Cute As A Button Challenge #64 Cheers To You

Good morning and Happy New Year. I hope 2021 will be a great year for you all! Today is also the start of a new challenge from Cute As A Button and our theme this month is called Cheers To You!

I chose to use the stunning Happy New Year - Martinellis image for my card and just had to colour her up in a sparkly red dress and glittery shoes too! If only we had a bottle of champers that big! After last year I feel I could do with one, but I'm not a fan of sparkling wine to be honest!

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT inspiration post for Cute As A Button. I thought I would use one of the gorgeous Christmas images for my card this month and chose Candy Cane Fairy, who is just adorable, sleeping on the giant candy cane.

Cute As A Button Challenge #63 Anything Goes With A Bow

Good morning everyone and Happy December! Welcome to my DT post for this month new challenge from Cute As A Button. Our challenge this time is Anything Goes with a bow - easy one right! I love adding bows to my cards, although I think I have been lacking bows recently! Time to fix that!

My first Inspiration Post for Cute As A Button

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post today for a new team I have just joined. I was asked by the lovely Sherry and Francesca if I would join the Cute As A Button DT and as I love these images I jumped at the opportunity! For my first inspiration post, I chose to use the adorable Miss Frosty which you can purchase from the store.

I decided to keep her mostly white as she was dressed in her snowman (or should that be snowwoman ?) outfit, with touches of red for the trimmings and tried to find papers in similar colours. With every layer being red, it was too much though, so I added the aqua snowflakes paper and it really pops out against all the red.

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Miss Frosty from Cute As A Button

Papers: Real Red, Whisper White & Let It Snow DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Something Else on Saturday #79 Featuring Past Midnight from Cute As A Button

Good morning and welcome back to my regular Something Else on Saturday post after my 13 Days of Hallowe'en, which I had loads of fun doing! Today's card is actually my card for the Cute As A Button Progressive Challenge in their Facebook group, but I didn't get chance to blog it until now.

This adorable Cinderella inspired digi is called Past Midnight and I just love the expression on her face when she realises she has turned back from the princess outfit into her usual dirty and dusty ragged clothing! I went for a brown colour combo on her clothes and then pulled out these old retired papers from Stampin' Up which went really well!

Something Else on Saturday #77 Featuring Esmie the Gypsy from Cute As A Button

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post (which is now live and not left in draft mode! Ooops!), I am trying to enter the Cute As A Button Progressive Challeng on Facebook each month again and this was my entry for September's challenge using Esmie the Gypsy. I love this image and went for lots of bright colours, like the carnival from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.

To add to the element of her being a character from Paris, I added an Eiffel Tower die cut from La-La Land Crafts, which I don't get to use very often! I absolutely love Pairs but haven't been since my 40th birthday five years ago now. I so want to go back again and maybe I can convince my other half to go up the Eiffel Tower next time - he's not a fan of heights!

This card is for

Scene it Sunday #13 Featuring Caveman Summer BBQ from Cute As A Button

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post! I keep forgetting to enter the Cute As A Button Facebook challenges, so made an effort to do mine this month using this cute caveman! He looked a bit lost though, so I thought I would colour a scene around him and even though it's not perfect, I think it came out pretty good! Especially for someone who cannot draw to save their life!

The sentiment came from the Polkadoodles Sticks and Bones Collection and fitted with this image brilliantly!

Cute As A Button Pierrot Clown

Good morning and welcome to a random post from me for today. I have joined in with the Cute As A Button Facebook Challenge this month using the adorable Pierrot Clown image. I loved Pierrot as a kid and had the whole bedroom suite - wallpaper, curtains, duvet set, lampshade, the china dolls, some canvas prints my aunt bought me for my birthday. it kind of looked like this (not my photo as I haven't got any, although my mum might have in her photo albums!). How I loved it!

So anyway...onto the card. I used similar colours for my digi stamp and kept to more of a pink, white and black combo. Isn't she just adorable though?!

Beautiful Bride

I have gotten so behind in sharing my cards on here and on my Facebook page! No excuse really other than work has been really busy with it being the end of year - loads more paperwork at the end of the school year - and my laptop power pack blew up, literally with sparks all over, so it was out of action for a few days until I could get a new one delivered. I tell you these are not cheap - almost £100 for one from Dell! Luckily the other one was only 2 months old, so I will get a refund on that one.

Anyway here is a card I made for the Cute As A Button June Progressive Challenge (yep it's that late!), but I never got round to posting it in time for the challenge. My TA is getting married this summer (and is leaving as her husband to be has got a new job in Reading), so I made her this huge card for everyone to sign. It certainly was a labour of love and with the box, it took me 5 hours in total! So much trial and error for the size of the card and box, but it did come out pretty in the end!

And here's the lid - a lot plainer than the actual card, but I had run out of steam by the time I got to this part!

This card is for
