8 dozen cookies

On Friday I found a cute drawing on the whiteboard. So fun having twins!

I took a snapshot of the night's activity and sent it to my ministering families.
While I was out picking up groceries I bought some pumpkins, perfect for cookie monster size :)
I spent a few hours making a double batch of snickerdoodles.

The kids had a cookie snack after school and then I took Allen to the DMV for his road test.

It took about an hour of waiting, even with an appointment, but he passed!
He's official with a paper that says so until his actual card arrives in the mail in 2 weeks. :)
8 dozen cookies made it to the ward party and not a sniff was left

"Yay Allen! Take a quick break and then we need to head to the park for the taco fiesta!"

The night Ross and I had a date: watching High Society (50s musical and didn't like the ending) and got some ice cream.

B'day Cookies

Tried to surprise an older friend in the ward but she opened her garage at the exact same time I walked to her for with a plate of birthday cookies.

Enjoyed two different shows on pbs.

Had leftovers for dinner

Starting video again because the other had file errors for every picture

It's raining outside and I love it! Last night the wild wind howled kept us up late and woke up in the middle of the night. Blizzard in the Sierras.

🌼Found this cute drawing in the car🌼

Caroling Cancelled

Sunday...

We had a special meeting at church that lasted an hour. I sang in the choir and brought rice crispy treats for the social after. The three girls also sang three songs with the primary. We invited Paul and Mihn and they both came.

That night we were having the ward carolers meet at our house, but caroling got postponed because of the rain. So we drove to look at lights and prepared for an early surgery the next morning.

Day 22: Be an answer to prayer... Her and I were sitting together and I shared how something I had been praying for was answered and I was the answer to someone's prayer at the same time. So cool!! ♥️

Day 23: "Think of a neighbor you don't know very well and take them a gift" 💝
Last night after Christmas lights we noticed a neighbor was pulling into his driveway, which is great, because he works out of the area so he's gone for long stretches. 🚙
Ross had a treat prepared for him and so we headed over and caroled as he was getting out of his car. We talked for a few minutes in his driveway. As we were leaving I noticed a cabinet in the corner of his garage that held figurines and asked about them. We got closer and there were shelves of different themes--Haunted Mansion, Christmas on Main Street, Pirates Lair, and Wild West--with lots of cool details in each set. It was so awesome!! 💀🎄🏴‍☠️🤠
His face lit up telling us about them and how the scenes were created. This is a hobby that started in his teens and he created a lot of the figures by hand. The kids were fascinated!
So last night we went to deliver a treat and found out something cool about our neighbor. When I saw the #LightTheWorld prompt for today I smiled. 😊💖
