CND Creative Play ~ Miss Purplearity

CND Creative Play ~ Miss Purplearity
Dark purple packed with metallic silver shimmer

Today’s polish is a pretty purple one from CND Creative Play. I have mixed experiences with their polishes; I’ve tried a few that were pretty sheer. Miss Purplearity isn’t sheer – she builds up in two easy and relatively fast drying coats.

I sponged glitter by the base of each nail. I first used a silver/holo glitter from Salon Perfect called “Silver Sparkler”, and then a magenta microglitter, also from Salon Perfect – it’s called “Plumeria”.

I sealed the whole thing up with topcoat and this is my final manicure.

I love the mix of silver and magenta glitter.

This is Miss Purplearity on its own. Two coats and no topcoat yet.

These are the three polish sisters I used today.

This CND polish is really nice, I like it.

Moyra ~ #09 from the Vamp collection

Moyra ~ #09 from the Vamp collection
Cherry red with silver shimmer

I found this gem of a polish in a hidden corner. I bought it on a vacation in Hungary and I can’t believe I haven’t worn it before now.

The formula is good and really easy to work with. It also covers well, I believe that it can be used for stamping as well. I applied two coats out of habit and the drying time is good.

This is what two coats and no topcoat looks like in ordinary daylight:

I took this picture in the lightbox to show off the silver shimmer. There’s so much of it that the polish gets a metallic look.

I dapped some silver/holo glitter by the base of each nail. I used Salon Perfect’s Silver Sparkler for that. Then I stamped a flowery design on top of it all. I found it on plate Marianne-Nails No. 119 and I stamped with a black stamping polish.

Here’s what it ended up looking like.

I like the look of the stamp over the glitter.

Here are the two polishes.

There were more Moyra polishes in the hidden corner; many pretties that want to be worn :D

Darling Diva ~ I hate Pink

Darling Diva ~ I hate Pink
Pink linear holo packed with shimmer

I hate Pink is from the I Hate Pink-collection from summer 2014.

The formula is good and the polish builds up in two coats. The drying time is really good.

Here’s what it looks like with flash. Note the hand pose – I saw a girl use this pose and I liked it. But after seeing the pictures I have to admit that I liked it much better on her pictures, haha!

There’s so much shimmer in it that it almost looks metallic in lower lights.

I fucked up my nail art again *sigh*. I made dark blue dots by the base of each nail with another Darling Diva: Early Riser. When the first hand was done I checked it out and I really didn’t like it. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to redo my nails, so I thought I’d cover the fail up with glitter. If everything else fails: Use glitter! :D I used Salon Perfect’s Silver Sparkler, which is a topper I really like, and tried to cover up the stupid dots I made.

Here’s the final result:

The pretty polishes:

I hate Pink is a tad too baby pink for me, but it works when I mix it with darker and bolder colours.
