All Things Magical and Mythical #124 Featuring Sirena 2 from Mmedell Illustrations

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. This week, I have used an old digi stamp from MMedell Illustrations and I went for a combo I would not normally use - green, coral and purple. A bit out of my comfort zone here but I do kind of like the green and coral together!

I found these patterned papers in my stash as I was looking for some to match the colours and went with these as they were all under the sea themed! I added a few seaweed and coral die cute and a fun sentiment and it was done!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #508 World Book Day

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from the Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is celebrating World Book Day so we would love to see your book or reading related projects. You can use a character from a book, make a bookmark, use an image of a person reading. The list is endless!

I have gone for something a little different, but here's the background first. I read a lot of Urban Fantasy books - think vampires, werewolves, other shapeshifters, fae and of course witches! I have just finished reading Cold Reign by Faith Hunter, which revolves around Jane Yellowrock, a Cherokee shapeshifter, who mostly turns into a mountain lion and works as an Enforcer for the local head vampire. This is a great series if you like stuff like this!

Anyway my card this week uses Witching Hour, a fabulous witch image to show my love for all things Urban Fantasy along with a couple of sentiments from some of my other witch stamp sets.

This card is also for

Something Else on Saturday #144 Featuring Schoolgirl from Tiddly Inks

Good morning and happy Saturday! I do love my Saturdays! Not only do I have no work all weekend, but I get to craft and meet up with my friend for a Costas! I love our fortnightly meet up - it's great that we can do so now!

For today's project, I have made another page for my reading journal  (just one more to go!) using this older digital stamp from Tiddly Inks, Schoolgirl. I love that she is so like me and has a huge pile of books to read! My TBR (To be read) pile is crazy out of control! I have way more books on my kindle than I could possibly read in my lifetime, but I can but try LOL

Again this page is very simple and as flat as possible to keep the journal from being too bulky! The sentiment is one of my favourite reading quotes and come from an older Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps set.

Recipe:

Stamps: Schoolgirl from Tiddly Inks, Priscilla from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Something Else on Saturday #137 Featuring Rebecca Raspberry from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Good morning and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post. I don't generally set myself crafting goals at the beginning of each new year, but I am trying this year to use more of what I already have rather than buying more stamps, more dies and more patterned papers, so I have dug out one of my very first Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sets for today's card.

I don't often use the same stamps more than once. No idea why really as they do cost a fair amount of money so I should do to get the most out of them. I suppose as I have so many now after so many years of card making that I keep trying to use new ones each time. But anyway, I really liked going back and using this older set.

And here is she...so different to the first card I made with her, which you can see here.

All Things Magical and Mythical #19 Featuring Giggle Fairy from Some Odd Girl

Good morning and welcome to my first All Things Magical and Mystical post of 2022! It's back to work for me today for a training day before the children come back to school tomorrow! I hope it's not too intense today! Not sure my holiday brain can take it all just yet! LOL

I had a bit of a sort out of my printed and stamped images over the Christmas holidays and found loads of images that I haven't used, so I am now trying to make my way through some of these older ones as well as all the stamp sets I have yet to use!

This cutie is Giggle Fairy from Some Odd Girl, which is no longer available unfortunately! I went for a red and green combo to go with the apple in her hair (I guess it could be ant rounded fruit, but I chose to make it an apple!).

Scene It Sunday #70 Featuring Shake It Up Polar Bears from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Good morning and happy Sunday - the last one of the month too! For today's card I am using another one of my stamp sets that I have had for years and only used once! No idea why I haven't used it more as it is such a sweet set!

I thought I would make a slimline card for these cuties and then saw the challenge from My Favorite Things to make a mini slimline, meaning the card measures 3 x 6 inches. Not a size I would normally make as it is so tiny compared to my usual 6 inch square cards, but it came out so cute! I love it!

Something Else on Saturday #81 Featuring Reindeer Games from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Good Morning everyone and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. I am now getting into Christmas card making mode, so will be adding loads on here! I always seem to make loads and still never have enough, but I generally don't start them until after my Hallowe'en ones are all done!

I used the adorable Reindeer Games from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, which I have had for ages, but never used! One of my aims this Christmas is to try and use some of the unused stamp sets on my cards! I probably have way more than the time and number of cards allows though! This card was a 5 x 7 inch card and I managed to add the mountains and trees in free hand, which both turned out pretty well in my opinion. I'm by no means a drawer, so doing something like this is usually out of my comfort zone!

LeAnn's World 101 Inspiration post featuring Sabrina

Good morning and welcome to my monthly inspiration post for LeAnn's World 101. This month I picked the gorgeous Sabrina for my card to add to my Hallowe'en card stash! I made her into a fairly wide image, so that I could add her to a DL sized card, but boy did that sky take a while do!

I kept the rest of the card fairly simple and added a few die cut bats and cats (the cats were needed to fit in with the sentiment, which is one of my faves to use for Hallowe'en cards!).

The Paper Shelter Summer Challenge Anything Goes

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for this week's challenge from The Paper Shelter. It is our annual Summer challenge, which means it is an Anything Goes challenge. This challenge will last for 4 weeks to give the DT a summer break and it also means that we won't be commenting on your entries this time.

For my card, I used the adorable The Incantation, which is a fairly new release. I love fairies and this one is just gorgeous and was a delight to colour too. I went for a pink and black combo - one of my faves and instead of colouring the background with Copics, I used my pearlescent chalks and I love the softer, shimmer they give to this image. You can't really see in the photo but I also added some sprakle to her wings and the spell smoke!
