Washi Fun - Happy Birthday & A Surprise

Hi all, I've been having some fun with my Washi Tape!
I love the stuff, it's just perfect for a quick CAS card.
You might recall I made a few cards using this at Christmas time!
Not much to say about this wee card really, it's A6, the flower is from my
stash, I got them in the pound shop ages ago & I printed the
sentiment onto the base card which is Linen Embossed CS.
That's about it really!
I'd like to enter this card in a couple of challenges:
Clear It Out - Anything Goes

Oh yes & the surprise!
I've not had the best couple of days, nothing serious at all, just trivial things
but when I got home from work, I had a note from the postie
to say he'd left a parcel for me with a neighbour!
I am expecting a delivery but it's a pair of tweezers, so I was intrigued........
Anyhoo, I rang the neighbours doorbell & the man of the house appeared with a huge
padded envelope! I was mystified by this point!
I chatted for a bit as you do but I was dying to get into the house
to investigate further.
Well, here's what this surprise parcel contained!

How amazing is that?
It's from a very lovely friend, very lovely indeed!
This has totally made my day!
I'm sure my Mum & I will find this very handy for making our
fundraising cards for Breakthrough!
Thanks so much Nikki! You're one special lady! xx

A Gorjuss Gift

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great Easter weekend if you celebrate it.
It was lovely to be off work for 4 days straight.
We managed to get out for lunch  enjoyed a few walks in the unexpected sunshine
over the last couple of days.
Anyhoo, I got a copy of the Creativity Magazine which had a
Santoro cover gift this time, so I decided to have a bit of a play!
I make loads of cards to sell for charity & as a result, I like to be as
thrifty as I possible when making them!
Here's what I made using the freebie & some stuff mainly from my scraps box!

Decoupage, buttons & paper were from the kit.
The ribon is upcycled from a christmas gift set & the lace was
a scrap from another project,
To be thrifty, I often split the decoupage & use every second layer to
make another image. You'll see a card I made using this in a mo!
The sentiment was cut with a Tattered Lace die.

Again, a scrap of lace, the gift set ribbon & some of the ribbon tags from a top.
The sentiment tag was part of the kit & I added a peel of greeting!

This is the second layers of the decoupage matted & layered then placed on an oval die cut.
The ribon is from another gift set & the lace is from my stash!
After I had stuck it on, it srtuck me that it would have looked lovely as bunting!
Bling from my stash & sentmiment from another Tattered Lace die

A kraft base for this one, a Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch added a
little bit of detail. The sentiment was a Tonic tape runner, which has lots od
different fonts. The little flower is from Do Crafts I think,
it's been kicking about my stash forever!

Last one for now, I used papers from my scrap box,
the sentiment is another font from the tape runner, a Tattered Lace
die cut heart button & some die cut flourishes to embellish
as well as a scrap of lace & some upcycled ribbon!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
