He has left a rich legacy of music both as part of musical groups as well as a solo artist, The Johnston’s and Planxty. After Planxty, he worked with Andy Irvine between 1976 – 1978. He then launched his solo career with the release of his debut album ‘Welcome Here Kind Stranger’. Recently he has Released a live album from concerts recorded in 2001. The Vicar Street Sessions is culled from a record-breaking 23 concerts at the Dublin venue in 2001. Brady has never lacked for high-profile champions. Admirers include Bonnie Raitt, Mark Knopfler, Curtis Stigers and Van Morrison. These all guest on his new live album, The Vicar Street Sessions: Vol 1.
