At The Beach

Good morning all!
It's Monday, which means we have a new challenge for you over at
Eureka Stamps, where the theme for this week is
Here's my DT inspiration card!

As you can see, I went more for what you can see from the beach!
(I'm sorry about the photo but I just couldn't get this to look straight at all!)
As soon as I saw this gorgeous mermaid, I just had to use her!
I made a shaker card,
The shaker part is a little acetate pocket, with the image placed behind it, inside the card.
(makes her look like she's underwater)
I used an A5 base, which I covered with some patterned vellum from Lidl,
then die cut an aperture in the centre.
I used a slightly bigger die to cut the acetate for the pocket.
I sealed the acetate on 3 sides, filled with lots of little beads & sequins, then
covered with a frame which I had doodled around with my Sakura Stardust pens.
Then stuck to the base.

On the inside I added a pattern paper which matches the veullum,
then added the image! Here's a closer look at her.

I had great fun colouring the image with my promarkers & Sakura Stardust pens.
I love the sparkly effect that the stardust pens give!
I cut her out using the same die as the aperture, inked with some distress ink,
whilst still in the die, then placed her so that she was
visibe through the shaker window.

Can't wait to see what you create for our At The Beach challenge!
I'd like to enter this card in a couple of challenges:

Hi all, here I am with my DT Inspiration card for this months

challenge at The Crafting Cafe.
Here's my card

I've used  the pretty Happy Little Mermaid Stamp from our sponsor
To make my little Shaker Step Card.
The paper I have used is by Papermania.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers, Flexmarkers & a Sakura
Glitter Gel pen. The little beads & hearts are from my stash
as are the little padded hearts on the front.

A Baby Is Born

Good Morning lovely blogger, I have  card to share today!
The current challenge theme over at The Crafting Cafe is
Interpret as you will, create a project & link it up so we can all
come over to visit your blog & Oooh & Ahh over it! lol
Here's my creation!

I've made a little shaker Christmas card.
The image is AKV Nativity Baby Jesus from our sponsor
The base card is 5"x5" Kraft & the papers are from my stash!
I've had them for ages but don't know who they are by as they came in a goodie box
as far as I can recall! I added some good old Peel Off borders which are
actually the waste from between bubble border strips. The little dots are
also waste from the middle of the bubbles.

Sorry about the photos but it was really windy outside where
I normally take my pics & the card almost blew away several times.
It has gotten so shaken up that the glitter has gone a bit static
& is clinging on to the acetate! lol.
There is actually a little silver fibre bow at the bottom of the shaker
window but I'm not sure you can make it out in the photo! lol
Thanks for popping by! I do hope you can play in the challenge!

Shake It Up, It's Sunday

Hey all,
Lets get shaky this Sunny Sunday!
It's time for a new challenge over at
& this week we want you to make a shaker card!
Here's mine

The image I have used is Rocking Horse from The Crafty Pad Designs
Such a cute image don't you agree?
The layout is from my mind eye!
I coloured up the image with Promarkers & cut out with a scalloped circle nestie.
I used two design papers from my stash! These are digital papers from
Cardmaking Downloads,
sorry I don't have the links for them at this time but if I find them soon I'll add them in!

To make my shaker section I cut a frame out of my design paper using
the same size scalloped circle nestie with a smaller one inside.
I also cut out a scalloped circle of acetate.
I stuck the acetate to the frame & then added foam spots all the way around.
Next I added the little heart confetti to the frame then stuck the image
 face down onto the frame.
I find it helps to run a glue stick over the foam dots as this gives you a little bit of
leeway to get everything in just the right place!

The sentiment circle is also from The Crafty Pad Designs
I cut it out with an inverted scalloped circle & coloured it with Promarkers
then matted onto a scalloped circle of DP

I added 3 buttons to the tabs at the top, just to finish off my card.
I also added a little teddy charm tied in a ribbon bow.
Sorry I didn't get a close up pic of that!
