Engagement Card

Good morning all!
I have a card to share today!
It's not a great photo so I will apologise in advance!
I had to take the photo in a hurry & it was the best I could do!
Now, onto the card!

This one was for a friend/work colleague who got engaged over the Christmas break!
So nice to have some good news to celebrate!

I was doing a bit of blog hopping & saw this card
on Sara Davies blog & loved it, so decided to do my take on it!
The base card is 6"x6" Centura Pearl.
The sentiment was printed directly on to the card using a free font
 called Fiolex Girls
I added a mat of pink paper then added the squares.
I cut the heart shape out with a Spellbinders die, then backed with some dp from Lidl.
I used foam pads to pop up each of the squares.
The Love word is a Memory Box Die
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you like it!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Colours Of Fall

Good morning all, it's Monday & time for the brand new challenge
over at Eureka Stamps, where the theme for this week is
Here's my DT Inspiration card

I didn't use an image on my card today, I decided to let the sentiment
do the talking for itself. I just love it!
I used a 6inch scalloped, square, card for my base.
The papers are from Lidl!
I love the colours & the fact that they are glittered & embossed too!
I fussy cut around the leaves of the second paper & popped the section up
on some foam pads. I fussy cut one leaf as an embellishment.
The sentiment was printed, cut out with a Spellbinders die,
then brushed with some antique linen distress ink before removing.
I also added a little wooden heart button which is threaded with some twine.

Thanks for coming by today! I hope you like my card.
I also hope you can play in the challenge this week!

Ruby Wedding

Good morning all, I have a card to share with you today!
This is another of the Ruby Wedding Cards I was asked to make

I wasn't given any ideas so had free reign.
I used a Ruby coloured 6"x6" card base & simply added a panel
of white with a punched border & a panel of  ruby  on top.
I made up the sentiment in my Graphics progamme.
The hearts were punched.
A few little gems to finish off.

You can't see it in the photo but I added a large die cut heart
on the inside to write the greeting on!
I hope you like it!

I'd like to enter this card in a few challenges:

Most Special Day

Good morning all!
Happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a good weekend!
It's time for the new challenge  over at
Eureka Stamps where the theme this week is

I've used the digi sentiment #20601 Most Special Day
I cut the image out using a Spellbinders Die & inked with
Spun Sugar Distress Ink before removing from the die.
The papers I've used are from the First Edition - Bird Song Pad
I had a few snippets lying around.
I've used 5 papers in all.
I hand cut some fishtails & attached them to the back of the sentiment
The edges of the papers were all inked with Spun Sugar DI too

I was going to leave everything flat but it didn't look quite right so I decided to
mount the sentiment on some foam tape to give some dimension.
I hope you like my little card & I hope you can play along in the challenge!
I'd like to enter this card in a few challenges:

Love Hearts

I have another card to share with you!
This is the Valentine card I made for my husband. I couldn't take a photo
of it before as all my photo's appear on his phone too!

I wanted to keep it fairly clean & simple but a little bit in your face too!
It's an A6 base with an added a panel that was embossed using a piece of sequin waste,
then inked with a liquid chalk inkpad. The sentiment was printed directly
on to the panel using my PC. Next I cut two hearts from some red & white dotty paper
using a sizzix embosslit. I love how that baby cuts & embossed at the same time!
I covered the hearts in clear ink & heat embossed with clear embossing powder!
I wish at this point that I had some UTEE but I don't, so,
I repeat the process until I get the result I want!

You can see the high gloss here!
I added some red & white twine & tied a little bow just to finish it off!
I hope you like my little card which features another of my favourite techniques!
If you have a favourite technique, why not make a project using it & share it with us in the latest challenge over at The Crafting Cafe!

Black & White Engagment Card

Hi everyone, belated Happy New Year wishes!

the festive season & I'm only just getting back to normal now!
Praise the lord for antibiotics!

this one was made a few weeks back but I didn't get a chance to share it
before I took to my bed!
If you're on the Crafting Cafe FB group blog hop, welcome!

A little 6x6 inch Monochrome Engagement card!

for texture, then added some lace & ribbon from my stash.
I created a sentiment button in my graphics programme, which I printed & cut out
using Spellbinders circle dies

Simple yet elegant!

Fall Colours

Good Morning all!
I've finally managed to sort out all the wobbling about on my blog &get
all my little friends & followers faces back to the top!
I do so love seeing everyone when I go to my page,

The card I have to share today is my second GDT card for

I have truly enjoyed being a Step Sister this month!
Thank you all so much for inviting me!

