Roadwar 2000 Journal: Shootout at the shoggoth mine

Staring:

Karumi the psychic biker ninja agent of Gentech corp

Wasteland mutant freak with car built only for ramming with metal shutters over windows and huge armour slabs in front and back.

A ex sheriff out for revenge in a police interceptor. Town destroyed so police status active even though a death racer

A sniper veteran who is just getting into bikes

A cyborg war vet with self control issues and a van

So gang with ninja, sheriff, mutie and sniper on way to b list death race. The semi big league. Eating in a roadhouse chicken shop when tv add for Bobs BBQ restaurant chain came on with promotion to kill party and get $5000 per party member that never makes it to the race.

A bit unsettled but nobody in chicken shop cared. Got moving. Sniper with cyber eye saw dust plume and zoomed in to see bikers coming. Remembering last time he shot first and initiated total kill on "innocent biker gang" he held fire. Bikers got closer. 300 metres....200 metres....100 meters then they turned off road and fled.

Two hundred k later and saw another gang in formation zooming in. Sheriff accidentally misidentified as gang who killed his family and accelerated to 180kmh. Bikers began evasive driving. Rest followed him as he began to fire twin linked machine guns. Destroyed leader of gang then put lots of holes in second in command bike frame but guy somehow made it through. Got closer and ninja girl creamed another from her bike MG. Second in command finally lost control and flipped bike and turned into a red skid mark.

Finaly got to ram range with both cars and ninja bike in formation. Sniper held back as closest to weaponized bike was his cyberlinked assault rifle in rear facing mount. Gang dodged police interceptor. A biker jumped on police cruiser roof with chain. Another attached a crude home made stickybomb to car side on back door.

Mutie had a guy miss with a molotov and swerved into two cycles smearing drivers and crushing bikes but slowed him a bit. Ninja fired a few more bursts and missed and tried to do a 180 bootleg turn and only managed 80 degrees and a huge skid. Sniper tried to kick a guy on way past but got off some bursts with improv rear gun injuring more bikers.

Sheriff linked to car by brainjack so leaned out with truncheon to knock off stickybomb. Got rapped by chain in helmet. Mutie pulled up from behind with his sawn off and liquified biker on cop car roof. Sheriff got his chance and pushed off bomb. Got 5 out of 12 bikes, last seven went off road and escaped. Bomb went off with napalm and explosives and nails. Teamed moved on.

Got to armoured truckstop that looked safe in greener more humid zone. Fairly sure not a biker gang fortress. Let through gates after hearing rules. Parked and friendly mechanic offered services. Ninja got her bike recharged. Mutie got a bio slurry fuel plant to turn roadkill into fuel. Was second hand and stolen but probably safe. Sheriff got a carwash. Sniper disappointed no fancy ammo here.

Joined by old cyber vet buddy in van. Was the less crazy of two that didn't need his therapist on hand. Got huge steaks and expensive booze and swarmed by bunch of average prostitutes. Mutie hired a room and read bible to four of them. One showed him her Elder Nguyen Seth Brethren of Joseph bible and he studied it with horror till dawn. Others rested in cars as still wary of the bounty on them. In morning farmer came round offering them a pig each (worth thousands) if they would get miners of his farm.

Sheriff checked was no legal claim or use of farmers land so party went to look. Farmer invited to house and had a look via his hide in hills at what bikers doing. Saw sheds with bikes and cars. Portable toilets (with fuel plants). Caravans for bunks. Mining shed. Big open shed with grog still and BBQ where miners ate and partied. One caravan had bars where they kept four captive women which convinced team to take job. Couldn't work out what they were mining. Sheriff saw Brethren of Joseph brochures in camp through his extreme telescopic cyber eye.

