Family History Friday

Family History Friday!! Working on a stack of names, rechecking information, unreserving and reserving. I'm going to take me probably a week to do each other because some have duplicates now and such.

Abby had an optional soccer practice @ 5. I dropped her off, Allen to Dominic's birthday party and then back to the soccer practice. Little sisters were enjoying a small pitching machine

Ross met us at practice and had take-out from Fiesta Altena (street tacos) and we got home and fed kids Totino's pizza bites, put on Gordy for them and watched Justice League upstairs and when it was done I put girls in bed and Ross picked up Allen from the birthday party at 10pm. I'm happy we were able to squeeze in a date and not be up too late.

Batting Practice on Pres Day

Abby and I got up early and went to the 50% off Goodwill sale. We saw wild turkeys in our neighborhood as we left.

The birds across the top of Office Depot made Abby laugh and she insisted I take a picture. We found lots of great stuff at Goodwill--clothes, shoes, puzzles, games, books, dresses, sports equipment... It was great!

It's not everyday we have a scrumptious brunch altogether. 😋🍳🥓

The girls set up little houses that morning while Ross went for a run.

Then we went to practice batting at the batting cages. Softball practice for all the girls starts this week.

Ross said this would be the funniest thing I saw all day and he was right!! What in the world?? Why would Walmart put hangers up on a ladder and so high?! I laughed about that for a while. We stopped at Walmart to get the girls batting gloves and chin strap for Jill's helmet.

After leftover (Asian) lunch we went to the park to ride bikes and play Frisbee.

Jane was wearing the same colors as her bike. They matched!!

It was a little chilly. When we got home we made popcorn and watched "The Princess Bride". And we used popcorn and goodies from a package the Whites sent us for "Happy Family Day". Abby got a kick out of the Kroger popcorn--when she was little and we lived in Texas she would say, "it's Kroga--not Kroga" because she couldn't say her R's. And now we quote her. :)

The kids loved the movie. And then we found the BYU Divine Comedy sketch called "The Freshman Bride" and watched it. Then we had dinner and then watched Olympics. It was a great President's Day!

President's Day Party

This is how we partied on President's day:

  1. I met Spring for Goodwill shopping at 7:30am. Everything was 50% off. I bought books, movies, toys, sandals, skirt, ties, roller blades and roller skates, scarves, puzzles and pioneer clothes for this summer's trek.
  2. Using a Groupon, we did the batting cages at Arena Softball.
  3. Using a coupon and gift card we had lunch at Olive Garden.
  4. Used a Groupon for rollerskating at Sunrise Rollerland. Meet the DeBurghs there.
  5. Stopped at Walmart for a few things like black beans and avocadoes.
  6. Cheesy chicken enchiladas with guacamole and salsa. Mmmm.
  7. Ross took Allen to Urgent Care to check his wrist. Just sprained.
  8. Baths/shower for three girls.
  9. Watched the new live-action Jungle Book. Got it from the library.
  10. Bedtime.
