Crafty Creations

Hi all,
Recently, I was lucky enough to get a message in my inbox from a very special lady!
I was invited to join the papercraft design team for Craft Creations!
It took me a second or two to decide, so here I am!
These are my first samples & they will be on Hochanda TV
today Friday 24th May at 12pm & 4pm

You can watch online here or on your telly box

Freeview 85 Sky 673 or FreeSat 817

This one was made using black cardstock, the Feather Stamp & Sentiment
which were embossed with white EP& a little bit of lace from my stash!
Simple but effective I reckon

The flamingo card was stamped using Distress Oxides,
then coloured with a promarker or two!
I die cut the image & matted & layered using some circle dies.
The background & sentiment were stamped with distress oxides too.
A few sticky pearls from my stash & we're done!

This unicorn was stamped & embossed in black then coloured with
my sparkly Sakura pens! I do like to dig them out from time to time!
The matting & layering was done using plain white CS & blue glitter card!
I punched the corners for a bit of interesting detail

This unicorn was stamped with Distress Ink then coloured with a mix
of promarkers & flexmarkers.
I die cut the image then used Distress Inks to create the background.
I matted & layered some Kraft CS die cuts to create interest
Thanks for dropping in & don't forget to tune in to
Craft Creations
on Hochanda @12 & 4pm
It' going to be a great show & I believe there may be Bank Holiday Specials too!

Play A Saw

Good morning all, here I am again with another little card.
I had a lot of fun putting this one together.

This one was made for my hubby on our wedding anniversary!

The reason behind this odd card is that we went to a party a while back & someone
actually did play a saw! Yep, the kind you get from hardware stores!
It was incredible!
We were both stunned. I'd never have believed what a wonderful a
tune you could produce from a basic saw!

The watch/clock embossed panel was wiped over with gilding wax.
The clippings are from a cider bottle label! Hubby does love a cider!

The lace & buttons are from my stash.
The little sentiment tags are LOTV
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like my card!

Edited to add:- I was contacted via twitter by a lady who makes the most
beautiful music playing a saw.
If you have a minute, you can watch her here

I’d like to enter this card in the current challenge at
Daring Cardmakers - A Moment In Time

Happy Anniversary

Good morning all!
We've had a great week taking in the atmosphere at the
Edinburgh Festival & Fringe.
It's back to normal today, back to work & I have a card to share!

This fun little offering was made for my parents anniversary!
I used the 7 Year Itch Decoupage Sheet from La Pashe
Wrinklies At The Movies CD.
My Dad is a big Marilyn Monroe fan, & my Mum loves
the movies, so it worked well for them!

The base is 8"x8" Kraft cardstock.
The Papers are from the My Minds Eye, Best Of Paisley Paperstack.
I kept the layout fairly simple, adding a couple of bits of ribbon & some lace.
The sentiment was printed on some Kraft then cut out using a
Spellbinders Callout die.

The stars were punched using an amazing Fiskars Punch that I won!
(It feels like it will punch through anything, like it's butter)
I then embossed them using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.
I added a sheer bow to finish it off.
As you can see from the photo, I decorated the inside of the card too!
Thanks for popping by, I hopeyou like it!

I'd like to enter this card in a few little challenges:

It's a little A6 Baby Girl card.
I used an image from La Pashe for the main focus.
I used a spellbinders circle die to cut it out & a scalloped circle to mat.
The edges have been distressed & inked a little.
The embossing folder is a cuttlebug one if I'm not mistaken.
The sentimet was done on the pc & I used a border punch for the decorative mat.

all the time I was making this

then cut with an Xcut heart die & inked with the Tea Dye DI.

Something New

Good morning all!
Gosh Monday sure came around quickly didn't it!
It's time for the new challenge over at Eureka Stamps, this week it's

#175 Use Something New - to celebrate our new year.
(Don't forget we're having a DT call too!)

So, did everyone get lots of craty goodies for Christmas??
I didn't but I did get some new ribbon from Lidl & I decided to try a new technique!

