...Colorful postcard and stamps designs... issued by Guernsey Post in celebration of the 11th birthday of Postcrossing (2016), a global hobby that involves sending and receiving postcards around the world... there is also a set of related products along with the stamp... including first day covers and maxicards... the two stamps have been created by Sue Hamon of Guernsey Post: the European Postcrossing stamp depicts the waters around Guernsey, which offer a unique haven for all types of wildlife including a wide variety of seabirds accompanied in the waves by Atlantic grey seals and visiting dolphins... the stamp for worldwide illustrated the island’s rich horticultural history and abundance of beautiful flora, fauna and natural wildlife... and I got both of them on this postcard👍... Thanks a lot Dustin!【ツ】

GUERNSEY ~ Castle Cornet - St. Peters Port ~
... It took over 5 years to get my third postcard ever from this Channel Island... great view of one of the island's top attractions... an imposing looking castle with a history that dates back to the early 1200's... Castle Cornet has guarded the harbor for 800 years... from the castle you have amazing views of the surrounding islands... it was the scene of sieges, intrigue and, most recently, German occupation during WWII... the "Noon-day gun" is a popular and impressive site here... a cannon is fired from the castle daily at midday when it is open to the public staged by soldiers in 19thC costumes... Guernsey also has its own stamps (all 3 stamps used are EUROPA ones👍)... Thanks a lot Jannick!!【ツ】
Castle Cornet is Guernsey’s ancient harbour fortress, which was isolated upon a rocky islet until the construction of a breakwater and bridge in the 19th century. Today, the Castle features five fascinating museums which tell the story of Guernsey’s military and maritime history, and four well-researched “period” gardens.
The island measures about two hectares in area, with a length of 175 metres and a width of 130 metres. It lies about 600m east of the coast of Guernsey.
Stamps:
EUROPA Stamps - Landscapes
(Issued 17-05-1977)
EUROPA Stamps - Famous People
(Issued 06-05-1980)
EUROPA Stamps - Musical Instruments (Issued 08-05-2014)

GUERNSEY ~Sark~
Yeaaah!!! It's been a while but today I received another new place for my collection... A great nature view of Sark, an island near to Guersney.
No cars are allowed, not many people, just beauty, peace and quiet... Must be a wonderful holiday destination! :-)
Normally I thank everyone who sent me a card personnaly but I really don't know from whom this card is.... So a BIG THANKS from here!!^__^
Guernsey also has its own stamps and currency
Step back in time in beautiful Sark. Traffic-free and overflowing with natural beauty, the island is easily reached by ferry from Guernsey.
Stunning coastal views and a picturesque rural interior are best experienced either on foot or by bicycle (available for rent on the island). The journey from Guernsey to Sark by boat is a distance of 9 miles and takes approximately 45 minutes.
