Heads Up

While in Malaga we also visited the Museo Automobilista or Automobile Museum.
As well as a range of cars there was also art, some unusual seats and fashion.
There were some strange heads on some of the fashion models.

Butterflies and Rhododendron

This butterfly found it's way into the conservatory yesterday, doesn't it have lovely markings. I managed to get it out in one piece I'm pleased to say.
A butterfly I did a few weeks ago.
This rhododendron has been in my garden almost from when we moved in and that is about 30 years. In that time I have only ever seen two flowers, and not in the same year. As you can see there are over 30 flowers this year! Amazing.

Woman and Bear

I did this digital collage a while ago, I was saving it for something, don't know what.
The image of the woman and bear, yes they were together was from a book I have - Women Archive Pictures. The background was a photo I took of a gravestone and graveyard.

Swans, Cygnets, Sketchbook Pages, Button Gift

Before my daughter and husband got the train back to London we went to Herrington Park and we saw lots of swans, a pair of them had baby cygnets. But it was really cold.......

When I got back home I opened a lovely packet of buttons which had come from a blogging friend - Sherry. Check out her blog, she is always creating lovely things.

More pages from my big sketchbook - number 12

watercolour background and found images

A Face in the Wall.

We are having a conservatory built and every time I look at a certain part of the brickwork I see a face in the mortar. Can anyone else see it?
Below - I've drawn in the face. Below that is the face without mortar.

Unfurl and Rolling Stamp 52

I drew the flower for the Sketchbook Challenge - unfurl
I left the background white and thought I would try it in some real settings

in a bluebell wood

near a poppy field

near an unusual fence [I like this one the most]

Rolling Stamp 52 - this one is similar to number 46. I did this one first but the 'repeats' didn't match up at the sides,  I think it was a bit too holey and I'm not very accurate at cutting out. Number 46, shown on an earlier post, the side branches all join up for a neater edge.

Malta - boats

I've just come back from a lovely holiday in Malta. The place in the photo is called Marsaxlokk and there were hundreds of boats of all shapes and sizes and different colours. I love the two little ones in the front of the picture, the one on the right looked a bit like a box, it makes you wonder what it would be like to use it.

Do Not Spit

A sign seen at Beamish Museum. [a working museum which recreates how the people of the North of England lived and worked in the early eighteen and nineteen hundreds]
