Independence Day

 Happy 4th of July!!

Started at the ward pancake breakfast. I led the singing to the National Anthem. Allen worked 10-6. Ross went for a run and worked on sorting. I created a new singing time video:

I fried hamburgers for lunch and made manicotti, baked mozzarella sticks, prepped garlic bread and made strawberry dessert. We had sparklers, piccolos, orchid and spinning and light flashing fireworks. We went to the city firework show, parking at the junction building and walking, funneling a placer in the stand a few minutes before and enjoying all the shows around us before a great show started!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July!

Primary Singing time involved flags and beads, singing My Flag My Flag, Fireworks Popping (tune of Popcorn Popping) and chorus to My Own Sacred Grove. I had plenty of flags and beads for kids to borrow.

We had scheduled the missionaries coming for dinner, but they had to cancel. They will come next Sunday. Jane set our festival table and I worked on dinner dishes for a few hours: rice dish, butter dips, strawberry dessert. Hard to make dinner when you're fasting :)

Snapped a few photos of us in our silly star glasses.

Happy Independence Day! πŸ¦…πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ ⭐

We drove near the city lights, parked at a church, walked and found a spot on the grandstand to watch. We came home and did more poppers in our driveway.

Reunion in Anaheim

Monday, Jul 31...

yummy breakfast at Embassy Suites in Brea. Ross was sweet and stood in line to get me an omelet.

Love the beauty as you look around and up!

That top tooth is crooked and wiggly!

Newport Beach Temple!

It's always fun to see different styles of temples in different places.
"Each holy temple stands as a symbol of our membership in the Church, as a sign of our faith in life after death, and as a sacred step toward eternal glory for us and our families."
—Russell M. Nelson @ LDS Temple Newport Beach, California

Family reunion in Anaheim. πŸ’ž
Oodles of pizzas near the pool, checking in, Cameron opened his mission call (Tempe Arizona), swimming, hugs, visiting, laughing, unloading cars, cousin play, Allen taller than all of his aunts πŸ˜œ, loading up with groceries/ t-shirts/ tickets from G'parents room (totally crammed room--a lot like the scene from Marx Brothers' "Night at the Opera" πŸ˜‚), "chillaxing" on the roof while watching fireworks.
Now kids are excited, packing lunches for tomorrow, clothes laid out, alarm set for 5am... πŸ˜² @ Anaheim, California

21 lunches packed for the next three days!
