All Things Magical and Mythical #74 Featuring Maria Mariposa from Art by MiRan

Good morning and welcome to today's All Things Magical and Mythical post. I can't believe today is the end of February! This year is flying by! For today's card I thought I would use one of my favourite images from Art by MiRan. I haven't used one of her images for a while. ABM was my first DT years ago and I was really sad when she decided to close the challenge down, but never mind, I still have all these gorgeous images to use!

And here she is in one of my favourite colour combos - aqua, yellow and black. I added lots of layers and lots of butterflies and totally love how this one came out!

Something Else on Saturday Challenge #116 Featuring Blanche Butterfly from Stamping Bella

Good morning and happy Saturday! For today's Something Else on Saturday Challenge, I thought I would go for a really bright, rainbow filled card using the adorable Blanche Butterfly from Stamping Bella. I have used her before and did her in all purples, but thought it would be fun to do a multicoloured colouring and I have to say I just LOVE it! It's very bright, but with the added touches of black, she really does pop.

The challenge was though to find some papers that enhanced but not overpowered her, but I'm not sure I managed that as these patterned papers from Whimsy Stamps and Stampin' Up are all so bright! But I love rainbows so just love these all as well!

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Blanche Butterfly & Rainbow Tiny Townie both from Stamping Bella

Papers: Purple Posy, Basic Black & Quatrefancy Speciality DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Rainbow Patterned Papers from Whimsy Stamps, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

You Are Toadally Awesome

Good morning and welcome to today's post. I am "toadally" in love with Hello Bluebird Stamps at the minute and only have a few sets, so will be using them loads and loads over the next few weeks. I've been getting them from Menny's Bastelshop in Germany, but they have run out of all the sets on my wish list at the minute, so I am hoping they will be back in stock soon!

Today's card uses the cute set Garden Friends, which consists of birds and frogs mostly, so I made a tall DL sized card with one of the frogs sitting on his toadstool by the pond! Lots of fussy cutting out here as I find it easy to plan my cards that way than stamping and making lots of mistakes with masking (which I suck at!).

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Garden Friends from Hello Bluebird

Papers: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi(Retired) & Tempting Turquoise (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty, Card Blank from Anita's

Fantasy Fridays #1 Blanche the Butterfly

Good evening! As I love all things fantasy related I have decided to attempt to do a weekly post using some of the fantasy stamps that i own. Now that I have dropped some of the design teams I was on I have a bit more free crafting time, so I can finally make use of them all rather than sitting unopened in their packets!

This week I have made a birthday card for my very best friend Michele, who loves all things purple. She has now received this card, so I can show it without worrying about her seeing it! I added lots of sparkle to this one with my Stickles and used some of the butterflies from the border punch as little accents in the corners too.

It's not the best photo as I was in a rush to take it before heading out to meet the birthday girl for a coffee and cake date!

This card is also for

Recipe:

Stamps: Blanche the Butterfly from Stamping Bella, Fairy Tale Mermaid from Clearly Besotted

Papers: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Whisper White, Brights DSP & Subtles DSP all from Stampin' Up, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place

Ching-Chou Kuik Last Inspiration Post with Aloha, Lady

Good morning and welcome to my final post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog team. I have decided to step down from this design team, partly because my mojo is not what it used to be and partly because I feel I need a bit of a break from design team crafting, which in turn adds extra pressure at times to create, which again can make me lose that mojo!

I have been part of the team for almost 4 years now and have loved being part of it. The images are just gorgeous and I know I will always use them in my crafting. I would like to just say a huge thank you to Ching-Chou and to Kym for being fabulous ladies to work with! Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Little Daisy

Good Morning and welcome to this week's inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps. This week I have chosen to use the gorgeous Little Daisy.

The DT were challenged to use buttons on their projects this week and initially I used the yellow buttons in the middle of the rose trim, but they looked a bit like fried eggs! So I moved them to the butterflies and they look a bit better! I just didn't want to add buttons on the edges of the card, where I would normally add gems or pearls.

This card is also for

Faery Ink Inspiration Post - Demera Spring Breeze Fae

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink today! I have used the gorgeous Demera Spring Breeze Fae, which was the One Day Fae Giveaway for last month. If you didn't manage to get her for free, you will be able to buy her here in the store shortly.

I used the light lines version of her, which I always find more tricky to colour, but I love the effect of the no lines colouring! I went with nice, bright Spring colours and added a few flowers and butterfly dies, The butterfly in her hair was a much needed cover up as my new Wink of Stella pen blobbed on her hair! Grrr! Butterflies are a fab way to cover up those kind of mistakes!

This card is also for

Ching-Chou Kuik March Challenge - Spring or Easter

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month our challenge is Spring or Easter and I chose to use the gorgeous Girl In Spring for my card.

I actually coloured her up with some particular patterned papers in mind and then when I went to make the card, the colours didn't match at all LOL. Faery Ink Birthday Fae Arielle Bringing In The Spring

Good Morning and welcome to another of my inspiration posts for Faery Ink. I thought I would go for something bright and beautiful to bring on some Springtime sunshine. We have had a week of snow here in the UK - the so-called Beast from the East - and I am desperate for some sunshine now! The snow has more or less gone where I live, but it is still really cold, wet and windy!

I used the gorgeous Birthday Fae Arielle and used the bonus image you get when you purchase this one. Without her balloons she can be used for any occasion! Isn't she just adorable?

I used some old Spring patterned papers from Lemon Craft with the matching ribbon and flowers as well and this colour combo has definitely cheered me up!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - So Long

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I am using the gorgeous So Long and went for one of my favourite colour combos to make a sweet thank you cards ready for all those people who need a thank you after Christmas.

The DT were challenged to add buttons to their projects this week and I dug out some old retired Stampin' Up ones. Buttons are not a thing I generally use on my cards unless it's for a masculine card, but I do like these little flower shaped ones. Shame I don't have many left and they are retired now too.
