Watch Out For The Crafty Pad Showcase!

Good Morning Blog Land!
It's my turn to showcase a Crafty Pad Image to remind you all
to enter your Crafty Pad Creations in the
 May Crafty Pad Monthly Showcase.
Remember, this runs until the end of the month.

Don't have a Crafty Pad Image???
You can pick up a freebie from the Challenge Blog here

I've waited ages to share this card with you all!

I have to say I am rather pleased with this one if I say it myself!
This is the first time I've tried this out, it's an
Acetate Tent Card
& was inspired by my good friends Ali & Debbie
Thank You Ladies!

The clock face is the Pocket Watch image from this set at
I printed out  Design Papers from
onto both sides of some super smooth card.
Next I printed all of the elements out on the card.
I cut out the elements & inked using some distressed inks

Not sure if you can see it in the photo but I liquid embossed the face with
Anita's 3D Glaze, when it had dried, I put it in the freezer.
This allowed me to crack the glaze, giving a cracked glass effect

On the back, I used the pocket watch image again but I blanked out the middle
then added the birthday greeting.
You can see another Crafty Pad Designs Sentiment Ticket there too!

I made the circle sentiment in my graphics programme
The font is 1942 Report & you can get it free here
I thought this gave the card an added vintage feel.

A closer look at the sentiment ticket.

Here's an angled view.
I added some Funky fibres in co-ordinating colours.
Before I go I should also remind you of our Sponsor this month!
Who are offering this wonderful prize

Wish I could enter! lol

Flutterby Butterfly!

Hi all,
I have a different kind of card to share with you today!!
It's an acetate stepper card!
I can't claim all the glory for it as I saw a tutorial here & basically cased the idea!
I am rather pleased with it, as it the recipient

I made it for a variety of reasons which I won't go in to
but the main purpose was to raise a smile & let someone know
I am thinking about them!!
The card, butterflies & sentiment are all Hunkydory.
The Acetate is 220gsm

If you look closely, you can see that the butterflies all have acetate wings.

The ribbon was from my stash & I tied a triple bowin the best
Jak Heath stylie!

A side view for a better look at the construction!
Thanks for looking!
As this is a kit card I don't think I'll enter it in any competitions
but I just wanted to share it with you all!
