Mer-May Monday #3 Featuring Mermaid Seahorse from Lemon Shortbread

Happy Mer-May Monday! I can't believe we are already half way through May! We more weeks left at school and I'll be on holiday for half term! I cannot wait as I am utterly exhausted at the minute! There just isn't enough hours in the day to do everything that needs doing each week unless I spend all my evenings working after a full day at school!

Anyway...this week's mer-may card using these gorgeous digi stamp from Lemon Shortbread. I went for a completely different layout than I would normally do after seeing a similar card on Pinterest, but I admit mine is nowhere near as good as the one I saw (which I then couldn't find again to compare it to!). Oh well, it gave me an excuse to use up some of that mountain of ribbon I have stored everywhere!

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge GDT Post Challenge week 3 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my final GDT post for the Colour Crazy Challenge blog. I have enjoyed being part of this team, but we have a lot of changes coming up at work after half term and until I know how much work that entails, I have decided not to continue my GDT post. Thank you to Ruth and the rest of the team for having me for the last 3 months!

This week the sponsor is Lemon Shortbread and I chose to use the cute Heart Balloon Girl digi stamp for my card. I thought she looked quite thoughtful in the image, so added a thinking of you sentiment. Quite a simple card for me, but I love the colours and how that balloon pops against the sky.

Lemon Shortbread Flowers and Curls Girl

Good morning! My lovely friend Bettina let me know yesterday that Lemon Shortbread are having a DT call and I thought I would apply. I have a few of these digi stamps and they are gorgeous to colour, so I thought why not give it a go. I often play in their challenges and love all the new designs that Vera releases.

I used the stunning Flowers and Curls Girl for my card and I just love all her hair! I went for a pinky-purple colour combo and tried to imitate the flowers from the image using die cuts in the corner of the card. I do love how this one came out, so fingers crossed it's good enough to be chosen!

Bone Fairy by Lemon Shortbread

I have absolutely heaps and heaps and heaps of digi stamps that I have printed but have never coloured, so I am on a bit of a mission to try and use some different ones. This gorgeous fairy is from Lemon Shortbread which I bought months ago and have just left in my digis folder, so out she came for a few challenges today.

If you look closely you can just about make out the Wink of Stella on her wings, which my camera never picks up very well, but it always looks so shimmery in real life. Used quite a few new goodies on this one too - my papers from Michele R Designs, my sentiment stamp and butterfly frame die from Whimsy and my mini fairies dies from Joanna Sheen. (She's got a lot of fab new lacy dies which I just have to have, but have over spent on my crafting budget already this month as I bought the full set of Distress Markers, ready to learn from Tracy Payne!)

This card is for...
One Sweet Challenge to use pastels, lace, ribbon and pearls
Live & Love Crafts Challenge #34 Signs of Spring (It looks like the flowers are just growing in Bone Fairy's garden or she's just picked them all to go on her dress and in her hair LOL)
