caterpillar', a magazine for children. My drawings are the bird writing and the plug/socket. Visit their website here.

I recycled some washi tape [stuck on with glue stick], the lines were made with aquamarkers and water.

Aquamarkers, brusho and metallic posca pens

My friend had bought a silhouette cutting machine and she gave me a demonstration by cutting out the pink buttons. I don't like what I have done with them but the buttons are nice.

The page below shows what I did with the off cuts [the pink bits] from the buttons. There were also lots of dots......

Mermaid and Fish Collage

The top half of the mermaid was a found image from a magazine, the fish I made from papers, then coloured and decorated.  For the remainder - background, mermaids tail I used aquamarkers [and water], posca pens, metallic posca pens.

Mona Collage

I did this with the sketchbook challenge in mind which is 'sketching with collage.'

Actually I didn't sketch any of the parts so I don't know that it will qualify for that particular challenge. I did paint the background though with aquamarkers and posca pens. I'd been having a clear out of old art magazines and I thought I would use some of the images.

Woven Tapes

Woven hand made washi tapes [that is artwork etc with double sided sticky tape cut into strips]

Embroidery/Mixed Media/New Camera

Trying out a couple of close ups with my new camera on an embroidered picture on the wall.

And a page from my sketchbook - I collaged scraps from a gardening book, used brusho inks to paint over, drew the tree with neocolour crayons and a posca pen for the red details
