UK ~ Paddington Bear - London ~

... Postcard nr 2 of the sweetest and most adorable teddy bear ever with his big floppy hat and duffel coat❤️😊❤️... Paddington in Trafalgar Square... also bought at Paddington Station👍... (Paddington Station is one of London's oldest stations serving the western areas of the country)... because at this station he was found by Mr. and Mrs. Brown when he arrived in London and of course it is also the reason he got his name... besides being a train station it's now a favorite tourist stop... to commemorate this there is a life-sized bronze statue of Paddington... Thanks so much Ron for another cute surprise and thinking of me while passing the Paddington Bearshop at the station! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

"Paddington decided he rather like living in London"

Written in 1958 by British author Michael Bond, "Bear Paddington" is a children's novel about a lovely bear. Sequels and picture books have also been published, and more than 30 million copies have been published to date.

It still has many fans all over the world. He likes new things and is full of curiosity. A very polite bear with a warm heart. Due to his strong sense of justice, he often gets into trouble, but he will do his best to make the right decisions regardless of the difficulties. Overcoming unexpected misunderstandings and failures and spreading laughter, such a figure creates empathy for people around the world and continues to be loved.

UK ~ Paddington Bear - Paddington Station - London ~

... Probably the sweetest and most adorable bear postcard ever❤️😊❤️... Paddington bear sitting on his battered, brown suitcase with his old hat, blue duffel coat and only a jar of marmalade in Paddington Station... it was here where this polite bear first arrived from deepest, darkest Peru and a very important place for him... because at this station he was found by Mr. and Mrs. Brown when he arrived in London and of course it is also the reason he got his name... and what makes this cute postcard even more special for me??? knowing that it was bought at Paddington Station itself... (Paddington Station is one of London's oldest stations serving the western areas of the country)... besides being a train station it's now a favorite tourist stop... to commemorate this there is a life-sized bronze statue of Paddington here... Thanks so much B. Hester for this wonderful surprise! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ) ( hope my postcard will arrive safely because your handwriting was not so clear😉)

"The bear was sitting on some kind of suitcase and around its neck was a label which read:
Please look after this bear. Thank You."

Paddingtin bear is a creation of British author Michael Bond in the childrens book ‘A Bear called Paddington’ which was first published in 1958. He has been featured in more than twenty books written by the author, and illustrated by Peggy Fortnum and other artists.

"Michael Bond  bought a small toy bear on Christmas Eve 1956. I saw it left on a shelf in a London store and felt sorry for it. I took it home as a present for my wife Brenda and named it Paddington as we were living near Paddington Station at the time. I wrote some stories about the bear, more for fun than with the idea of having them published. After ten days I found that I had a book on my hands. It wasn’t written specifically for children, but I think I put into it the kind things I liked reading about when I was young."

The classic tales of Paddington Bear have captured the imagination of the young and young at heart across the globe, selling more than 30 million books worldwide.
