Snow Kisses

Good morning all!
As some of you already know, I was lucky enough to be chosen
as a Guest Designer for Scribbles Designs.
They have some great images which you can check out here!
There are lots of Friday Freebies too, which gives you another great reason to visit!

I'm a sucker for snowmen & I had to get started on my Christmas cards,
so, I made a little White On White Christmas card using -

The card base is 6"x6" Centura Pearl cardstock & I've used this
for all of the elements. The image was coloured using Promarkers,
then cut using a spellbinders circle die.
I added four embossed panels, which were popped up on foam pads for dimension.
I placed a memory box die cut, behind the image, & added a
 Marianne Creatables die cut snowflake,
To finish the card off, I threaded some sheer ribbon through the sentiment
which was die cut with a spellbinders die.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you like my little card! Don't forget to check out the challenge

Carl's New Pad

Hi everyone!
How's your weekend going? Good I hope!
As you may know, I am currently a Guest Scribbler over at
Here's my latest card for them!

I made a New Home card for a guy who's just moved in to his first flat!
The cool image I have used is #321 Carl's Pad
(gotta love a cute frog in a pond lol )
The sentiment is my own!
My card base is the usual 6"x6".
I used a mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers to colour up the image.
The image & sentiment were die cut using spellbinders dies,
then inked with some liquid chalk ink.
The patterened paper is from a book of papers I picked up at Lidl.
The fish tail was created using a square punch on an angle!
I was going to add a couple of buttons but the little bit of trim appeared
from nowhere & was the right size, so I stuck it on instead.
Thi card is flat which means it can easily be posted.
Don't forget to check out the latest challenge over at

Jar Of Hearts Scribbles

Hello everyone!
I'm here with another card to share!

A few weeks back I was invited to be a guest Scribbler over at
I was of course delighted & jumped at the chance!

Here's my debut GDT card!
I used the sweet image #890 Hearts Mason Jar to make my card.
The card base is a Kraft 145x145mm square.
I coloured up the image using my promarkers then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.
I edged everything with a pink Colour Q liquid chalk inkpad.
The paper I have used is one from Lidl, it seems I have been using these
a lot lately. My craft/ spare bedroom is a bit topsy turvey so it's hard to get to things
for the moment and these might just be a little easier to get to than others!
I just happen to love them too! lol
I added a section of doily as when I think of things that come in Mason jars,
I always think of doilies & ginham. Which brings me neatly on to the ribbon
which came from a crafty friends de stash.
The die cut hearts were cut with an embosslit (another crafty de stash buy)  & the
sentiment was die cut twice from  Kraft CS using a Lawn Fawn die then layered
to give a bit of dimension & shadow.
I hope you like my card & I hope you can play in the challenge.
The theme at the moment is " A Song In My Heart"
You can use a song title or pehaps some of the words as your inspiration.
The inspirations for my card was the title:
Jar Of Hearts, from a Christina Perri song!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar - anything goes
Let's Color Saturday Linky Party  anything goes with something colored
Jilia Spiri Challenge - Anything Goes/ Film, Book, Song

Anything Christmas BUT A Card

Good morning all!
(I apologise if you've seen this post before, I scheduled it a
week too early, much to my embarrassment! lol)
Christmas is fast approaching & I've been busy getting things ready for craft fairs
& helping out with bits & pieces for parties etc.

I was invited to be GDT for Crafting For All Seasons, this month,
where they are having a month long challenge this time!
I of course jumped at the chance to play along with my past DT friends!
So, I thought I'd share with you some of the bits & pieces
I've been making!

First up, this cute little man !

He's a Sock Snowman.
Filled with rice & made from a single sock, with
some buttons, ribbon & a little candy cane to embellish!
There are lots of tutorials on the internet for these, so you shouldn't be stuck for ideas!
He's been very popular, in fact, I spent last night making a whole little family of these!

Next up, Snowman Poop! lol

Again, there are lots of tutorials on the internet for this & the image I've used
is a little freebie from Whimsie Doodles here
Next, up, Grinch Pills!

A similar idea but just a little bit different.
I found the image here
For both of these projects, I made a little cutting file on my SIL Cameo.
I'm still getting to know it & haven't played as much as I'd like to but
I'm determined to use it a whole lot more!

Finally, a little Santa Sleigh

A great little alternative to a selection box with lots of chocolate treats!

Again, there are lots of tutorials on the internet.
You can find one on my blog here.
I've been making these for a few years now  & they have proved to be very popular!
I've learned that it's best to wrap the little chocolate bars as when the littlies get
hold of these & pull them apart, the contents go everywhere otherwise.
It also helps to keep them busy for a little longer, unwrapping things!
They also make great table decorations for place settings!

There are 3 fantastic sponsors for this challenge,
Fabulous Sponsor 2014
Fabulous Sponsor 2014
&
Fabulous Sponsor 2014
I hope you can play! I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs!
I've been so busy lately I've not had much time to hop!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway here, even if you don't sew yourself,
it's a lovely e-book to look at & it would be a perfect present for anyone who sews,
You have until Saturday to add your name to the link up!

