Shabby Chic Style Valentine's Day Cards

Hello everyone, and happy Monday.  Barbara here with a couple of Valentine's Day cards for you. Did you know that  Altered Pages  has a huge selection of collage images that are perfect for Valentine's Day?  And each sheet contains so many different images that will help you create the perfect cards. Let's get started with Card 1. Card 1 Cut  Red Cardstock  to 9"x 6" and fold in half to make a 41/2" x 6 inch card. Cut  brown print paper   to 4-1/2" x 6" and emboss with an embossing folder.  Distress edges, and hit high spots with Jasmine, then Schoolhouse Red  Mixed Media  ink pads.  Dry ink with a heat tool. Hello, Friend

Aloha! It's Gia posting for the first time on the Altered Pages Blog. I finally realized that it's okay to use them up- there will always be more where those came from!  I used paper and embellishments  from Glitz Designs to make this little magnetic memo board. I also used some Paris Trunk eco-friendly in...

Love is in the Air and My Art Journal

Hi Everyone!  Danie here with you today sharing a snippet of a page I have been playing at in my Art Journal.  Do you ever have those days where you start with an idea and you run with it only to be lead elsewhere.  That's what pretty much happened with the this page. I started with some Vintage Text Pages and Glitz Papers  which I had used last week to make a Valentine's Day Card with along two Chipboard Scroll Corners all Altered Pages Products and my Faber Castell Gelatos in two colors.   I covered the Scroll Corners with the Rose Paper and wanted to use them to frame my stamped LOVE which is from the Glitz Love Games Clear Stamp Set also from Altered Pages.  I was sort of going for something a little Shabby Chic/Romantic which is totally not my usual style. Some Vintage Lace, Pearl Dew Drops, Roses from my stash and some further stamping embellish this page further along with a few hand drawn hearts and some basic faux stitching....
