Comments:
This file set was originally posted by "Freddyfifou" to Dime in January 2011, though it may have appeared on other trackers earlier. To my knowledge, this hasn't appeared on Dime since, so I thought it might be worth re-upping this for those who missed it the last time around.
This is a matrix for which a LOT of work has been done (see comments below), and while it still isn't perfect, it's probably one of the best 1982 shows in circulation. The vocals are prominent in the mix and you can hear all of the band members clearly in a reasonably good mix; on the downside, this sounds to me like there is some distortion on one or both of the sources used to compile this matrix. Sounds like it's overloaded throughout; still quite listenable, but not of the quality that you're likely to mistake this for a commercial release. Still, we take what we can get, and this matrix is better than I recall either the raw or audience or soundboard sources to be (though in fairness, it's probably been 20+ years since I've listened to either, and at the time I had both on cassette). Definitely worth having if you're a Peter Gabriel/Genesis collector.

Comments: This is a very nice soundboard originally posted on the long-defunct sharingthegroove.org BT site in early 2004. The only complaint one could make on this one is that it is (sadly) incomplete -- missing a couple of tracks in the encore. Despite that shortcoming, this is one that even a casual collector -- or even a music fan that doesn't like bootlegs -- could love. No idea of the origin (the attached info file is all that came with it), but it doesn't have any obvious pops, crackles, etc. that would imply it's from a bad rip.

The source is often listed as "TV" but this does not come from a video. There is no voice over, announcement, ad breaks or anything that could take away from enjoying this gem. I suspect that this was a pre-broadcast production tape. This is also the longest existing version. Nice version of "Across The River".

(6) Biko (9:47) *

Note:
The first track on this recording that has circulated in the non-DIME trading pool featured an interview backed with "Zaar." Though the interview is not commercially available, the recording of "Zaar" is (on the "Passion" soundtrack) and therefore must be removed per Dime rules. I don't think anyone is missing much by not having the 10-minute interview segment included.
Comments:
This is an FM broadcast which generated a bit of debate last time around about whether it came from his performance on 9/29 or 9/30 in Santiago; I think the consensus is 9/29 (this is the date provided in the info file), but am hedging my bets on the header because I have no way of knowing. In any case, it's a fairly good, though heavily processed, FM broadcast of a typical "Us" tour show. Of note here is that Peter brought a Chilean group onstage with him during the encore, during which he performed "Wallflower" (a staple of his 2010 shows, but I don't think it had been played live regularly before then). Overall sound quality is not as dynamic as one would hope given that it's a soundboard recording, but it's quite listenable and I think stands up as one of the better-sounding Gabriel recordings from his 1993-1994 tour.