The theme for this challenge is
Here's my card!

I used a Kraft CS 6x6in base.
I embossed a mat of Ivory paper with the Creative Expressions
Leaves Mask then added Vintage Photo & Tea Dye Distress Inks.
The burlap/hessian was part of a fabulous blog candy I won earlier this year.
The felt flowers are from my stash as is the leaf trim.
The sentiment stamp is from a Do Crafts See D's set.
I stamped it with clear ink then heat embossed with
Papermania copper embossing powder
This card was inspired by the photo over at

On the inside of the card, I added another mat of the
embossed ivory paper. Whilst embossing,I tried to block of the middle section
with a piece of CS to leave a plain panel to write on but
it didn't work quite as well as I planned so I had to add
another little mat of plain cs.

I really enjoyed making this card, I hope you like it!

New Job

Good morning all!
A nice short post from me today!
The card I have to share with you, was a commisioned card.
Oddly enough, I've had quite a few requests for New Job cards this
month, I wonder, is it a sign that things are improving with the economy?
Here's what I came up with!

A simple little card in pink & white!
I created the sentiment on the PC then printed, cut out with a
Nesties Label die & inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink.
I used a white base then added two embossed panels which I inked,
then covered the join with a length of seam binding.

I added a separate hand tied quadruple bow.

Inside the card I added an inked panel & a little lucky black cat,
made with a Memory Box die.
Thanks for stopping by!

Working With Sketches

Good morning bloggers, we're nearly there!
Are you ready yet?
It's time for my DT Project for this month's challenge at
The Crafting Cafe, where the theme is

Here's a little Christmas tag I made using Sketch No. 4
I think it looks a little bit like a Christmas Bauble!

I was going to share some of the others I had made with you but
the light is appalling & I need to get my wrapping up sorted so
I'm afraid must get on with it!
To make this little tag., I cut a the base circle from some corrugated
cardstock using a nestie. I added a strip of Washi tape (I love that stuff),
then glued on some Poinsettia confetti using Pinflair Glue.
(I did try a quickie glue pen initially but it didn't want to stick).
I added some curling ribbon, & a plain white panel on the reverse,
to write my message on.
If you haven't entered the challenge yet & you're wrapping presents
& making tags, why not try using the sketches for your inspiration,
take a little photo & link up to the challenge here!
The challenge is open until the 31st December.
Hope to see your entries soon!
I'd like to enter this little tag in the following challenges:

Time to Fess Up!

Hello everyone out there in blog land!
It's Sunday which means a new challenge over at
The Crafty Pad!
Challenge # 120 Spots & Dots let us see you go Dotty!
This week we are kindly sponsored by Letraset

Who are offering a fabby pack of 5 Aquamarkers

We are also sponsored by our very own Lovely Lorraine from L.R. Designs

 Okay, so, 'fessing up time!
I'm a bad bad bad bad girl!
I made my card for the challenge DT.....but.....I stupidly forgot all about the Spots & Dots!
*Blushing Furiously*
I guess you could say the creator was totally Dotty!
So here's my card, minus the spotty & dotty bits!

I was feeling so pleased with myself & my card too!
The DT were asked to use the

I opted to keep my card fairly simple as I didn't want to detract from the Recipe!
I printed the recipe onto some pearlescent paper then cut out.

I've been working on a big project (top secret for now) using gate fold cards & decided this design would suit the recipe just perfectly!
I used a sheet of A5 textured chocolate brown card for the base card.
The DP I used was part of a download from Craftystash I keep using these papers as they are so versatile!
I apologise for the quality of my pics as I took them when it was dark & the colours just aren't true, no matter how I tried to fix them!

I added some flowers from Sweetpea Polly's Crafty Things & some leaves punched out using my woodware punch.
To finish it of I added this neat little frog fastner,

it's the kind of thing you see on Oriental jackets & blouses.
I got this from Mei Flower at a recent Craft Show! I think it's just perfect for this kind of card! It's something just a little bit different from ribbon!
Inside the card which you can't see on any of the pics,  there is a linen textured paper insert. I added a strip of the DP down either side just to tie it all together.
I'm going to send this card to a friend who's feeling a bit down at the mo with a lovely bar of Green & Black's Chocolate!
Don't forget to join in the Challenge at The Crafty Pad if you can & if you do don't be like me & forget your Spots & Dots! lol
