Sacred Angel of Tuna

OK, so that's pretty crazy! Actually, my project uses an angel and a tuna can! This angelic diorama came to be due to my choosing of a pescatarian  diet (vegetarian allowing fish).   I have been wanting to make dioramas but simply did not get around to it (that's a bad pun in the whole tuna can thing!) Chicken of the Sea came to my rescue. I cleaned the can and removed the label.  I painted the interior and around the rim with chalk paint tinted with interference paint.  While the paint was still wet I coated it with iridescent glitter. I used a fancy cut angel from collage # 669 and created a stand so it would be 3 dimensional inside the 'heavenly sphere'.   I cut a small piece of ruffled lace and folded it over to create a cushion for the base of the angel's stand.  I used E6000 to apply the lace securely.   I then covered the exterior of the can with flat lace and an overlay of ruffled lace sprayed and sprin...

Memories... Three Sisters

This card brings many memories.  I have two sisters and we has so much fun together when we were younger... playing outside.  This image reminds me of when we would play tag!  Anyone else ever play tag? Supplies: Rubber Stamp Depot - Three Sisters image Black ink Black Embossing Powder Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey Water Brush Niji Paints Flower Giant Image Rhinestones Double Stick Tape Glue Stick Tacky Glue Card Base For this project all papers are from the Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey  6 1/2 inch pad.  In the back of the pad are 4 pages of die cuts, I incorporated a few on the card. First, choose a piece of  Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey  to stamp the  Rubber Stamp Depot - Three Sisters image  with Black ink , then emboss with  Black Embossing Powder . This sheet of the Kaiser Craft Botanical Odyssey  is perfect... it provides a light patterned background for the images. ...

What happens in Vegas...

Hello!  Robin here with a scrapbook project for you today.  Las Vegas, Nevada has a very special place in my heart.  It's where my husband and I got married 20 years ago.  In that time, so many things have changed in the city that never stops moving.  Even though I haven't been back since then, it's a little sad to know that our cute little chapel is gone now.  So is the little hotel at the far end of the strip where we stayed.  Glad I have them both captured on film! Altered Pages has so many art supplies that are perfect for scrapbooking.  I'm a pretty basic scrapper and all of my books are in 8 1/2 by 11 format.  Back when I started scrapping there were not very many places to buy the 12 x 12 albums, and binders for letter size paper are always plentiful.  I like the photos to be the main focus on each page with just a few highlights.  I chose paper flowers , gold opulence corners , a few journal words and game piec...
