Jean Jules Cornély (1845–1907) was a journalist who works as editor-in-chief for Le Gaulois, Le Clairon and Le Figaro. He also helped in the creation of l'École supérieure de journalisme de Paris, the first school of journalism, in 1899. He appears to have written only one novel: L'Œil du diable (1878).