Sniper and Sherrif set up in the farmers hideout with guns. Sheriff using captured battered sniper rifle from gang they killed ages ago. Ninja made a crude bush camo netting ponch and put over her stealth suit and got to 40 metres of camp and hid. Used her telepathy to evesdrop Black Dragon. the operation boss. A asian merc and miners leader. Other miners all gangbangers and criminals. Pried on Black Dragon with her Gentech research granted powers and overheard him recruiting more miner/scum. Mutie and cyborg went in on bikes using info from Karumi about recruiting to infiltrate. Black Dragon told they would get $2000 a month to mine and kill intruders. Flunkey showed around camp and they got told they would get meat and grog and party drugs and girls. Showed around camp and saw mining shed where soild being sifted more like bad archeology dig. Had cases of aboriginal relics they said they were going to sell but not what miners were after. Saw a bark cylinder mummy. Sheriff who had sneaked closer saw what was in cases and stomache churned as he was of aboriginal decent. Mutie and the cyborg had eaten lots of roadkill and recognised huge emu and kangaroo bones which meant the dig was over 10 000 years into the past.

In mine saw they had cleared out a tunnel aboriginals had sealed up thousands of years ago. Saw hand stencil prints on wall and painted scene of dancers and some amorphous horror thing with eyes and mouths and tentacles. Miners were trying to unblock more tunnels. Huge rocks used unlike anything ever documented in Australia. Found a pattern of emu footprints painted on rocks.

So boys went to work. Cyborg was a demolitions expert and mechanic so he got keys and access to explosives and sheds. Explored camp and noticed most vehicles renegade scratchbuilt from salvage but one black 4x4 belonging to Black Dragon was very high tech. Cyborg concerned it would have sensors against planting bomb there. Grabbed a bunch of C4 and with his own electronic remote detonators started rigging up bombs around camp.

Inside mine was a hard afternoon work for the massive mutant and his crew got way close to getting into a new sealed section that seemed way older into the volcanic mountain. Convinced his crew they would get a bonus and kept digging while most miners went to eat and party.

Ninja girl in hiding noticed weird pressure wave emanating from mine. Mutie felt it too as he broke through into volcanic vent with strange well. Sniper saw emus congregating into three large groups an sneak up on camp. Three groups of 30. He was pretty freaked as they seemed to be acting in unison. Karumi psionicly felt chatter of emus as they moved around her in the dusk forest. Sheriff a bit freaked but stayed put. Even when one pecked his badge.

Mutie returned to camp checking up with team mates by radio. Cyborg had camp riddled with bombs. Both joined miners in party shed and encouraged drinking games. Black Dragon pleased by news from mine went to his car for satellite call to his corporation HQ at Universal Products. Strange winds came from mine and emus crept ever closer. Miners had pulled out girls in chains for a dance floor show and offered mutie a girl. He demanded all of them at once and miners laughed and let him have keys for two and a caravan. Cyborg given one while other woman in tears dancing. Mutie went to caravan and released girl teling them to hold on. Cyborg brought his girl into caravan too. Other girl dancing next to still which they had planned for sniper to shoot.

Invisible in dark to most, cyborg saw them with his thermographic vision. Sensing everything going to shit cyborg got case of explosives and slid under Dragons 4x4 flipping it and injuring occupant. One blast enough to make him have zone flashbacks and rest of bombs detonated. Miners freaked and ran for gun rack after first blast but didnt make it in time. About three got long arms left in party shed but sniper turned head of one with scoped rifle's head into mist. Mutie ran from caravan with pump action killing the guy with a shotgun.

Swarms of emus ran into camp. Karumi followed ran after them. while sherif with scoped magnum desert eagle killed last miner who got a decent gun. Black dragon crawled from wrecked car and got a .50 cal from sniper in chest and he disappeared from sight. Cyborg in full cyberpsych mode ran unarmed with emus at miners and smushed a head with his cyber arm with jackhammer punch mode. Emus were tearing miners into shreds. Karumi locked onto Dragon with her mind and ran for his location. He was applying a high tech med pack to chest wound and was a cyborg. Mutie and sherrif grabbed all the women and were planning on getting the mining vehicle with grader scoop on fron but saw cyberpscho head that way foaming at mouth screaming and decided to head opposite direction into bush.