Here's my card!
Sorry, the pics aren't the best but the weather is rotten & it's very dull!
I've used the sentiment Digi 8107 (455) Thank You
I did use my Chameleon Pens which I've only used a couple of times
to colour it. The technique I have used is partial embossing with a folder.
The front of the card was staight forward enough but I wanted to try embossing
the inside & leaving a panel to write on.
The only embellishement I've used is the ribbon which had the butterfly attached.
I followed a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers for the inside.
The results aren't perfect but it worked fairly well for a first attempt!

Thanks for popping in! It's always nice to have a visitor!

This card was made with the following challenge in mind:

Inkspirational -Thank you using something new
QKR Stampede  - Clean & Simple

I'm not in work this week at all so, am looking forward to a bit of R&R!
Now, on to the new challenge at Eureka Stamps, where this weeks theme is

Here's my card
I used the lovely Digi 23402 Snowman Circle for my card!
I kept the design simple & fairly flat for posting.
The base card is from Craftwork Cards, embossed using an Xcut snowflake folder.
I used my flexmarkers to colour the image, cut with a circle die, then outlined the
image & the sentiment with some liquid chalk ink. The sentiment was also die cut.
The sentiment & image are popped up on 1mm foam pads for a little dimension!

In fact, I loved the image so much I made 4 cards!

They are all very similar in design but I used different colours
to ink the circles & sentiments!

Then swooshed with some DI in Antique Linen & added some bronze gilding wax.
The sentiment was printed on my PC using Mountains of Christmas font,
then die cut with a Spellbinders die & given the DI & gilding wax treatment.

More Like The Movies

Good Morning All,
The weekend is almost  upon us, thank goodness!
It's been a busy week & I've been very tired!
I have yet another Anniversary card to share with you today!
This one is for my brother & sister in law.

I used the small sepia toned image from one of the La Pashe
Wrinklies At The Movies, decoupage sheets.
(When I was making this card, I had a song going through my head,
it was a tune by Dr Hook, back in the day, More Like The Movies.
I loved that song then & I still do now!)

I wanted to keep the card flat so I could easily pop it in the post.
The card base is A6 Kraft CS. I added a slightly offset plain black mat,
then a panel of white embossed CS which was offset the other way.
The flimstrip was cut using a spellbinders die & I added some clear
transparency fim to the cut out sections.
The little ticket sentiment was in my folder of images & sentiments
which have been printed off for a while. I layered up the bits from the
cut out sections of the fim strip die & added it to the top.

You cant quite see it but I've a added a black panel to the inside of the
card, with a white heart to write on. I've also added two
little black die cut hearts to decorate.
I hope you like my card, more to the point I hope the anniversary couple do!
Thanks for stopping by.
I'd like to add ths card to the following challenges:

Happy Ruby Wedding

Good morning all!
The card I have to share with you today is a commision.
I was given free reign to make a Ruby Wedding card
for a friend to give to her husband.
Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary Liz & John!
Here's what I came up with!

I used a white 6"x6" base & added a mat of ruby red card-stock.
The white, embossed card is from Lelli-bot.
I added a layer of ruby card, along the lower third of the card,
the bottom edge was punched using an EK Success border punch & a
mat of  the embossed card on top.
I created the hearts using the ruby red card.
I die cut them, then ran through the big shot to emboss, using Cuttlebug
swirls & swiss dots folders. Next I added some silver thread which was wrapped around.
In the past I have used embossing powder to give these a nice shiny appearance.
This time, as I had added the thread, I decided to try Anitas 3d Clear Gloss.
It took ages to dry (overnight) but I am really happy with the result.
The sentiment was created in my graphics programme.
I added 3 ruby red star buttons to embellish.

On the inside of the card, I added a mat of ruby red card & a
die cut heart in white, to write on.
Thanks for popping in, I do hope you like my card!
I certainly had a lot of fun creating it!
