Scrappy Monday, y'all! I had a productive weekend; I'm up to 6 pages for this year so far and I've got another layout on my table already halfway done. Working on those 2020 goals!
Today's layout is another one from a 2012 trip to Scotland with my hubs, my parents, and Bennet & Missy.
See the original pictures here. I reallyreallyreally wish we could buy single color packs of 12x12 cardstock because I neeeeeed more Shaded Spruce! And Balmy Blue. I would use both of those for a LOT of layouts if I had an unlimited supply. I keep running out of Mango Melody too. Anyway, this is yet another example of a page with Missy on it where the primary colors are Baylor green and gold. Apparently I can't help myself.
Today's color palette: Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry, Ballet Blue (long retired but I still love it), Early Espresso (not black, I promise), and Whisper White.
I'm ready to start this week off right--going to HIIT class at the Y this morning. How's your morning looking? Cheers, y'all!
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Spencerian Alphabet Upper & Lower, Rough Type, Timeless Textures, Bella's Bloom
Ink: Early Espresso, Ballet Blue
Paper: Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso, Ballet Blue, Crushed Curry, Thick Whisper White, Country Lane DSP
Accessories: Circle punches

Nijo Castle
Hey y'all, how's your Wednesday going? I'm working on getting Ryan on a regular schedule for feedings and naps, so wish me luck with that. Although he is asleep right now, so I call that a win.
Anyway, we're back to Japan for today's scrapbook layout.
See the pictures here if you're interested. Nijo Castle is in Kyoto, Japan, which we visited in October of 2009. I skip around a lot when I'm choosing pictures to scrapbook, but I am making an effort to get my older pictures scrapped sooner rather than later. I'm afraid that I've forgotten details for most everything before I started my blog, so journaling those pages will be interesting :p It really does help me to look at old blog posts when I do journaling on my scrapbook pages.
My page title. Instead of using white or vanilla for the title block and journaling block, I went with Sahara Sand, just for something a little different. I meant to use Elegant Eggplant for the page base, and it wasn't until I had a bunch of stuff stuck down that I realized I accidentally used my last two pieces of Eggplant Envy instead. Yes, it's still purple, but it's a few shades lighter than Elegant Eggplant--you can see the photo mats on the bottom of the pages are darker purple than the background. It's okay that I used the lighter color, I think it still looks fine, but I wish I'd realized before I stuck things down so I could have made a conscious decision whether or not to use up the last of my Eggplant Envy. I may have color hoarding problems.
Today's color palette: Elegant Eggplant (and Eggplant Envy, but I don't have a cardstock swatch for it since I'm now completely out of that color), Taken with Teal, Old Olive, and Sahara Sand.
I'm off to do dishes and maybe even work in my craft room before Ryan wakes up. Cheers, y'all!
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Lovely Letters Alphabet, Sweet Shoppe Alphabet, Bella's Bloom
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Taken with Teal, Sahara Sand
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Eggplant Envy, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Sweet Pea DSP

Friday Flashback: Bella's Bloom
Happy Friday and welcome to the Friday Flashback! This week's stamp set is a super-cute little set called Bella's Bloom.
Here's a quick 5-minute CAS card...
And something a little more involved, and then the archives were empty. So here is my new Bella's Bloom creation:
It's more on the CAS side again but I like it. I used this week's Color Throwdown:
I interpreted the color swatches as Melon Mambo, Lost Lagoon, and Basic Black. It reminds me of a lot of the cross stitch patterns I have from Stoney Creek, it seems like their color of choice for the leaves and stems on roses is always more in the blue-green area rather than straight green.
I also used this week's Retro Rubber Challenge:
I got Bella's Bloom when it debuted in the fall of 2008, so it's 7 1/2 years old, and I've had Curly Cute probably since 2010 or 2011, so both of my stamp sets for today are suitably retro for this challenge.
See you here tomorrow for another baby book layout!
Supplies, last card only:
Stamps: Bella's Bloom, Curly Cute
Ink: Melon Mambo, Lost Lagoon, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Shimmery White
Accessories: Brights Candy Dot
