Golden Rose ~ Color Expert #31

Golden Rose ~ Color Expert #31
Dark purple shimmer

Today I wanted to try polishes I bought on my latest vacation in Poland.

I used two easy coats of Golden Rose #31. The drying time is good. When it was dry I made dots diagonally on my nails with W7’s white polish called “White”. Then I made purple dots in the middle of the white dots with the Golden Rose.

When it was all dry, I applied a layer of Wibo’s effect polish “Strobing Nail Polish #1” – it’s a strong pink shimmer.

This is my final manicure photographed in the sun.

Here’s two coats of the Golden Rose with a layer of topcoat over. It’s a really pretty purple.

Beauty Big Bang nail stickers

Beauty Big Bang nail stickers

Today I'm wearing nail stickers. They come on a sheet with 108 stickers. The stickers look like this:

I was curious about the stickers because nails aren’t one size. I have relatively small and short nails so I was prepared to do a lot of trimming of the stickers. It wasn’t as bad as expected though.

I painted my nails and when the polish was dry, I applied the stickers one by one. They almost fit in the width but they were way too long for my nails.

Let me show you the final result, including topcoat:

The stickers were easy to lift off the sheet and also easy to place. So far, so good.

They tended to wrinkle a bit though, which especially shows on my ring finger. Another layer of topcoat didn’t solve the problem.

Another thing was the trimming. I didn’t trim the first sticker to size. I thought I would dissolve the excess sticker with acetone but that didn’t work at all! I had to trim it down with a pair of scissors while it was on the nail, which definitely isn’t easy. Tip: Trim to size before you place it on the nail!

Celestial ~ Poipu Sunset

Celestial ~ Poipu Sunset
Pink linear holo

Today I’m wearing pink! Poipu Sunset is a beautiful pink and is also a Facebook group custom. It’s On the way to Onomea Bay’s sister. Click here to see her, she’s a beautiful green!

The formula is really good like I’m used to with Celestial by now. I used two coats for my mani and the drying time is good too, no issues to report at all.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken with flash:

I also like the colour in lower lights. The pink is dark enough to work for me, yay!

I dapped on a bit of purple textured shimmery polish that I received in a swap with sweet Joanne. Then I stamped on it, using my super cool Gogo Only stamping plate that another sweet girl sent me, namely Carolyn! The name of the stamping plate is St. Happy. Perfect name too.

Here’s the final result:

One of the downside of having small nails is that some motifs are meant for big nails, and then it gets hard to see what it really is. This motif is of hearts. It’s easiest to tell by looking at the middle finger.

Here are the two polishes I used.

Let me just take this opportunity to send out happy thoughts and thanks to all the girls from all over the world that I’ve swapped with during the last years. I really appreciate the fact that I can enjoy things and polishes from all over the world.

Poipu Sunset was limited edition and is no longer available.
