A Pretty Pastel Christmas Card

Good morning bloggers!
I know, I don't usually post on a Saturday but
I won a challenge over at Two Sisters Challenge Blog
& was invited to GD with them!
I love playing in their challenges so,of course I jumped at the chance
although I probably shouldn't have as we are still in the midst of
DIY & redecoration! lol However, there is light at the end of the tunnel &
all the floorboards in the lounge are actually on the floor now!
Next up is the hallway!

The theme for  the Two Sisters Challenge #116
is Pastel Christmas
Here's my card!

It's a little A6 card. I'm trying to keep my Christmas cards as flat
as I can this year so I can  mail them with a normal stamp.
The pink ribbon is from my stash & the papers are remnants of
two digital downloads by Elaine Hayhoe over at
Card Making Downloads here & here.
They have been printed off since at least last year
in my Christmas Stash!

The image is the lovely Finch On Pine by IKEsART
I coloured it up using my Promarkers & Flexmarkers
in pastel type shades.

I decorated the inside of the card with scraps
of the DP's. I also added some Papermania Mosaic Gems
just to finish the card off!

The sponsor for this challenge is

Good evening lovely bloggers!
I just had to share this story with you!
The lady in  the photo below is Lorna
who is a crafty friend!

Lorna has spent this year raising funds for the
Juvenile Diabetes Unit at The Royal Sick Childrens Hospital in Edinburgh!

Here's Why!

"My grandson has Type 1 diabetes and, like a lot of things, it is not until it is in your own family you realise just how this changes daily life with constant counting carbs and injections to counteract any hypo.

I only have about 8 weeks left of my fundraising year for the above cause and I would be really grateful for any donations or if you could please share this post with all your friends."

Lorna is a very talented crafter & works in Southfield Stationers
She has been making & selling craft items & has worked really hard at her fundraising!
To date she has raised the fantastic sum of £1,230 for this worthy cause!
You can read more about Juvenile Diabetes Here
You can donate on her Just Giving Page
If everyone donates just £2 it would make a real difference
to Lorna's fundraising & to the Juvenile Diabetes Unit
as well as all the children who need to use this facility!

"My employer is hosting a Charity Day for the above, so if you are free please come along for a fun day.."
10 November 10am - 5pm
Southfield Stationers
Hardengreen Industrial Estate
Eskbank
Dalkeith
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

If you live in the area, perhaps you can pop in to support Lorna & have
a little fun at the same time!
Maybe think of stocking up on some crafty goodies too! lol
There's a fantastic little coffee shop too!
Thanks for reading this little story!

I used the sketch

from Stars & Stamps for my card design.
I altered the shapes slightly.

Kris looks like he's already been celebrating & getting right
in to the spirit of things! lol
The images were coloured using a mix of Promarkers,
Flexmarkers & Sakura pens.

My DP is from Papermania, I've had it in my stash for ages!
I cut out the image with a nestie&  used a little gold inkpad
to distress all of the edges !
I wrapped the panel with Bakers Twine & added a little
Christmas tree charm.
The circle sentiment is from my stash & has been printed out from last year.
Not sure where it came from, I have a feeling it may be Sentiments 4 You,
which is temporarily closed, but I can't be sure!

As I usually do, I've added a little decoration inside my card!
So now the time has come for you to head off to Esther

Christmas is Coming!

Happy Sunday all you lovely bloggers!
It's time for the new challenge at The Crafty Pad this week!
It's my turn to choose the theme this time!
The theme I chose is
 "Christmas is Coming!"
You can enter any Christmas themed project you like!
Here's my card, it's a little scalloped circle easel card.

The image I have used is
I altered it, in that  removed the sentiment & made my
own circular sentiment around the image using my graphics programme!
The Ribbon Girls have a photo/colour inspiration challenge this week!

I've used that as my inspiration!
They also have a fab give away on now too!

The image was a dream to colour  with my promarkers
& I added some sparkly highlights using my trusty
Sakura Clear Star pen!
I printed & coloured the image twice.
I cut out the first image with a circle nestie then fussy cut around the second
& layered it on top of the first one.
My base card was made
using a gold coloured card blank.

The sentiment ticket is from The Crafty Pad too,
you can find it here

The ribbon I have used was from a local haberdashery shop.
I found it in their bargain basket a couple of years ago.
I added a little bell which I had in my charm jar!
I have no idea where it came from.
Thanks for stopping by & checking out my creation!
Don't forget to stop by the challenge blog for some more
inspiration from the mega talented Ladies of Team A

To make playing along even more worthwhile,