Emus tore miners into scattered limbs, heads and torsos.

All heard strange gibbering booming voice from mine that no human could make.

Cyborg got into mine which he had sealed with bomb before to see a translucent tendrin crawl through crack in rock. It sprouted ane eye and blinked at him. Karumi felt disturbance of the being as she ran to Dragon who got into only surviving renegade 4x4. Slightly too late to stop it she hung on. A sniper round hit cars tank and fuel began to leak. She dropped in a grenade and dropped off. Blast damaged vehicle and set alight but kept going. She found a damaged but working bike and gave chase.

In a lucid moment the cyborg shot the shoggoth tendril. Did nothing but made it flex against the rubble and move towards him. Dropped his C4 backpack and left it. Ran a bit and detonated the mine soundly. Psychic presence diminished and the emus ran. Sheriff managed to jump on one and ride it for a bit and fell off. Landed on his bum and thought that was one less wish on his bucket list.

Karumi gave chase to burning vehicle a her bike had four times acceleration she caught up and ran the driver through with her mono vibro katana. Car crashed and exploded. Saw burning cyborg scream and waited till sure he was dead. Even roasted some march mellows on smouldering wreck.

Other got away with girl and cyborg got the mining vehichle. Rested in farmers house and team came to finding Karumi bagging the metal skeleton of black dragon. Found case of aboriginal relics. Sheriff wanted to rebury but rest of gang wanted to take to museum for cash. At least they dropped the black market idea.  Found loose cash, car parts, lots of handguns and tool. Let farmer keep lots and party agreed to let him hold onto pigs till market time in three months for extra cash instead of filling back seats of cars in squealing pigs.

Teamed moved onto bigger town for repairs, ammo and rest.

Roadwar Vehicle Sheet




Have been introducing more weird elements into play. Will sit down and design a bunch of cars to highlight differences between 80s custom cars most people drive in wasteland and the ones more like advanced jet fighters on wheels like Gentech ones. Bikes too. Price lists too. Best cars will be worth millions with AI's, nanite repair systems, anti air missiles, lasers and satellite links and combat hacking decks.

At least this form will let me sit around designing a bunch of cars stats up for play.

Doing a speed conversion chart for miles per hour to kilometers per hour and meters per second which i need for my character sheets. I can adapt later for ww1 flying aces or war ships. Animal speeds handy and my human speeds actually came out ok.

I use (SIZ + DEX)/4 formula and would allow a skill for more speed and endurance. I might allow a conx5 roll for +1 speed with odds getting worse after CON in rounds.

Mostly in game if you et out a car or your bike crashes you are virtually standing still and easy prey for a .50 cal or a car.

Took enough notes to phase out top secret/si content i was using. Will plunder some other games and gurps carwars and dark future yet. Then will probably need to do cyberwear.

Need to do more standard types and a bunch of death racers and hardware for next game. Game has a life of own and has been big fun. Roads when work gets colour printer fixed lol. Then i can take some pix too. Train HO scale bikes have been great might get more.

Doh! More proof why i cant be trusted to edit myself


JDJarvis pointed out my boss monster table seriously out of whack. I could spend a year just re doing all my old blogs but i generally go for the accuracy of a machine gun over a zen archer. I have to get stuff out of my head before i forget it.

So JD pointed out tables added together = 116 entries which is because my brain decided some early hour in jan 2013 that i needed two lots of numbers in 30s range.

Originally was for long stairs so will remove some of those entries and the more genric ones to put elsewhere. Possibly do d100 generic enemies and d100 anachronisms which will work better. Also remove stats, hd and level references so i can fudge them into more uses on the fly. . Some petty formatting incompatibilities too. d100 dungeon over lords might be a thing too. d100 dungeon loners posible for solitary dungeon killers who might be at odds with factions.

