... Great castle view with a gleaming white facade... a four-winged building showcasing distinctive Renaissance and Baroque styles located on a slight hill in the middle of the Palace park... Celle Castle with its Residenz museum is one of the most beautiful castles of the Royal House of Hanover in Germany... this is also a bit special postcard😊... there are seven Christmas post offices in Germany ... thanks to postcard friend Dustin I got now one of each... he started sending them in 2017 and with this lovely angel "Himmelpfort"💖 postmark I've got them➞➞ ALL ⬅⬅! Big thanks Dustin!!(✿◠‿◠)

Celle Castle was built around 980 as a fortified tower with the attributes of a water castle. Otto the Strict continued developing the building in 1292. Remnants of this era are the cellar vault and the lower floors of the watch tower.The current Celle Castle has its first documented mentioning as “Castrum Celle” in 1315.(

... Sweet, wonderful postcard💚...  forest animals posting letters✉️ and bringing gifts🎁 to the postoffice... with great special "Himmelpfort"💖 postmark... the community of Himmelpforten is Christkinddorf... countless children suspect that the address "Himmelpforten" is Santa's residence and have been sending him their wish lists here for more than 50 years... but it's not just Santa Claus who lives there... GERMANY ~ Hildesheim Christmas Market ~

.... Wonderful picturesque view of snow-topped❄️ lodges and glowing market stalls at Hildesheim Christmas Market🎄... German Christmas markets are known for being among the best in the world✨... every year around 60 beautifully decorated stands turn this classic historic town into a festive spirit... located on the market square in the centre of the town... its backdrop is the impressive facade of the Knochenhaueramtshaus, a former butchers' guildhouse... the market has plenty of huge Christmas trees illuminated with fairy lights... the largest tree is over 10 metres tall and is decorated with more than 7,500 LED lights🎄... the Christmas spirit is very much present with the sounds, aromas and not least flavours... with a beautiful cute cartoon Christmas stamp and special postmark😍... Germany’s very first children's Christmas post office was opened in Himmelsthür in 1967 a district in the town of Hildesheim... Thanks so much Dustin!!💖💖💖

Hildesheim  is a city in Lower Saxony on the Innerste River in the foothills of the Harz Mountains and is one of the oldest cities in Northern Germany.

Himmelsthür is a district of the Lower Saxony district town of Hildesheim with around 6,700 inhabitants.

.. Today a lovely🎄 humorous Christmas greetings⭐✨card with sweet illustration... parcel service by Santa and one of is reindeers🤶🦌 ... designed by Henrike Wilson... I"m really fond of these series season's greetings card... received already a few of them thanks to dear postcard friend Dustin and they always make me giggle... with matching Christmas stamp and most wonderful Santa Claus "Himmelpfort"💖 postmark... Santa Claus will move into his Christmas post office in Himmelpfort on November 14... there he answered children's letters from all over the world with 20 helpers until Christmas Eve...Thanks a lot Dustin... Merry Christmas and a very happy 2020 to you and your family🎆 ... hope many postcards will come your way too... 💖💝💖

Henrike Wilson, born in Cologne in 1961, studied graphic design and painting there and in the USA. Today she lives as a freelance illustrator in Berlin. She painted the picture books of Little Santa Claus, the sheep Charlotte and the little witch.

Henrike Wilson also illustrated books by Rafik Schami, Jostein Gaarder and David Grossman for Hanser.

GERMANY ~ Christmas Greetings - Rüdiger's nicest Christmas present ~

... Today a lovely bit unusual🤶 🎄 greetings card ⭐✨... great combination of humor, satire and cartoon... I like it and made me giggle... just look at Santa😉... with matching Christmas stamp and sweet Santa Claus postmark... Germany has seven Santa Claus post offices... this year I got one from Engelskirchen... in this small town thousands of letters from around the world arrive at a seasonal Christmas post office... and for over 20 years, postal workers have written back... it will take a while but I hope to collect a postmark each year of all these Santa's post offices (will be in 2023!!)... Thanks a lot Dustin... Merry Christmas to you and your family too!!💖

The artist Rolf Tiemann was born in 1951 in Herford. After graduation he studied mathematics and physics and was from 1981 as a teacher of mathematics and computer science at the Gymnasium active.

From the mid-nineties Rolf Tiemann worked as an illustrator of prose texts.

Since 2014, the now retired teacher Rolf Tiemann works in his studio in Münster as a freelance artist. His current oil paintings, which can be assigned to the genre of comic art and  he writes and illustrates his own satirical texts

... Today another great 🤶 🦌🎄 greetings card⛄ ⭐✨... comic art and critical drawing... but I love it and made me smileʘ͜͡ʘ... maybe we all should eat a *vegetarian* Christmas meal???(~_^)... with matching stamps and beautiful special postmark of the Nicholas post office at St. Nikolaus.... since 1966, there has been a special Christmas post office which replies to children's letters during the Advent season....
