Carlos Fuentes: Cimetière du Montparnasse #14


The grave of Carlos Fuentes (1928–2012), who died in Mexico, but the date of whose death still wasn't inscribed on his tombstone two months ago. His most famous work is the novel Terra Nostra (1975), for which he was awarded the Rómulo Gallegos prize in 1977. His and Syvia Lemus's son Carlos Fuentes Lemus (1973–99) was a painter and poet who died young because of haemophilia.