Fussing over this stuff has delayed me getting redbrick proof copies out too. That and health better so working more and having social life and gaming more than doing new stuff.

Giant class for my EMO DnD game






I've been promising this for a long time to my players so to celebrate 200 000 hits here it is. A bit of Rabelais inspired this.

Giants are a primordial pre human race who battled the gods in the dawn age and lost. They also battled dragons, reptilians and many other elder races. They have menaced elves and dwarves and halflings and humans since those races existed. Most giants are degenerate cursed monsters. Some are still refined as humans but most of the more magical ones were exterminated aeons ago. Giants are infamous for their voracious appetites. Many giants are terrible parents and allow their young to roam wild. Some children manage to dwell among humans briefly until they grow inhumanly tall and develop monstrous features. Larger giants have trouble fitting in houses or dungeons. Also will tend to have bad reactions with common folk who think you want to eat them.

Fresh Redbrick Encounters 1 Zombie Unicorn Men?

I was going to do these as low level, mid level, high level but instead realized I could also interchange with my dungeon level boss table for medium threats and dungeon big boss table for upper level threats.

Chondaru the villain in current game is a 4th going on 5th level Sorcerer who started as a mid level manager from this table. Now he is a real menace and has been causing them trouble with written letters like invites for attracting more monsters, rival adventurers, mad cultists and more. Meanwhile party have bodyguard job which is a bit tricky. bodyguards not meant to attract killers.

Will be incorporated into this with final version

I was playing totem tennis with kids and we renamed it death ball. If ball touches you it turns you into a zombie. Use two bats each. When you become champion of earth you fight aliens which I play so this is where zombie unicorn men come from.

Exile Log: Hunting the Sorcerer

Only two players this week so had Angel and the Archer decide others were looking after dandies and they would hunt the sorcerer Chandaru who had been using posters and bounties to menace party. With the drug dealer bugbear to help them they found the gang that acted as intermediators with many dungeon villains and the city. Talked with gang and threatened to send tax office and secret police after gang. Told Chandaru staying with wizard in house near woods.

So gathered flunkies.

Angel brought her link boy, her priest, her she-orc body guard and borrowed the bugbear follower of the dark elf.

Archer brought Bolgo the village idiot.

Found the house and Angel went round the back Archer got Bolgo to smash down the door. Goat men charged out and a battle raged. Angel moaned at impetuous archer and smashed down the back door. Killed all the goat men. One room had strapped down men being turned into goatmen and archer killed them as they could not be saved (?).

Heard someone upstairs and chanting. Went up top of stairs and sent Bolgo to open. A fire trap hurt him a bit and room empty with three empty windows, one with balcony. While they started looting the room found silver, wizard robes, baby goats in a pen, notes on making goat men and 5 bottles of goat extract. Archer tried to sneak one in his pocket. Suddenly a wizard jumped onto balcony magic missiles Angel then jumped off.

Party all ran downstairs and heard funny sound none recognised but would never forget. A fireball sailed in room and expoded. Bolgo was charred to near ash as was the priest. Angel was down, bugbear alost down, linkboy nearly dead and orc unconscious. Archer clumsily saved Angel and linkboy. Head footsteps go upstairs and chased invisible Chandaru and even hit him with a arrow as he fled. He heard spell casters arguing but loaded up donkey cart with wounded and fled to pub down the road.

Over days party recovered. Went to city and university to find Chandaru's records. Bribed school with secrets of making goat men and identified wizard as Malathas the Transmogrifier. Went to gatehouse reported Chandaru now a murderer and his warrant and bounty were increased to 250gp. Went to visit Chandaru's mother in the wanabee new rich district and she rewarded them with news her son was wanted. She was sure she could help him and thanked party. Then visited his master who reluctantly let them see Chandaru's research into three houses and dungeon he had done a few weeks ago.

