Colors by Llarowe ~ Who Needs Love!

Colors by Llarowe ~ Who Needs Love!
Described as blackened fuchsia red intense linear holo with blue flame

There’s something oddly funny about colour descriptions. This polish is described as blackened fuchsia red. I honestly wouldn’t know what colour that was if I didn’t actually have the bottle of polish myself. To me this polish is purple with a blue and red flame. But it’s a pretty polish no matter how you describe it.

The formula is good too. I used two coats for my manicure. I think it’s possible to get away with just one single coat but that’s not how I roll.

I made this into a dry brush manicure. I usually do those on a white or other light colour background but I wanted to see what I could get out of playing with a dark background.

I used two colours for the brush strokes. A silver from Betty Boop called “Diva” and a hot pink from Lemonade Lacquer called “Going Bananas”.

This is what my manicure ended up looking like in the sunshine.

Here’s what that looks like in the light box. I think these colours look great together.

And this is “Who Needs Love” on its own; two coats and no topcoat. Purple it is ;)

H & M ~ Moonchild

H & M ~ Moonchild
Sky blue shimmer with a pink sheen

I always check out the polish racks when I’m in H & M because they have some really pretty polishes. I discovered Moonchild last time I was there and knew that it had to come home with me. It’s a lovely shimmer with a beautiful pink sheen – the pinkness doesn’t really show on the nails thought, but never mind.

I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time was good.

I made pink zebra-ish stripes on it with Lemonade Lacquer’s “Going Bananas”. I topped the whole thing with El Corazón’s holo flakie topper 421h/25.

This is my manicure in ordinary daylight, no flash or sun.

And here is Moonchild on its own; two coats and no topcoat. The photo is taken in ordinary daylight. Isn’t it just a lovely shimmer?

Lemonade Lacquer ~ Going Bananas & Serum No. 5 ~ Orange You Sunny

Lemonade Lacquer ~ Going Bananas & Serum No. 5 ~ Orange You Sunny
Pink shimmer & Orange crelly that glows in the dark

I bought today’s polishes in a blog sale recently and decided that they would look perfect together. I painted my nails with two coats of each polish. I made dots on two nails (well three actually but you can’t see my thumb) and stripes on two nails. The white I used was OPI’s “Angel with a Leadfoot”.

Here’s my final and very happy manicure.

Lemonade Lacquer: Going Bananas; Serum No. 5: Orange You Sunny; OPI: Angel with a Leadfoot

Aren’t these polishes just perfect together?

Here are the polishes. The pink was perfect; it covered in two easy and fast drying coats. The orange is really weird. The formula is gloopy and it smells odd too. It did cover in two coats but the drying time was slow. Not the best polish I have for sure. It glows in the dark though, but I didn’t know how to actually photograph that, haha!

I love this: the colours, the brightness, the festivity!
