All Things Magical and Mythical #31 Featuring Cinderella from Molly Harrison

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mystical post. To me, the original fairytales are the most magical stories around - as a child they filled me with wonder and I loved them so much. I still do love them and often try to get my class to read or listen to them at school.

I have had this digi stamp from Molly Harrison for ages, so thought it was time to colour her up, but then decided I didn't want to add her to a card, so I went with creating a page in my quotes journal, which I haven't done for absolutely ages! I created my own background paper just by stamping lots of different shoe stamps in various shades of blue and adding one of my favourite quotes!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cinderella from Molly Harrison, Fashion from Joy Crafts

Papers: Pacific Point & Soft Sky (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

The Paper Shelter Challenge #502 Fancy Fold Cards

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is for your to make a fancy fold card. There's so many different designs that you could use, it'll be more challenging choosing just one!

I wanted to go for a fancy fold design that I hadn't used before and came across this one on Pinterest called a Pop Up Front Step Panel card and it was really simple to make! Basically there is a folded box at the front and then another panel attached to that box and the back panel and even better it all folds down flat for putting into an envelope!

I used the gorgeous On Air! for this one and added lots of polka dot patterned papers to match her dress too!

And this is the view from the side, so you can see all the pop up panels a bit better...

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: On Air from The Paper Shelter, Dance To The Music from Joy Crafts

LeAnn's World 101 Challenge #39 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from LeAnn's World 101. As always our challenges are anything goes, but if you use one of the image from LeAnn's store then you will be entered twice into the prize draw. Why not pop over and have a look at all the newly released digi stamps and treat yourself to one or two?!

For my card I used the sweet Georgia Ann and used my patterned papers for my colour combo for a change, rather than colouring the image and then finding papers to match!

This card is also for
As You Like It Challenge CAS or Fully Fancy (I love adding layers and embellishments to my card - not a fan of lots of white space in a CAS card as it just looks too empty for me!)

Recipe:

Something Else on Saturday #77 Featuring Esmie the Gypsy from Cute As A Button

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post (which is now live and not left in draft mode! Ooops!), I am trying to enter the Cute As A Button Progressive Challeng on Facebook each month again and this was my entry for September's challenge using Esmie the Gypsy. I love this image and went for lots of bright colours, like the carnival from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.

To add to the element of her being a character from Paris, I added an Eiffel Tower die cut from La-La Land Crafts, which I don't get to use very often! I absolutely love Pairs but haven't been since my 40th birthday five years ago now. I so want to go back again and maybe I can convince my other half to go up the Eiffel Tower next time - he's not a fan of heights!

Something Else on Saturday #18 Featuring Wryn's Glasses from Tiddly Inks

Good morning and welcome to my post for this week's Something Else on Saturday feature! I am really enjoying doing these posts at the minute as I am using loads of different stamps, both rubber and digi, that I haven't used before! A great way to make sure I do actually use them!

This week I went a bit nautical and coloured Wryn's Glasses form Tiddly Inks in a blue and white sailor dress. I used my Seashore patterned papers and sentiment stamps, but I just couldn't find any embellishments at all in my stash. Nautical is not a theme I usually do, so I doubt I have any anywhere anyway!

Delicious Doodles July Challenge - Beside The Sea

Good Morning everyone! I am a complete nonce! I had my dates completely mixed up this month and thought that July 1st was tomorrow, not today. I only realised on Thursday, so rushed to get my card done in time for the new challenge this month. I just wish I didn't work full time, so I could craft more often during the week, as by the time I get home from work I am usually too shattered to do anything!

Anyway onto the challenge and my card. This month our challenge at Delicious Doodles is called Beside The Sea, so we would love to see your seaside, beach, mermaids, sea animals or anything else sea themed! Sherri Baldy New Release My Besties Beauty

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new release from Sherri Baldy this month. This gorgeous image is My Besties Beauty and totally reminded me of Cinderella running away from the ball, so I coloured her up in a traditional Disney blue dress and used my Cinderella quote which I have been dying to use ever since I bought this stamp set. My camera didn't pick it up but her dress is actually covered in lots of sparkly dots which really shimmer in real life!

Art By MiRan Goodbye Post

Good evening everyone. It is with a very sad heart that I have to write this post! Mi Ran has decided to take a break from her Art by MiRan digital stamp work to concentrate on other projects and has therefore decided to close both the Art by MiRan Facebook group and the Art by MiRan blogs.

I have been part of the Facebook team from the beginning, when it was just me on my own-some and started hosting the monthly challenges. Together with Jackie, we also started the Progressive Challenge which has just completed its 2nd year. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this team and seeing it grow from just a couple of entries to almost 30 every month. Some of you lovely ladies have joined in every month and I really do enjoy seeing what you create with the gorgeous images every month.

So I now give a huge thank you to Mi Ran for inviting me for joining her team over 2 years ago, to Jackie Randolph for helping me learn the ropes as the Facebook Team Coordinator, to Bonnie, Liz, Melanie, Pauline, Gloria and Silvia for being part of the team, to the rest of the Art by MiRan Design Team for being fabulous friends and to all our guest designers and challenge entrants for making the last two years or so an absolute blast!

Here is my final card as a goodbye and thank you. This card is dedicated to everyone I mentioned, but mostly to Mi Ran for her friendship, love and faith in me! I will so miss being part of your team, Mi Ran, but I know I have made such a fabulous friend in you and we will always stay in touch! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

The East Wind Challenge #67 Oh So Shapely

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The East Wind. This time our challenge is called Oh So Shapely, so we would love to see your shaped projects or you can use a shapely image.

I used the gorgeous Aurora Reindeer and my snowglobe Dutch Doobadoo Card Art Template to make this wintery Christmas card. You can't really tell in the photo but the white paper is actually glitter paper and all the sparkle looks really pretty in real life. I added lots of white gesso around all the edges as well to act as snow.