Think Pink

Good Morning lovelies!
I was very luck to be invited to Guest Design this month at

The Sisterhood Of Crafters

The theme for the first challenge is "Think PINK"
(In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month)

As some of you will know, this is a cause very dear to my heart as
my mum had breast cancer a couple of years ago! Happily, she is a survivor and
we are greatful to the medical teams & support staff who looked after her so very well!
So, on to my card!

I coloured up the image with my Promarkers.
She's a freebie image I got a little while ago via the Saturated Canary
Facebook Group! Isn't she a stunner!

Here's a closer look at her!
I cut out the image with a Spellbinders die & inked with
a little Worn Lipstick distress ink,

The papers I've used are from First Edition, Bird Cage Stack
The plain paper is by American Crafts.
The border was created using a Martha Stewart Doily Punch.
The gorgeous Faux Silk ribbon is from my stash.
As you can see the inside of the card is decorated too!

I hope you can play along in the Think PINK Challenge.
Don't forget to check yourself too!

I coloured her up using promarkers, trimmed the image & distressed with scissors.
I inked with some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
The paper I have used is from the Bird Cage Stack by First Edition

My sentiment was made on the PC,  I matted on to pieces
of a die cut square. The lace & pearls are from my stash.

Santa's Sleigh

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge at 2 Sisters!
This is my final GDT project for them!
* Sad Face*
It's been great fun! Thanks so much for having me as GDT!
*Smiles*
This week the theme is
"Anything But a Card"
Here's what I have to share with you!

It's a little Santa's Sleigh made using Candy Canes & chocolate bars!
So easy to make but so much fun!
I think they are great substitute for overpriced selection boxes!
I first saw these on Jak Heath's blog!
She had a link to a tutorial but I decided to google & see what else was out there!
There are so many tutorials of different styles!
I had a look at them all & decided what I wanted to do!

Here are some of the ingredients I've used!
Candy Canes & a 4 finger Kit Kat formed the base.

I decided to wrap my chocolate as my other half was playing Santa on Christmas Day
& handing these out to all the little ones.
I was worried that in the mayhem, the chocolate would
end up all over my sisters floor!
This way, the theory was that if the kids tore them apart,
it should just be the outside wrappers& not the actual
chocolate wrappers that tear.
This particular model was wrapped in kraft paper,
I also did some in scraps of wrapping paper!

I tied each "present" with some twine!

Here are all the presents ready to be glued together!
I used my hot glue gun to do this!

Two of the finished articles!
The Santa's on these look really laid back! lol
I actually made 18 of them in the end as everyone wanted one!

A view from a different angle!
I can tell you that these little babies went down a treat
with the adults as well as the kids!
Thanks for popping in!
I can't wait to see what project you make for the
I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges!

Santa's Cookies Are Ready!

Good morning everyone!
How are you all today?
I'm still totally chasing my tail & playing catch up but I am getting closer
every day to being organised for Christmas!
Over at the 2 Sisters Challenge blog, there's a new challenge for you!
This week the Theme is Krafty Christmas & we'd like to see you
use Kraft on your project!
Here's my GDT card!

It's a simple little A6 card.
This weeks sponsor is Kenny K & I was given this little
sweetie Santa Cookies from Kenny K to work with!
Isn't she just the cutest little thing you've ever seen!
I did try to print the image out onto Kraft card-stock but it wasn't
to be as the Kraft was just to thick for my poor printer.
So, instead I used Kraft for my base & for matting!

I coloured the image with a combination of Copics, Promarkers &
Flexmarkers then cut her out with an oval Nestie.
I cut the matt with a scalloped oval.

The sentiment ticket is from The Crafty Pad

The ribbons are from Lidl & the little Chrome Bell from MieFlower

The buttons & design paper were from my stash.
I used a simple paper insert to finish off this little card!
I hope you like it!
I'm dropping it off later at my hairdressers
with a box of cookies for them all!
Thanks so much for stopping by, it's always nice to have visitors!
I hope you have the time to Get Krafty & join in with  the
challenge at 2 Sisters this time!

Gingerbread Treats

Morning all!
Here's my latest GDT card for the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog!
The theme this week is Gingerbread Treats
The images used by the DT & GDT were kindly supplied by
Here's my card!

I did plan a totally different card but hey ho, this is how it turned out!
I enjoy seeing where my stash takes me sometimes! lol
I used a scalloped square card base from Craftwork Cards

The papers I have used are from my last years stash & I have
no idea where they are from I'm sorry!!
I coloured the image with Promarkers then chalked around the outside
& in the background with Colourbox Q Fluid Chalks Ink Pads

The ribbon is from Lidl, it's actually meant for gift wrapping but great for crafting too!
The snowflake is cut with a Marianne Creatables Die
That was also from last year & I can't find my dies at the moment!

Here's a side view of my card!
The sentiment is a peel off, for some reason they seem to come
into their own at this time of year! I also added some buttons from my stash!
I hope you can join in the challenge at 2 Sisters this time!

Stop Press: I have been sorting my craft stuff & have
just now found my snowflake dies! Yay!!!
Ah well there's always next year! lol