One house was the one they had just fled. So Angel released she orc Olga from her care to Archer who was married to her to be his follower. Then Angel recruited another she orc from same order and 8 man orcs to be troops. Recruited male priest also. Linkboy after recovery went to dodgy necromancer and was aged 5 years and is now a rogue, specializing in dungeons. Angel got 600gp worth of healing potions.

Party went off to woods. First run down cottage had a annoying bard who desperately wanted a audience to test poems on and they conned him to joining them. Next house was a folorn grim two story necromancer house. Spoke to aprentice and then master sent out a specialized zombie mouthpiece. Said he disliked Chandaru but offered rewards for any necromantic relics uncovered and offered other services.

Party went into hills beyond forest following ridge up to secret valley by dusk. Area stunk of rotten flesh. Archer scouted ahead and saw a hobgoblin slaughterer house. While some had breakfast others were herding and killing pigs with hammers. Beyond them was dungeon with great stone arch with carved angels in rocks.

Archer signalled others and began to sneak about killing hobgoblins. Killed a woodcutter. Three dungeon door guards and three others chasing a pig. Orcs charged and party clashed with hobgoblins. Archer came from behind and killed more. Party pleased and orcs chasing pigs but one hobgoblin ran into dungeon screaming. As orcs finished him party heard rats which scared orcs.

"'Em's were-rats we cant fite dem!"

So party fled.

A single +1 dagger and shield among party not really worth it.

Through the dread woods by night they heard crackling slurping hissing sounds. Archr went ahead and saw 8 ghouls feasting from a stone crypt. He fired a volley killing one then ran back to party. Orcs not happy but formed a line while missile users killed two more ghouls. Horrors were devestating one paralysed two orcs, one got archer and link boy but party just prevailed. Found nearby cave tomb pouring with copper and silver with some jewellery. In the crypt was a LG sword with empathy and could detect magic. Angel most worthy of it. Party reached bards house. Crowded with orcs and pigs but safe.

Party off to city and silver smith at dawn.

Just wanted to do something handy for my DnD Exiles Campaign or Psychon game or Gamma World or Metamorphosis alpha games or any other d20 fantasy games. Exchange magic or science or psionics or whatever as needed. I could do a more "serious" space one later later.

Exile log: Cleansing of the murder maze of Chondaru

Read Cthulhu Invictus through rapidly, best rpg read ive had in ages. Still don't like Olympian cult history but will write about later. Will get other books tomorrow in local game shop.  Will hunt down BRP Rome book too as sold out locally. Some nob selling a copy second hand for $221.

So a bit of a catch up needed as I'm a session log behind. Now I'm caught up will get back to finishing more redbrick stuff.

Dungeon Crew Company:

A Lawful good lady angelic in
human form most think is a bit elfy. Owns a poorhouse and ladies hostel. Has a priestess friend and a she orc guard.

A good  lady bard. Has a mutant bodyguard and a pet kobold. Owns a townhouse in red light district near merchant town.

A village ranger bowmaster who can shoot point blank range into melee with his pet village idiot who works for hugs. Married very ugly awful butchers daughter and angel's orc guard. Owns a former demon murder house in edge of merchant district. Cheap and a bit mean.

A dark elf psion from underworld who has come to the surface to find lost relics. Has found ancestors cloak. Has a bat familiar and a riding spider. Evil but in a slow sneaky tolerable way. Staying in murder house with ranger and already sexing up hosts aunt in law. Has a drug dealing bugbear chum.

Party has several village lads and a gypsy girl who was going out with archer but he dropped her for sleeping with dark elf.

So gang in dungeon go for dungeon heart. Go to gates of wizards court and start beating on door. Found a common language to talk to gate keeper orc and explained they were going to kill everyone but if orc opened gate and played dead they would spare him and get him a job in city. He opened gate and dived for cover. Party blasted guards with sleep spells and loaded tied bodies onto donkey carts. Battled way into monster barracks fighting kobolds, bugbears and  even a ogre. Another band of 12 beserkers proved to be greatest threat nearly killing whole party. Both sides battled to last few standing and party clerics spent whole time bringing back fallen from near death. Broke through Chandaru's throne room and into his secret living area. Found his empty room and freshly left treasure. Grabbed loot and searched other rooms.

