Anyhoo! Turned on the laptop for a bit of light relief & I found this waiting for me!
It's from Shaz over at *Shaz's Crafty Corner* Thank you sooo very much! I now have a new award & a new friend!
The idea is to award unkown blogs, which I think is a wonderful idea!

In accepting the award I've had to agree to the following conditions;

2) Link back to the person who gave you the award and say if you accept.
3) Choose 3-5 of your favourite blogs to tag, link these in your post too and tell the lucky people they have been tagged.
As the aim of this award is to bring unknown good blogs to light, please don't tag somebody with 3000 followers.
Okay so I'm saying a big fat YES PLEASE &thanks again to Shaz

This Little Lady Definitely Has The 'Tude

Here I am back again with a card for
Please pop over & join us if you can! This weeks prize is a Digi's With Attitude! $10 gift certificate
Meet Cheerleader Tween, one of the newest Tweens on the block! She certainly loves life!
You can find her & all the other Tweens here in the Digi's With Attitude! store.
I coloured this little lady up with Promarkers. I then cut her out using my Nesties in the Big Shot, ran a Promarker around the edge of the scalloped circle to add a bit of colour and went round again with my Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. I then added some Diamond Sparkles. I added some sparkle to her pom poms too! She most definitely had to be blonde because as they say, "Blondes have more Fun!"

As she is so bright, bold & sassy, I had to make the rest of the card the same, so I matted her onto some fluorescent yellow & pink card which I punched down one edge with my Martha Stewart punch. I trimmed the top & bottom using scalloped scissors and added to a 5in x 5in scalloped card.
The fluorescent card I used was in a goodie bag that I purchased from Southfield Stationers ages ago and I didn't think I'd ever use it but this card just had to be bright!

I couldn't find any flowers or embellishments bold enough to adorn this card so I made my own.  I made the flowers using two different sized daisy punches and the fluorescent card.  I ran a large embossing tool along the back of each the petals to give them a bit of shape then I used the embossing tool again in the centre on the front. I glued the two daisies together & attached them to the card using foam pads of varying depth.

The sentiment is a freebie from Sentiments 4 You I coloured it with Promarkers & treated it in the same way as I did the image! I attached it using foam pads. I've left the centre blank & will add glittery numbers when the time comes!
Thanks for looking!
Happy Crafting!

Here's One For The Boys

Hi all, I'm back with my latest offering, it's one for the boys & is a footballer card!

I was asked to make this for someone at work who's son will be 30 next week!
The only things he likes are football & computers!
I trawled the world wide web looking for a suitable image! I didn't want anything cute as I don't think this guy would really appreciate that. I eventually found exactly what I was looking for at Mo's Digital Pencil Too!
He's called Soccer Dude & until I put the pics up, I thought I'd done a good job of colouring him. As soon as you see them on the screen you see every little fault! I used promarkers for the image and chalks for the back of the net!!! I cut the image out roughly & mounted him foam pads!

The football pitch base & goal netting were part of a free design by Jan McFarlane over at  Card Making Downloads!
The footballer is wearing the  Heart's of Midlothian Away Kit (or it's supposed to look a bit like it!)
I had to use the away kit as until today I didn't own a Maroon pen!!! Typically, it arrived the day after I needed it!!!

The sentiments were from Sentiments 4 You.

I love these tickets & decided to large this one & use it for the stop. First I went over it with green chalk Then mounted it on to black card & cut out the corners. I attached it to the base card using foam tape.

The 30 sentiment was made up of two seperate images. I added the age to the centre of the Enjoy Your Day! I then cut this out using a nestie & mounted on to the same shape of black card!

Thanks for looking!

A Quick Make for Valentine's Day!

Hi all,
Happy Burns Night to you all! I hope you had haggis for your tea & addressed it properly!!!
Anyone who doesn't live in Scotland may well be wondering what on earth I'm talking about!
Today is the birthday of the famous Scottish Poet, Robbie Burns & we do like to celebrate his life & his work!
I just had a little bit of time to get this card together yesterday while my dearly beloved was out for the evening!

(Sorry about the pics, it looks squint in every one! I can assure you it isn't in real life!)
I used a Pyramage design sheet from Card Making Downloads. It was designed by Elaine Hayhoe & I love working with her designs for quick and simple cards!
The sheets generally include a matching backing paper or two which is always a bonus!!!
For speed I used a diamond top card template, created by the lovely Debbie Lauder, this is available on both Craftystash & Card Making Downloads it cuts out any need for measuring as it's all done for you!
I printed one of the backing papers on to the cardstock, returned it to the printer & printed the template on the other side! I then cut it out, scored, folded & went around the edges of the diamond top with some distress ink.
I placed a matt of silver star holographic card on to the diamond. then cut out the pyramage, inked the edges with the same ink and built it up using foam tape. (I tend to use only half of the sections provided!)
I then glued the pyramage on!
He's such a cute little dude don't you think?
Finally I glued the sentiment to the same star holographic card & mounted it at the bottom of the card again with foam tape! I added a few little hearts & a red, red rose.
Couldn't be without one on Burns Night now could we!

This card is my entry for the Card Making Downloads January Competitionpop on over & check it out!
