Santa's Sleigh

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge at 2 Sisters!
This is my final GDT project for them!
* Sad Face*
It's been great fun! Thanks so much for having me as GDT!
*Smiles*
This week the theme is
"Anything But a Card"
Here's what I have to share with you!

It's a little Santa's Sleigh made using Candy Canes & chocolate bars!
So easy to make but so much fun!
I think they are great substitute for overpriced selection boxes!
I first saw these on Jak Heath's blog!
She had a link to a tutorial but I decided to google & see what else was out there!
There are so many tutorials of different styles!
I had a look at them all & decided what I wanted to do!

Here are some of the ingredients I've used!
Candy Canes & a 4 finger Kit Kat formed the base.

I decided to wrap my chocolate as my other half was playing Santa on Christmas Day
& handing these out to all the little ones.
I was worried that in the mayhem, the chocolate would
end up all over my sisters floor!
This way, the theory was that if the kids tore them apart,
it should just be the outside wrappers& not the actual
chocolate wrappers that tear.
This particular model was wrapped in kraft paper,
I also did some in scraps of wrapping paper!

I tied each "present" with some twine!

Here are all the presents ready to be glued together!
I used my hot glue gun to do this!

Two of the finished articles!
The Santa's on these look really laid back! lol
I actually made 18 of them in the end as everyone wanted one!

A view from a different angle!
I can tell you that these little babies went down a treat
with the adults as well as the kids!
Thanks for popping in!
I can't wait to see what project you make for the
I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges!