Questioned a kobold and found gypsy girls dad and she murdered him. Found his journal where he hoped to escape dungeon with daughter. Doh!

Found heaps of open chests and scattered change around. Apparently sorcerer fled invisibly with sacks of cash. Double doh!

Gathered up cash and monster prisoners and returned to city to sell monsters and and other dungeon crap like weapons and money. Gained a level.

Spent time in city getting houses set up. Ranger sold murder house furniture made from human body parts to a necromancer who used animate dead to take home. Was stuff the city secret police did not take for their murder museum. Ranger married Angels she orc sidekick explaining to old wife he was a polygamist. She orc Olga said this was fine and she already had two husbands. His human wife brought in her younger brother and aunt in. The dark elf a guest quickly seduced the hideous old woman. Her family were butchers and the whole party were promised discounts and only the good mystery meat.

Angel bought her ladies boarding house and gave mother one tooth a job for life running it as she had before. Deal included house left to church if Angel dies.

Bard developed groupies and on a first lv bard admitted he was really a she and tried to get bard to admit she was a he so they could marry. Bard disappointed her but accepted her as a girlfriend to keep lesser groupies away and invited her into house.

So party met up and had visiting storm priest and tako octopus sorcerer join gang. Priest wanted to see if they were worthy of temple support as monster killers. Tako wanted to loot monsters and explore surface world. While party dining in The Frog's Armpit a messenger lad came and got them to sign document declaring delivered letter had seal intact.

Was a invite to rich town where they had never been in city before. So went to merchant district for new fancy clothes and frocks. Bard got a fancy lute.

Saw a wizard in palanquin carried by orcs turn a pedestrian into a kobold. Another palanquin almost ran party down. At city gates questioned and papers checked by poshest best armed guards ever seen by party. Arrived at house and guards said go by servants entrance. Butler ordered their footwear cleaned but bard and angel both used clean cantrips. Party left pets and idiots and riding spider in barn and entered the fabulously rich house. Led into a room and served wine. Bat familiar of dark elf detected a spyhole watching party from elaborate wood carvings in wall. Twelve orcs burst in and party surprised. Dark elf got a bolt in chest from a heavy crossbow and Bard put most of them with halberds to sleep. Angel had fast draw sword skills and ran up to still standing crossbowmen to hack and taunt them. Following round party mopped up orcs.

Lord Rothsholm came in in fabulously expensive robe with hat and full plate halberdiers. Told them they passed the test and the last party were all killed and corpses picked by kobolds and thrown in river. Party calmed down and ranger offered lordship his family cheap butchery goods which lord said to ask his butler. His problem was two of his sons had graduated and intended to explore island and see the whole city. Party was to protect them and their two friends and one of the servants from harm on these travels for 3000gp for three months. Arranged for 1200 up front. Bard thought dungeons better money but was mentioned being bodyguards safer. Told to discreetly protect lads honour, and virtue from gold diggers and money from con artists. Told lads mostly interested in travel and gorging but they might become interested in other things. Instructed to be discreet and work with servants.

So arrived at the slimy cat inn where lads lived.

Artrurio Rothsholm, Benito Rothsholm with friends Phillipe Dumant and Kazarian Mondale were drinking and eating piles of meat. Others in pub looked like adventurers but closer look they were actors with fake weapons.  Party introduced self. Realised lads were zero level wizards with a cantrip each. They were rich spoilt twits with no idea of danger. Spoke to senior butler who was a spy for dad and they were supposed to protect (other servants expendable). Dark elf impressed them with his arouse cantrip. Angel berated them as losers but they listened to her as she was really hot. Some bullies tried to move party from their table but bard put them to sleep. Dark elf robbed them. Party moved onto another student wizard bard and continued to eat and drink. Ranger was happy to offer his village idiot follower as a taster which he thought was a great job. As got drunk Ranger offered lads trip to brothel he knew only a silver a piece with girls who knew more than one position. Bard slapped her head and talked into a gold piece brothel.

