As the year comes to a close w e are giving you a little recap and  in spirational look back at The Altered Pages Design Team creations over the past year.  Yesterday, Trish got us started with previous blog posts and projects created.  I thought I would continue that theme and do a sampling of some of the amazing products  that  we have had fun with this year.  No one compares to the collage database at Alteredpages.com .  It is just incredible and we are adding more frequently.  This is one of my all time favorites.  (1009 Ephemera) We have a great selection of Embellishments  too. Who doesn't love Giant Gems?!?! Alteredpages.com has a vast array of rubber stamps  and we expanded on that in 2016, by working in conjunction with  Faerie Song Art Stamps...  And, Rubber Stamp Depot   We combined Altered Pages products  with lovely Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.    ...

Spring Scrapbook Page / Collage

Judy Wood here today with a Spring scrapbook page created using Sabor papers . Choose the coordinating Sabor papers to accent/layer your photo.   Cut to size. Use acrylic paint or Gelatos on your blending tool to apply paint through the stencil (any stencil will do).   Use this stencil technique to decorate one or both papers. I used purple paint with my stencil to match one of the coordinating papers.  Let dry. Randomly stamp with diluted white paint  or white Gelatos stamp both papers.   I have a favorite ‘font’ stamp, but any stamp will do. The diluted white paint helps unify the contrasting papers.  Let dry.   Layer papers and photo(s). Use Aleen’s Tacky Glue or adhesive tape to secure. Add flat flowers to finish (if using in a scrapbook) or 3D flowers if using as a collage or wall hanging. You can always add ribbon, lace , butterflies, or flowers. Supplies to create this page: Sabor Pape...

Gift bags galore (featuring paper by Sabor)!!!

Festive gift bags featuring Sabor paper!    Design by Judy Wood   My designer gift bags are featured in a little shop in Old Town Scottsdale, for Spring, I decided to have a little fun using Sabor papers!   Cut a 12x12 Sabor paper in six inch squares. Find a pattern using both sides of the double side paper that’s pleasing to the eye. Use Aleene's Tacky Glue to glue squares onto any size gift bag (available at most craft stores, or UPcycle). I use a heavy book after applying glue to make sure nothing shifts and the bag doesn’t warp.   Wait about 15 minutes before moving the book. I found two of the squares didn’t fit as flush as I would have liked, so I used some black and white ribbon to cover up the white of the bag.   Add matching fabric flowers . Add bright colored ribbons , tissue paper and add gift(s)!   Great for Graduations, Birthdays, baby showers, wedding gifts, or any occasion!     ...

Acrylic Stamping by Judy Wood

Hi it's Judy Wood...... Today I will share a fun mixed media project!  This can be used to make tags, greeting cards, bookmarks, journal pages, or even on canvas!  Sometimes, it's just fun to play! Step 1: You can use ANY paper, yes, even your favorite scrapbook paper!  I like deckle edge paper, to get that look, you can use the metal side of your ruler and carefully tear the paper against your ruler.  Any shape, any size!   Step 2: Spray your paper with a little water, then use your favorite spray ink , I used Smooch green .  If you get 'blossoms', don't worry about it, they look nice and you might eventually cover them up.  If you get too much spray, use a baby wipe to take a little off.  Don't overwork the paper.  Let dry.   Note: I wear gloves, as inks can stain your skin.  Step 3: Use  vintage text book paper or printed tissue paper, crumple it up a bit, use matte medium , it helps the c...
