Friday Catch Up 24Dec21
My Granddaughter likes dressing up so I thought I would alter a small bag of mine that I don't use. I painted it with acrylics. I didn't come out like I had it in my mind, I was in a rush and didn't plan it out on paper like I should have. I decided to leave the strap as it was just in case the paint comes off.
This is the original bag.
It's Paint Party Friday
and
Happy Christmas to anyone that celebrates.

Altered Book - Pages 65-74
More from the altered book Somerset Studio 2003 Art Journal Calendar. You can't tell on some pages that it is an altered book, it could be any sketchbook.
Don't know if you were expecting more than 6 pages, ie 65-74 - I'm just using the calendar pages and leaving the art pages as they were [in the book one side is art, one side calendar]
I remembered to join in with Paint Party Friday this week, go along to see more art.

Great North Snowdogs
These are some of the snowdogs that have been seen in the area recently. There were 61 big and 97 small in total but I only saw these [plus one which I didn't photograph]. They are going to be auctioned to raise money for St. Oswald's Children's Hospice, details here. On the website you can also see all the dogs and the artists.

WIP - Birds, Texture and Embroidery
Eight bird collages.
The backing paper was some waste paper from another project, from that long ago I can't remember the project. I like the pictures but I think they would look better with machine embroidery which I may do eventually.
This is a sheet of watercolour paper to which I have applied some raised letters by using olden course molding paste and a plastic stencil. Then sprayed with a couple of different colours of ink. What to do next? Draw? More paint effects? Collage?
This is my whitework embroidery coming along. There is a LOT of stitching on this.