On way one lad vomited all over himself but a clean cantrip took care of that. Brothel didn't want whole party in so most went to pub over road. Tako charmed the madam with a spell and stayed with her. After took lads home and most of party went to bed. During lunch saw a patron vomit black blood and die so Bard relocated lads to her town house for safety. Angel managed to convince lads dungeon trek would be good and said local pub was great. They thought about going later but Angel shamed them and they agreed to leave immediately after some shopping.

Lads were guided to buy adventurer stuff and bought themselves fancy expensive adventuring suits. Amerchant tried to convince party to be exclusive supplier but they were suspicious of deal. Then marched to the the adventurers favorite pub near dungeon. The locals had become well off running around left over dungeon and the lads they had taken on previous treks were now first level fighters. Party hoped the locals had made dungeon safe enough for lads but not too safe. Angel was pleased for locals she permitted into her dungeon she had legal claim on in city office. Band went into dungeon by seldom used tree entry in woods.

Wandered the mostly empty halls and saw some orcs they put to sleep and tied up to sell as slaves. Bard and Angel explained they only sold to slavery as alternative to murder. Dark elf found a secret door they never saw before. Opened into hall with ornamental mirror on wall with constrictor snake draped over. Party shot it and Ranger broke mirror releasing a hell hound. Party fought and managed to over come. In hell hound room was a chest with no lock. Ranger got his simpleton to flip lid with halberd (provoking moans from good party members).

Had a screaming statue that screams is non owner expose to light which of coarse started screaming. Closed it quickly to silence but encounter called for. Elf heard something coming, no doubt had heard the fight and scream. Angel hid her sword behind her back and struck a pose. Rest hid and dark elf saw a hand with mirror pop out from corner in darkness then a surprised thief face. At first thought was party they chased of before with deed to dungeon but it was another party who had heard of dungeon gleanings. Angel told them to come out and face her. They stepped out and began to argue. Angel's legal document stalled them but hot headed ranger shot the fighters and fight was on.

Whole party was wounded, the thieves especially did lots of thrown dagger damage. Luckily the storm priest took down wizard early with silence spell. One of the rich brats fired a spark spell finishing a fighter. When party captured they were stripped and Angel berated them. Party begged to be freed but the team carried them with orcs back to city and locked in basement and sold all their goods. In pub that night one of the brats boasted to tavern friends that he destroyed party with lightning bolt. Party divided out loot and gave rich brats some weapons and they were awfully impressed with profitability of this dungeon business. Questioning adventurers seems sorcerer Chondaru has been giving maps of dungeon to adventurers in city.

Had 5 players this game which was nice. This game was struggling a bit but seems healthy at moment.

Deathrace2000: Skirmish, Riot & Horror

Have still not done my vehicle price lists and sheets yet but coming.

Team was driving to next death race to north when cycle scout ninja girl with thief girl sharing a bike spotted 8 bikes and a 4x4 roadster with a suspicious new paint job.

Sniper climbed on truck roof 300 meters behind into his sandbagged position and decapitated a cycle.

Technically murder by shooting first. Sheriff in his interceptor a bit grumpy but biker scum presence made easier.

He started shooting machine guns at 300 meters. As got closer he took down several and sniper began to shoot up the 4x4 bodywork and destroyed rear windows.

4x4 was a militia vehichle doing merc work on side hired by party enemies. Fired two RPG's which one damaged sherrifs interceptor damaging one of his MGs.

As got closer half bikers wasted and one damaged and dropped back. Sheriff slowed down and hid behind truck.

