Abby's teacher, Mrs. Schue, sent out an email to see if any students or families wanted to meet her at the local theater for the showing of "Finding Dory". She has a Nemo-theme in her classroom and mentioned to the ideas that class before school got out. Her email mentioned students could be dropped off and picked up at the lobby or families could join. First I was just going to drop Abby and rsvp'ed to the teacher and then Mrs. Schue asked if Allen wanted to go come too (he had her for 3rd grade too) and said, "once a Nemo, always a Nemo." So I was going to just drop them off and then Abby mentioned the the other kids would want to go to. ... SO we ended up with the plan to all go to the movie. We NEVER go to a new movie because I'm a cheap-skate, but I thought today could be special and we'd do it and I'd even buy popcorn... Emma coughed a threw up a tiny bit 10 minutes before we left. I checked her--no fever and she said she felt okay. I debated about staying home, but we were pressed for time... didn't have time to call a sitter and everyone was getting out in the car. I grabbed a bag in case there happened to be more. We bought 6 tickets and saw her teacher and friends in the lobby. And then Emma asked for the bag... and SPEWed all over. Twice! Guess we weren't going to the movie after all. The teacher told me to go over and get a refund for three tickets. She said she'd keep an eye on Allen and Abby and Melissa, another mom (which a son in Abby's class and a son in twins' TK class) said she'd sit by Jane and keep an eye on her.
So I went to the theater with six. And three left. One being sick. She has since had a bath and watching a Barbie movie with Jill. She requested popcorn. I said no, but Ross came home to bring extra food back from a work luncheon, and said popcorn was light on the stomach and it might be okay, hmmmm... I'm calling him if she SPEWs again!
I've got to pick up the three in 30 minutes.