Ninja girl on bike pulled out her katana and decapitated a biker then turned around to chase rest. Tried to chase others and let theif have a go with her vibrodagger but she missed. So Kurami had to show her how to do it right and decapitated two more cyclists that the theif missed.

4x4 was pretty chewed up and the truck now started firing it's .50 cal turret. Bumped the 4x4 which was burning and two passengers trying to climb outside hit tarmac and were killed instantly.  One other guy held on despite fire and bullets but ninja girl got him. She pulled up to driver to let thief try again and had to finish job again with a fifth decapitating blow.

Damaged arrived in crossroad town of about a thousand with five garages. Lots of gangs declared sanctuary here and a few hundred gangers were partying.

Van driving cyberpsycho friend of party arrived and found other cyber vetran gang to party with. A cyborg nun gang stood out too with guns mounted on their breasts mounts and groin mounts and other strangeness. Mostly in pvc habits with way too many guns. Found gangs were invited and bribed to come here. Sherrif was asked by local law to help out which he agreed to.

Actually a Japanese garden compound of Gentech in town with Yakuza bosses in hiding. Ninja girl, thief and the cyber veteran therapist spent time here. Some old business men tried to hit on Karumi but Yakuza bosses said leave her be as they knew she was a Gentech ninja agent.

Next day more repairs and were told guns fixed and bodywork ready in morning. More gangs arrived. Sheriff with local cops patrolled by gang party squats and all was calm.

After sundown 4 busses came to town and set up camp near showgrounds. Sniper climbed church bell tower to watch. They were a sect of christian pilgrims. Almost 200 and they set up camp and began to sing. Some handed out brochures. Locals all stayed in.

In the Jap enclave Karumi sensed something. She was a lab grown psionic ninja and felt some presence sending agitating waves of chaos emanating from church.

Party cyberpsycho partying lost it and the gang began smashing up house and started on next door. His therapist in the enclave rushed to calm him down.

Sheriff on his way had to stop and talk to gun nuns.

Four local cops pulled up to cybervet party and tried to arrest party cyberpsycho. He cooperated till the got him near car when he flipped knocking one to ground and punching into an others abdomen and started to pull out cop intestines. Ignored pistol fire from cops.

Karumi told every one about christans setting off town some how and she noticed that the happy songs had underlying chant she had hear fragments of in her own temple. Something preternatural was gaining momentum. Sniper shot through leg of preacher from his bell tower. Priest looked at him directly unflinching and he and elders went onto VIP bus.

Therapist arrived at cyberpsycho vet party and calmed his patient. Tried on rest but thy got mad. He kept trying but his parient dragged him and dying cops into van to be stabilized and headed for christian sect camp. Sherrif managed to rile up the nuns and they got into church and started ringing bell in hopes of upsetting the chant. Cyberpsycho and therapist dropped off stabilized cops at hospital.

Meanwhile sniper was climbing down and freaking out about preacher who could ignore .50 cal round and loo him in the eye. As got to ground saw a strange screeching flapping horror come at him with multiple insect like multiple compound eyes. Shit. He wasted it with his assault rifle and bagged it in one of the handy body bags he carried in a 10 pack.

From back of VIP bus a brand new Gentech Interceptor came from back and started shooting lasers at church tower and linked miniguns through the crowd. Karumi knew this car could waste whole party as it was one of her company products. Belltower collapsed and interceptor zoomed of at F1 speed. Cyberpsycho in van flipped again and fired grenaides into christian love in and wanted to chase the preachers interceptor but therapist managed to chill him out.

Nuns helped break up christians with local law and despite some fires and a few crazy gang fights town calmed by morning. Everyone got in repaired vehichles and set off. Sheriff winked at the nuns he spent night with and drove into wasteland with rest of team.

Aparently a dozen towns had been wasted this way of late. Thing in body bag had melted into stinking ichor but took  refrigerated samples. Found ID on Interceptor and church estate in wasteland.

Team kept on the road to first b list death race.
